Apologies for the long wait. We are happy to announce that the release of a major update which adds Stage 3 "The Fortress of Mist" and Stage 4 "The Dark Capital" has been confirmed!



The update will go live January 19th (JST).

Along with new weapons and magic, there are also new mechanics and a bow training area mini game!



Warrior priestess Flaus and the black dragon Narse appear as bosses. The most exciting character appearance however, is that of Parn, protagonist of the original novels and beloved of Deedlit. With his appearance, the story begins to pick up the pace.



Volume controls and a control scheme have been added due to popular demand too, for a more user friendly UI!

Dear fans!

We announced recently that the Stage 3 and 4 update would be coming this November but in order to further improve upon the update contents, we have had to delay the update window until January 2021.

Please take a look at these in development shots!



The below are points being worked on for the update in answer to everybody's feedback.

1. Addition of other language support for the pause and key config menus.
   
2. Addition of volume and other settings to the pause menu.
   
3. Addition of gamepad rumble support.
   
4. A new Game Manual, which can be checked in game at any time.
   
5. The resolution of the text font will be doubled, for ease of viewing.
   
6. From Stage 3 there will be new enemies which can inflict faint, poison and burn status effects.
   
7. Aiming the bow has been adjusted to slow down while holding down the backdash button.
   
8. New mini games.

We apologize deeply for the delayed update, please keep supporting Team Ladybug and rest assured that this coming update will be of the great quality that you have come to expect from them.

The stage 2 update for Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth has gone live today! The update introduces new magic and bow mechanics among other things!







Also Woodchuck will make an appearance and invite you to gamble!



Team Ladybug is extremely grateful for all of your passionate comments regarding the game since it released into early access.

Here is a message from them:

Thanks you for all the comments and requests!
In this stage 2 update we have made the following adjustments as per some of your requests!

• Moved initial cursor position to the weapon list when paused.
  
• Pause menu can now be exited with the cancel button.
  
• Altered back dash animation.
  
• Added weapon attack animations.
  
• Can now stop in place when hovering by pressing the back dash button.
  From this position you will be able to aim your bow or attack above or below with your weapon.
  
• When aiming with the bow you can now change the direction you're facing by back dashing.
  
• Toned down afterimage effects.
  
• Adjusted graphics slightly to make it easier to find hidden areas.
  
• Locked door colors now appear on the map.
  
• Magic attack power balance adjustment.
  
• Added Spirit power up items.

Apart from these adjustments that you requested,
we are planning to address more of your requests in the next update or subsequent updates after that.
There are also others that do not line up with our vision of the game so we ask for your understanding there.

The stage 2 trailer which shows some of the new content coming in the next update, was revealed at Indie Live Expo!



The update will add the second stage of the game and is planned for an late June release.

Efreet and Ylk are set to appear as mid bosses in stage 2!



Also the results and new banner from the fan art contest are also set to be revealed!

Due to the Covid 19 outbreak, development was impacted and it is taking longer than planned to push out the update. Needless to say we are doing our best to get the update out as fast as possible. Regarding the fan art contest for Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, we received some comments stating they did not realize a contest waa going on and if we could extend the deadline.
In order to give people more time we have decided to extend the deadline by 2 weeks.

The winning piece will become the official banner art for the title.
