This update contains a lot of battle fixes and a first step in our goal to reduce the amount of RNG from skills and conditions. We will continue this process in upcoming patches. In online battles the next Ranked season is now opened, leaderboards of previous seasons will be added in a future update.

Note that this patch will be released for MacOS this weekend.
This update contains some significant PvP improvements and lots of QoL updates, besides the usual bug fixes.
One of the bigger changes is that when your match rules use the “set to level 50” rule, all Coromon in online battles will have the maximum number of Potential points possible. Whether you have a level 1 Standard Toruga, or a level 99 Perfect Swurmy, in online battles they will have the same amount of Potential Points. You can distribute these points in the online menu. If you don’t manually distribute them, the remaining points will be distributed randomly. This will make the competitive scene more accessible for new players, since you no longer have to grind for the perfect team. Of course using your Perfect Coromon in battles will still be the ultimate showoff!
To make PvP even more accessible, players can now use a Loan Squad in the online menu. This Loan Squad consists of a set of randomly generated Coromon and held items, which you can regenerate whenever you want, to try out new things! We’ll be tweaking and improving this feature in later updates.
Another big change is that Skill Flashes now have infinite uses. If you already used one before the update, you will find it again in your inventory.

Hey everyone! Between the demo and the full release, we changed a lot of mechanics which we believed would make the game more challenging. One such change we made was that we removed the guarantee of increasing a Potential 20 to 21, but as a compensation we increased the chances of lower Potentials to go up to 21. We’ve constantly monitoring feedback from the community, and we heard your concerns about this change.
The Potentiflator now again guarantees an increase of 1 Potential. We did keep the increased changes for Coromon with a Potential below Potential 20, so that’s a win-win!
Another such change is the difficulty in forced minigames like Flappy Swurmy. We’ve reverted this back to Swurmy Rush, which is a much easier game to complete. Flappy Swurmy is now available on your home PC, and will be featured in an upcoming side quest.
Another impactful change is for the competitive scene. When Coromon are reverted to level 50 for matches, their Potential points are no longer reverted with the level. So if you’ve unlocked all the potential points on level 99, you will keep them all!

This is definitely not an announcement we ever wanted to make but we want to be as transparent and honest as possible with you all. While working on our Nintendo Switch port of Coromon, we ran into some unexpected snags when it comes to online features and cross platform multiplayer. We want to make sure that the experience we bring to you all on Switch is going to be the best that it can be, and in order to do this, we have to delay the Switch launch. We’re hopeful that this delay won’t be too terribly long, as we know that you all are very excited to play Coromon on the go and against your friends/other researchers.
With all of that being said, we will still be launching on Steam this Thursday, March 31! The Steam build will include multiplayer and cross platform saves. Your saves from the Steam demo will also be able to be transferred over to the full version of the game. Once we do launch on Switch you will be able to play cross platform. We can’t wait to bring Coromon to Nintendo Switch, so we are working around the clock to get it there and will update you all once we have a new release date.
Thank you all for your support and patience with us. Shine bright!
Coromon is participating in the Steam Next Fest! We hope you all enjoy the demo and have fun learning about Lux Solis and the various Coromon you can catch. We will be showcasing the demo in our livestream featuring AniStal Bastion!
