Knock-knock, travelers!

The long-awaited update 0.4.31 is already available in the game!

There are a lot of changes in this version - from visuals to balance. Let's take a closer look at what awaits you in this version:

Fixes
  • Fixed a bug when Elven Idol stage did not start in the "Down with the Idols" event;
  • Fixed a bug that did not start the battle in the “Sniper” event;
  • Fixed a duplicated phrase in the “Elven Hospitality” event;
  • Fixed a bug when Elixir of Damage ignored evasion;
  • The “Continue” button in chest events is removed;
  • Fixed inconsistency in the texts of Vanadis in the “Metamorph” event;
  • Fixed overfilling with text for Persival in the “Bandit Camp” event;
  • Fixed an issue of Axe of Blood did not increase damage on summoned units;
  • Fixed an issue of Bjorn could not get an ally in the “Alpha Wolf” event;
  • Fixed an issue of Sigismund not transforming while under the effect of freezing;
  • Fixed an issue of Bjorn (Lunar Druid) unable to complete the quest “Voices of the Stars”;
  • Fixed incorrect calculation of HP received in the “One Blood” event;
  • Changed the effects of most trophies;
  • Fixed an issue of the Mace of the Inscribed Flaming Mace of Purity not applying Burning;
  • Fixed looping in Percival's “Hide and Seek” event;
  • Fixed issues with rewards and some cards not dropping at all;
  • Fixes of a large number of bugs and errors;
  • Fixed the playback of unplayable cut scenes;
  • Fixed the incorrect training of pets in the new event system;

Balance and what’s new in this version:
  • Chinese translation added in beta version. The translation will change over time, if you notice errors, feel free to send us a report from the game!
  • Missing icons have been added to the events of the Frontier location;
  • Reduced the amount of Strength that Vanadis has from Blood Ending;
  • Nerf of the Crimson Steppes set: the bonus to strength for winning the battle is now activated with 3 items of the set;
  • Nerf of the Crimson Steppes set: 2 parts of the set increase damage not strength, as in previous version;
  • Added transfer effects to points in Frontier events;
  • Added a new level of upgrading the starting cards for Vanadis (Sniper);
  • Orc helmet is improved. Now it protects against hallucinations;
  • The number of allies that Percival (Knight) can obtain has increased;
  • The principle of spreading of the Plague effect has been changed. Plague now spreads when an infected deals damage to health;
  • Percival (Knight) Ally Summon card now burns;
  • The mechanics of many opponents are reworked, both ordinary and elite;
  • Swamps location is seriously weakened. Enemies respawn with 50% health, less status cards added to the deck;
  • Added new trophy sacrifice mechanic. Now donating a trophy lets the player to upgrade 2 cards;
  • All maps have been redrawn and rebalanced. Runs are shorter and with fewer battles;
  • updated event system;
  • Camp events are rebuilt for the new system;
  • Merchant events are rebuilt for the new system;
  • Added items and trophies for events;
  • Added cards for event items;
  • Added travel notes for Bjorn and Percival after the first meeting with Millenis;
  • Added a tooltip and simplification for the Golden Buffalo fight;
  • The illusions of Millenis are buffed in the battle with Bjorn;
  • Added quest items to help in the fight with Millenis;
  • Strengthened the goblin in the "Choose Your Side" event;
  • Added preparations for the future expansion of the quest component of the game;
  • Added a preliminary connection of the final bosses with the new karma system;
  • New unique combats related to events.

Now let's get to the development process and one other, very important thing, which we’ll inform you about at the end of this diary, so be sure to read it to the end!

Time to make a camp
We work hard on events every day. Our beloved artists are laboring away to please you with new art. At the moment, several events are in the process of being made. The bandits’ camp is finally ready to be shown. These bandits seem extremely serious. It's best not to joke with them. Do you think they’ll let you relax by the campfire, or will you have to clash with them in a life-and-death battle for a place to rest?

Unexpected meeting
And these two, what are they up to here? This dwarf seems to look worried. Has the elf been threatening him? Or maybe we're in for the craziest team-up since The Lord of the Rings?

Zombies all around, even in the swamps!
Yeah, it's not the best time to chill in the bog – one of the training zombies is going through the gifted hands of our artists. He’s preening himself and ready to meet everyone who passes by his quagmire.But you can always fight him and get something nice for beating him.


This guy is swinging his mace way too skillfully. Apparently, these are his residual reflexes after zombification. So if you don't want to burn, be careful. As soon as he blooms in the skillful hands of our artists, there will be no escape from him!


Mosquitoes and other animations
Since we’re stuck in the bog again, it's time to get acquainted with the local fauna again. We showed you our beautiful Mite Queen recently, and now, finally, her animations are finished! Our animators have made her incredibly lively and strangely attractive. Be careful, don’t join the cultists!

But even without her, the bog is full of parasites – these phenomenally huge mosquitoes have just flown out of the magical animation room and are ready to drink some players' blood!

In the past we showed you how we develop new characters. One of them is the elf in the picture below. He has finally gotten an axe, some stylish movements and some green goo dripping from his mouth… It seems to be time for us to run or fight for our lives!

New cards and icons
Every little thing is important in game development: each icon and each status gets its visual display in the game. And the making of them goes on non-stop.

That's right – we’re finally ready to add all the updates from the open beta version to the main version of the game. Although our work isn’t finished yet you’ll still have something to be surprised by in the new version! How are things in the steppes?

Do you remember the event with a group of unusually friendly orcs? Well, now we’re ready to show you the final image which will appear in our game soon. At the same time you’ll have the opportunity to see how the goblin that got into their company is doing, and whether he needs your help!



Let's peek into the armorer's vault

For those who happened to be near the Northern Gate, our artists placed a very pleasant, but secretive armorer there. Be careful, they say he takes good care of his creations well, and it won’t be easy to get along with him.

Our animators want to share with you the animation of Kiara's attacks and the process of creating her art. Finally, we have an opportunity to see her in all her details. I wonder who gave her the scar.

Breaking news!

Our artists pulled a zombie out of the swamp. What shall we do with him now? It looks like we'll have to get him into circulation and do some good training with him. The journey through the swamps is not safe at all.

Knock, knock, travelers!

We’re happy to welcome you to this, the latest edition of our developer diaries. Today we’ll treat you to animations of a formidable, but lovable demon and also show you how work on events is going.

Charming orcs

We continue traveling the steppes as well as perfecting current events. This time, we’ve called on these sweet guys.

They look very amiable, but try not to hurt their feelings. One of the goblins has already run into these smiling guys, and you’ll have to do something about it. The event is still in the works, but here are some frames to look at:

Demon summoning

Our animators have started adding embellishments to one of the enemies – this demon is fully willing to bite off your hand if you try to pet him! The attack animations worked out gloriously.



It just so happens that one of his strongest weapon might just be tickling you so beware of his allies!

New allies will lend you a helping hand!

Our artists have started preparing allies for the animation process. These girls are drawn well, and they fight even better. Here’s to hoping that they’re on our side.




As usual, the hardest thing to do is to come to an agreement with men, so this man here definitely won’t participate in your adventures. You’ll have to convince him to let you pass.
