The details for this update are as follows:

Brand-new content!
I. New Hero: Winter's Grace - Justina Gu
Born of high standing, she's spent the better half of her life on the run.
Noble princess of the empire; leader of the Pluvial Pavilion; an assassin with a heart colder than her blade.
Justina Gu cares not for these titles. All she cares for is revenge, and finding her mother once more.

(Justina Gu's third skill variant and ultimate are not open in current version. In the upcoming updates, players will be able to unlock them through completing Cultivation quests.)

II. New Mode: Omni's Nightmare

Description: Faction Versus Mode; Asymmetric Survival Mode.
Players: 30
Matchmaking: Players can enter the match through Solo, Duo or Trios, but will be assigned to a random faction and play individually upon starting Omni's Nightmare (in the future versions, the mode will also be available in Custom Lobby).

Basic Rules:
1. Each Hero can revive one time. Evil-Ent Lords will revive as Evil-Ents after being defeated. Evil-Ents are able to respawn without limit.
2. Heroes steadily lose Health while in the Shadow Corruption, but recover Health while in the Embers or Soul Lantern areas. Evil-Ents lose lots of Health while within the Embers.
3. Heroes have to submit Rattans to Soul Sparks until they're lit. After this, they start counting down until they go out. In the meanwhile, the Heroes are strengthened by varying amounts.
4. Each time when the Soul Spark is lit or the Evil-Ent Lord is defeated, the match duration will be extended.
5. Heroes receive varying amounts of Dark Tide Coins upon submitting Rattans or defeating Evil-Ents/Evil-Ent Lords. Dark Tide Coins can be used to buy equipment and items from Rift Dealers.
6. Soul Sparks can be extinguished by Evil-Ent Lords. Once being extinguished, Soul Sparks will enter a protection period during which they cannot be extinguished again.
7. While there are still Evil-Ent Lords left alive, Heroes can attack each other. There will be a penalty for defeating a hero by mistake. Once all Evil-Ent Lords have been eliminated, the remaining Heroes are considered of the same faction.
8. If the total Soul Spark progress amounts to 240% or more (300% counting as full completion), it will enter overtime when the countdown ends. During the overtime, the countdown will stop when Heroes submit Rattans and the duration will be largely increased when the submission succeeds.

How to Win:
Heroes: Light 3 Soul Sparks./Have no Evil-Ents left alive on the battlefield.
Evil-Ents: When the countdown ends, not all Soul Sparks are lit./Have no Heroes left alive on the battlefield.

Factions Info:
You're automatically assigned into either the Evil-Ents, Evil-Ent Lords or Heroes:
·Heroes:
1. Heroes who have picked up fake Rattan will be bound. However, Heroes are also able to free other bound Heroes.
2. Heroes can place and cancel marks on each other, identifying the target as suspicious (double-tap a Hero to target them, and double-tap an empty space to cancel). Heroes' vulnerability increases as the number of marks placed on them rises. These markers will be reset when a hero is defeated by mistake or an Evil-Ent Lord is defeated. There will be a penalty for defeating a hero by mistake.
·Evil-Ents:
1. Rattans will drop when Evil-Ents are defeated.
2. Evil-Ents can see Evil-Ent Lords' icons and their messages.
3. Evil-Ents increase their level by defeating Heroes. Evil-Ents of higher levels gain a greater resistance against the Embers (up to Lv. 5).
Skill: They can enter Stealth for brief periods, becoming visible again when launching attacks.
Ultimate: Planting fake Rattans.
·Evil-Ent Lords:
1. Rattans will drop after Evil-Ent Lords are defeated.
2. Evil-Ent Lords are visible to one another, and their markers are visible to all Evil-Ents.
3. While disguised as Heroes, Evil-Ent Lords can submit Rattans to extinguish Soul Sparks and nullify nearby Embers, so that the Rattans cannot be submitted to Soul Sparks then.
Skill in the Hero form: Same as the Heroes’ skill.
Ultimate in the Hero form: Transform to an Evil-Ent
(Evil-Ent Lords' ultimate in the Hero form will take effects after 120 sec. And before that time, Evil-Ent Lords can use their ultimate manually at any time.).
Skill in the Evil-Ent form: Same as the Evil-Ents’ skill.
Ultimate in the Evil-Ent form: Disguise as a Hero.

Chat:
Evil-Ents and Heroes may only communicate with nearby members of their faction, while Evil-Ent Lords can hear and be heard by all. (while 'Always-on mic' is enabled).

New Rift Dealer Items:
1. Firefly: Takes effect once bought. Grants a large Rage boost in a short period of time.
2. Pain Relief: Takes effect once bought. Resist damage for 30 sec, but will lose 200 health once the effects ends.

III. Limited-time event: Night of Snow

Hero Adjustments
I. Kurumi
For [Binding Prayer] skill and all the variants, Teleportation will no longer be interrupted by gold Focus melee strikes.
II. Yoto Hime
1. Increased the attack range of the [Spirit Slash] skill and the demonic blade's flight speed. Optimized the feel of Spirit Slash.
2. For [Spirit Slash] and all the variants, the gold Focus skills will no longer be interrupted by gold Focus melee strikes.
III. Valda Cui
The [Haze: Teleport] skill will no longer be interrupted by gold Focus melee strikes.
IV. Wuchen
1. Yin Yang Orbs set by the [Tai Chi Rift] ultimate will no longer be destroyed by enemies. Before the teleporting, enemies cannot see Yin Yang Orbs.
2. When casting the ultimate [Tai Chi Rift], Yin Yang Orbs will be marked automatically, in order to inform the party members of the location and distance of the Yin Yang Orbs.
3. Shortened the stiff duration when Wuchen and enemies switch the location in the ultimate [Tai Chi Rift·Switch]. Adjusted the enemies’ stiff duration from 1 sec to 0.5 sec, and appropriately decreased the transporting dagger of Wuchen. Adjusted the value of [Vulnerable] effect from 20% to 10%.
// Dev Note: Wuchen’s ultimate [Tai Chi Rift·Switch] was too profitable when combined with some other hero skills. Thus, we have raised the threshold for cooperation with Wuchen and decreased the effect of [Vulnerable].

Weapon Adjustments

Optimized the sound effects (SFX) for some Scale Rush moves.

Souljade Adjustments
I. Items and Buffs
Changed [Stormstride] effects to: Calls down a strike of lightning at your previous location 0.5 sec after dodging. This only takes effect within 15 sec of attacking, or being attacked.

Match Adjustments
I. Spirit Quests
Removed the [Spirit Walker] quest.

II. Scout Bell Adjustments
1. Increased the scout radius to 100m, and enemies behind the blindage will be visible. (Stealth and other special statuses are not shown.)
2. In the new mode, Omni's Nightmare, the scout radius will be increased to 135m, and enemies behind the blindage will be visible. (Stealth and other special statuses are not shown.)

III. Quick Match Adjustments
[Soulbloom Essence] will also be dropped in Quick Matches. They restore the same amount as in [The Herald's Trial].

IV. Dark Tide Coins Dropping Adjustment
Decreased the amount of Dark Tide Coins dropped from breakables in Artisan's Grove.

V. Gaming Optimization
Optimized the mechanics of some special effects, improved the frame rate and the lagging. These will be optimized continuously in the upcoming versions.

Out-Game Adjustments
I. Custom Lobbies
1. Added the option to customize spawn areas in The Herald's Trial Custom Lobbies.
2. Added new features to Ref Spectate:
(1) Refs can tap R while spectating to toggle Cairn player names.
(2) Refs can tap “[“ or “]” while spectating to adjust the range within which players' Health bar or names are shown.
(3) Added kill counts for each team member, shown below their Health bar in Team Info at the bottom-left corner.
(4) Added more Ref positions to Custom Lobbies.

II. Added Hero Stats
Players can now view their The Herald's Trial Hero Stats in the Profile - Hero Stats page.

III. Added Heroic Tales
Added Viper Ning's Heroic Tales Chapter 4. Complete the Chapter 3 challenges to unlock.

IV. Added Cosmetic Sets
1. Create your own Cosmetic sets, able to be quickly swapped between on the hero selection page.
2. The button to swap weapons shown above heroes' heads on the Home page now is on the heroes’ Collection-Match page. Here, you can choose what weapons will be displayed for each hero when they're on the Home page.

V. Controller Settings Optimization
When using controllers, adjusted the default setting of [Adjust Attack Direction] from [Attack from camera direction] to [Attack from stick direction].
(This adjustment will not influence the current players’ setting, while this will only be applied for the new characters’ default settings. Players can adjust manually in “ESC-Button Layout-Controller-Adjust Attack Direction”.

VI. Added First Bound Reward
Players will get [Immortal Treasure*1] as reward after binding their Steam Guard for the first time.

3. Restore the transparency of Valda Cui's Tide Traps, and optimized the texture performance of Matari’s outfit Misty Gauze when it is in the Tide Traps.
II. Combat-related Bugs
1. Fixed the issue that you couldn't move after operation when being hit by Thunderstrike.
2. Fixed the issue that BOT opponents would also lose Melee Aim Assist after the player has disabled it in settings.
III. Cosmetics-related Bugs
Fixed the issue that the texture effect of [Scale Finery] and [Seafarer Scales] might be blurred.

Addressing the Queue times, cheaters, and game performance. We have heard the community feedback and we are working to optimize your #NARAKABLADEPOINT experience. Read on to find out more:

1. Long queue time 
We have been aware of the ongoing issue from the data, community discussions, and live streams, that queue times have been long. 

Starting the 3/11 update, we will be applying a new queuing mechanic with the aim to shorten the queue time as a temporary solution, as we head back to the drawing board and find a more optimal solution.

The community has given us many suggestions, and we are actively looking into the feedback to find the best solution for all players of NARAKA: Bladepoint. We will be discussing with our Community managers and NARAKA Partners for more informed feedback and work towards optimizing the player experience by improving the queue times, combatting cheaters, and creating new content to keep your experience fresh and exciting!

2. Report system & Broom Skin
We have been cracking down hard on the hackers. Players who have made an in-game report will be notified by system email if they are successful. We have also further lowered the threshold for rewarding the [Righteous Polearm]. And from this week, we will publish the list of [Righteous Polearm] receivers in the weekly ban announcement. We hope this will reaffirm to players our stance on cheats.
We are also aware of the difficulties of reporting teamers for some players. We are working on a solution that would make for an easier reporting system.

3. Game optimization 
We've received feedback on slow material rendering or missing models, network optimization, etc. We are always looking to optimize the game. With new fixes, heroes and modes we hope to continuously keep your experience fresh and enjoyable.

Rules:
1. Completing Daily Quests to get Winter's Grace Token Lucky Bag or Winter's Grace Gift. While opening the Token Lucky Bag, you will obtain random Hero Token(s), with a chance of obtaining one of the extra rewards: Tae, Spectral Silk, legendary outfit, or legendary accessory etc.
2. There are 6 types of Hero Tokens. Claim corresponding rewards when having collected 1 to 4 set(s), which include avatars, Treasures, Justina Gu’s base, Justina Gu’s outfit coupon etc. Some of these rewards will be issued in the next version, please stay tuned!
3. Players can share 1 Hero Token that they already owned to 1 player per day (Tap Friend List, select “Share Hero Token” and confirm sharing). Your Tokens will not be deducted after sharing. In the meanwhile, each player can only be gifted 1 time per day.
4. From the end of the event to the end of redeeming, players can still claim collect rewards through claiming Hero Tokens on the event page, but will be unable to complete quests or share Tokens etc. When the redeeming ends (or when the items expire), each of them will be converted into 160 Tae in the Inventory.

1.For [Spirit Blades] and all its variations, the Spirit Blades now can be summoned while Wuchen is being attacked.
2. Increased the determination range of recovery in [Spirit Blades·Shield], from a radius of 4m to 8m.
3. Increased the transport range of ultimate [Tai Chi Rift], from a radius of 10m to 40m. Reduced the startup frame of transport from 2 sec to 1.5 sec.
4. [Tai Chi Rift·Switch] Reduced the startup frame of transport from 1 sec to 0.6 sec.
5. [Tai Chi Rift·Portal] Added the special effects of prompt while transporting.
//Dev Note: When Wuchen was surrounded by enemies’ attack, his skills couldn’t help him escape effectively. Now Wuchen can also cast skills while being attacked, so that he can better survive in the combat. In terms of his ultimate, we have decreased the distance limits for using, in order that all allies can be involved in and Wuchen can be more focused on controlling the timing.

Thus, we have adjusted the damage value of some souljades to make the combat more balanced.

Match Adjustments
I. Added the toggle of Team Voice
The toggle of Team Voice is now added to the page of Team Info and the map, enabling players to turn on or turn off certain players’ voice at any time in a match.
II. Adjustment to In-game Team Info
Players now can check their Team Info at any time by tapping Team shortcut in a match.
III. Adjustment to the Score rules for The Bloodbath & Eternal Blazes

IV. Outfits changing in the matches

When the hero is in [Stealth], the special effects of the bounty marks and some buff/debuff will be invisible to enemies.

I. Season Rewards
The Cavalry Season will end on 02/14/2022, 00:00 (UTC), and at that time, the rank of this season will be settled. In the meanwhile, the Season 3 [Echelon] will start. Players will be able to claim the rewards after the update.

III. The Herald's Trial – Duo
The Duo mode is now added to The Herald's Trial! Assemble a 2-player party and climb the Elo!

IV. New Rotation Mode
Added a new mode with gameplay rotating between [Shadow Surge] and [Eternal Blazes].
Details: [Shadow Surge] will be open first, after which the modes will be switched out each Sunday at 20:00 (UTC).

V. In-game Mechanism
1. New Mechanism: Forbidden Seal
① Effects: After the interaction with the mechanism, there will be a Forbidden Seal with a large range. All heroes within the Seal will be banned from using ultimate, or some of their ultimate status be interrupted. The Forbidden Seal lasts for 90 sec, and its cooldown is 180 sec. It can be activated for 3 times at most in a match.
② Launch Mode: There will be a random number of Forbidden Seals in The Herald's Trial, Quick Matches and BOT modes.

VI. Weekly Activeness Rewards
Complete a certain amount of Daily Quests each week to receive Weekly Activeness Rewards.
Details:
1. You receive different levels of rewards based on how many Daily Quests you completed that week (5/10/15). Join in to gain loads of XP, Immortal Treasure and Hidden Treasure XP!
2. Your Activeness is reset each Sunday at 20:00 (UTC).
3. Added a multi-conditional quest to Daily Quests: the quest will be regarded as completed as long as players satisfy any one of the conditions.

The event rules are as follows:
1. Players can open Troves and destroy breakables around them in modes including The Herald's Trial, Quick Matches, BOT Mode, and Shadow Surge to gain Blossom Branches. You can collect up to 20 per match and 50 per day this way.
2. Break open Blossom Bundles during the preparation phase of the modes above (including The Bloodbath and Eternal Blazes) to gain Blossom Branches.
3. Gain Blossom Branches by completing quests during the event. Blossom Branches can be redeemed for great event rewards.

Hero Adjustments
I. Valda Cui
The escape animation played while freeing yourself from Valda Cui's Tide Traps can now be canceled by jumping, dodging or crouching. The positions of the Tide Traps she sets on either side of her with [Haze: Teleport] have also been adjusted.
//Dev Note: Valda Cui's [Haze: Teleport] was overpowered, but following this update it's no longer a reliable way to achieve the upper hand when retaliating against foes on flat ground.

II. Kurumi
The recovery granted by [Sacred Circle] and [Sacred Circle: Armor Enhance] in Solos and Duos is now the same as that in Trios.

III. Tarka Ji
Adjusted the damage multiplier of [Inner Fire: Gigaflame] explosion from 285% to 200%.

IV. Wuchen
1. Ultimate: [Tai Chi Rift]
①Reduced the amount of Rage needed to use Tai Chi Rift by 20%.
②Yin Yang Orbs can no longer be set while under attack. You no longer gain gold Focus upon manually removing your own Yin Yang Orbs by holding.
③Setting Yin Yang Orbs now consumes 8% Rage instead of 35%. Once they're set, you can no longer build Rage by dealing or taking damage, but it still builds gradually over time.
④Portals' teleportation area has been increased from a 6-meter radius to a 10-meter radius.
//Dev Note: Yin Yang Orbs now cost less Rage to set, allowing Wuchen greater mobility and adaptability in battle.
2. Ultimate: [Tai Chi Rift·Switch]
①Reduced the amount of Rage needed to use [Tai Chi Rift·Switch] by 20%.
②Extended the stagger duration after Wuchen and his enemies are teleported.
3. Ultimate: [Tai Chi Rift·Portal]
①Reduced the amount of Rage needed to use [Tai Chi Rift·Portal] by 40%.
②Reduced portals' duration from 120 sec to 40 sec.
③Travelling through portals now grants a 15% attack boost that lasts for 3.5 sec.
④Dealing or taking damage no longer builds Rage while you have a portal open.
//Dev Note: Wuchen's arrival made new lineup and skill combos possible, but it was not easy to make his ultimates work as part of a team. So, we've lowered their Rage costs and buffed them to make Wuchen a more reliable, feasible pick.

Weapon Adjustments
I. Nunchucks
1. Adjusted the charged vertical strike: Dragon Flurry will be triggered after the second stage of charging.
2. Slightly extended the duration of Scale Rush's startup frame.
3. Optimized the distance covered with Scale Rush.
4. Added a flashing prompt for [Dragon Flurry].
5. Adjusted the running vertical strikes.

II. Pistol
1. Adjusted the range of Pistol’s damage falloff:
At a 32 to 40-meter distance, the damage falls to 80% of what it used to be;
When beyond 40 meters, this drops further to 60%.
2. Increased the speed that Pistol shots travel, as well as their max range.
3. Reduced Pistols' bullet spread.

III. Repeating Crossbow
1. Adjusted the range of Repeating Crossbow's damage falloff:
Previously, their damage would fall to 80% at a 32 to 40-meter distance; beyond 40 meters, this would drop further to 60%.
With this update, their damage falls to 80% at a 40 to 50-meter distance; beyond 50 meters, this drops further to 60%.
2. Sustained fire no longer spreads.

IV. Musket
1. Reduced the shot damage by 15%.
2. Reduced the magazine capacity from 12 to 10.

Souljade Adjustments
I. Buff Souljades
1. Removed epic and legendary Souljades from common sources such as Troves.
2. Aside from Buff Souljades, added extra buff to the rest souljades of epic and legendary quality.
       For example, the previous [Overlord] Souljade has the following effect: 'Stone Form directly reaches the third charge state'. Following this update, it retains this effect while also gaining 'Melee Defense +6%'.
3. When the Souljade bag is full, the Common and Rare souljades will be automatically replaced by their Epic counterparts.
4. Value adjustment of Buff Souljades
Adjustment details are as follows.
(1) Adjustments to Buff Souljades' base effects
     Adjustments to common Souljades' base effects:
     Health Souljade I: 'Health +10%' adjusted to 'Health +8%'.
     Attack Souljade I: Attack +3% (unchanged).
     Melee Resist Souljade I: 'Melee Defense +5%' adjusted to 'Melee Defense +4%'.
     Ranged Resist Souljade I: 'Ranged Defense +8%, Head Defense +6%' adjusted to 'Ranged Defense +7%, Head Defense +5%'.
   
     Adjustments to rare Souljades' base effects:
     Health Souljade II: 'Health +15%' adjusted to 'Health +12%'.
     Attack Souljade II: 'Attack + 4.5%' adjusted to 'Attack + 4%'.
     Melee Resist Souljade II: 'Melee Defense +7.5%' adjusted to 'Melee Defense +6%'.
     Ranged Resist Souljade II: 'Ranged Defense +12%, Head Defense +9%' adjusted to 'Ranged Defense +10%, Head Defense +8%'.

     Adjustments to legendary Souljades' base effects:
     Attack Souljade IV: 'Attack +7.5%' adjusted to 'Attack +8%'.

(2) Non-Buff Souljades' extra buff
    Adjustments to epic Souljades' effects:
    Health Souljade III: Health +12%.
    Attack Souljade III: Attack + 4%.
    Melee Resist Souljade III: Melee Defense +6%.
    Ranged Resist Souljade III: Ranged Defense +10%, Head Defense +8%.
   
   Adjustments to legendary Souljades' effects:
   Health Souljade IV: Health +18%.
   Attack Souljade IV: Attack +6%.
   Melee Resist Souljade IV: Melee Defense +9%.
   Ranged Resist Souljade IV: Ranged Defense +15%, Head Defense +12%.

   Adjustments to the maximum buff of Souljades:
   Health: Adjusted from +50% to +48%.
   Attack: Adjusted from +15% to +16%.
   Melee Damage Reduction: Adjusted from +25% to +24%.
   Ranged Damage Reduction: 40% (unchanged).
   Head Damage Reduction: Adjusted from +30% to +32%.

II. Move Souljades
1. [Gecko Foot]: Adjusted the Souljade's effects to 'Increases the speed when running up walls, and Scale Rush damage. Staying still for 5 sec while climbing, you will enter Stealth for up to 15 sec or until you move again'.
2. Added [Stormstride]: Calls down a strike of lightning at your previous location 0.5 sec after dodging.

III. Item & Buff Souljades
1. [Soothing Boon]: Adjusted the Souljade's effects to 'There's a 30% chance that Grappling Hooks, Weaponry Chests, Vitalia and Armor Powder won't deplete after use'.
2. Added [Mortal Defiance]: When taking lethal damage, evade it and break this Souljade. You gain 40% damage reduction for 5 sec and recover 500 health.
3. Added [Soul Release]: Defeating enemies resets skill cooldowns.
4. Added [Siphon Technique]: You recover 65% of the damage you deal as health for 7 sec after using Vitalia or Armor Powder.
5. Added [Mystic Alchemy]: Consuming fruits increases your Melee Resist (effects stack up to 60 layers).
6. Added [Juggernaut]: Defeating enemies increases your attack (effects stack up to 5 layers).
7. [Grappling Spool Boon], [Weaponry Chest Boon], [Atmos Barrier], [Miser] and [Craftsmanship] will not be dropped in the game.

IV. Longsword Souljade
Added [Assault•Longsword]: Burns enemies you hit with Longsword Grappling Strike, causing damage continuously.

V. Nunchucks Souljades
1. Added effect to [Flying Kick]: Biding Fury will be restored after hitting
2. Added [Nunchucks Sap]: The last move of a Counterstrike Combo restores 75% of the damage dealt as health or armor.
3. Added [Velocity Untold]: Alters Nunchucks' charged horizontal strikes, which restore Biding Fury when they hit.
4. Added [Dragon Roar]: Alters the Nunchucks' Dragon Flurry attack, and builds Biding Fury.

VI. Dagger
Added [Dagger Sap]: The last move of a Counterstrike Combo restores 75% of the damage dealt as health or armor.

VII. Katana
1. Added [Thunderstorm]: Alters the vertical strike Thunderstrike attack. You recover 65% of the damage dealt to enemies as health.
2. [Composure] will not be dropped in the game.

VIII. Greatsword
1. Added [Warrior Pace]: Increases move speed while charging up a horizontal strike with a Greatsword.
2. [Shockwave] will not be dropped in the game.

IX. Repeating Crossbow
1. Adjusted the [Healing Bolts] Souljade's grade to epic.
2. Added [Barbed Bolts]: Landing a shot on an enemy with your Repeating Crossbow leaves them unable to sprint or dodge for 2 sec.
3. Added [Curative Bolts]: Shots restore 30% of the damage dealt as health or armor.
4. [Sharpshot] and [Volley] will not be dropped in the game.

X. Pistol
[Cluster Shell] will not be dropped in the game.

XI. Bow
[Target Lock]: Adjusted the Souljade's effects to 'Landing a shot on an enemy with your Bow leaves them unable to sprint or dodge for 6 sec. Attacks on the same enemy can only trigger this once per 30 sec'.

XII. Spear
[Scale Rush·Spear] will not be dropped in the game.
Match Adjustments
I. The Bloodbath
Removed the Duo and Trios modes in The Bloodbath. However, players can still experience The Bloodbath (Duo & Trios) in the Custom Lobby.

II. BOT Modes
1. The Soulbloom Essence is now added to BOT modes.
2. Optimized the actions of the AI enemies.

III. Adjustment to the partial display of nearby items
The consumable items in the list of nearby items will overlay.

IV. Controllers
1. The Unarmed selection is now added to the weapon Radial Menu. Tap X/□ (Xbox/PlayStation) to switch to the unarmed status while opening the Radial Menu.
2. You can no longer switch to unarmed status by double tapping the direction button ↓.
3. There will be no delay when switching weapons by tapping the direction button ↓.

Out-Game Adjustments
I. Free Training
It's now possible to use locked heroes in Free Training.

II. Inventory
Increased the Inventory's capacity from 48 to 96 slots, allowing for more item storage.

III. Backgrounds
1. Optimized the light effects in some backgrounds.
2. Added facial expressions to Wuchen's [Happy New Year] Card-Emote.

IV. Additional Profile Info
1. Added info on how many hero and weapon cosmetics a player owns, visible on their Profile page.

I. Added Pick Up settings
Head to Settings – Pick Up Settings, players can now customize the upper limit of the consumable items in the bag. When the consumable items reach the set upper limit, they can no longer be picked up through the interaction button (but can still be picked up when opening the bag).

Bug Fixes
I. Hero-related Bugs
1. Fixed an issue where Wuchen's ultimate would mistakenly teleport him to the previous registered teleport point.
2. Fixed an issue where Wuchen's ultimate would sometimes fail to teleport Cairns.
3. Fixed an issue where Valda Cui's [Nether Nightmare] couldn't be escaped when teleporting with Wuchen's ultimate.
4. Fixed an issue where charging up a skill while grappling as Kurumi or Valda Cui would sometimes result in irregular speeds. Also optimized the feel of charged unarmed strikes.

II. Weapon-related Bugs
1. Fixed an issue where [Earthshaker] could be interrupted by a blue Focus strike, and the player might turn into the status of being hit.
2. Fixed an issue where players couldn't change direction (left/right) after launching a crouched horizontal strike with all weapons.

III. Other Bugs

Dear players,

The Cavalry Season will end on 02/14/2022, 00:00 (UTC), and at that time, the rank of this season will be settled. Thanks to all for your suggestions during the Cavalry Season, we will strive to bring better competitive experience to all players!

Looking back on the Cavalry Season, the new heroes Yueshan and Wuchen have joined the Morus Isle. The new weapon Nunchucks, along with Bruce Lee Crossover, also gained popularity among players. We have also updated the landscaping in the Morus Isle and will continue to adjust in order to reach a better in-game balance.

In the meanwhile, the new Season 3 [Echelon] will start on 02/14/2022. Looking forward to the new season, the comprehensively renovated Souljade system will bring more surprise to all players in the first update. The new hero Justina Gu, the new Casual gameplay, Sword and Fairy Crossover, Xuan-Yuan Sword Crossover, Fall Guys Crossover, Shadow Warriors 3 Crossover, and various brand-new contents are coming soon. Brand-new content!
I. New Hero: Wuchen, the Mystic Daoist
Born with the blood of both common mortals and the Heralds flowing within his veins, Wuchen was once scorned for his mixed ancestry. That is, until he began studying under the Heralds' leader, Omnius. The arduous, pained years Wuchen had endured burned like a fire within him. They gave him the drive to push harder, and realize the mysteries of heaven and earth. Wuchen holds firm to one thing more than anything else: he is the one with the power to shake off these worldly chains.


II. Map Updates
1. Added the all-new locations 'Breezy Maze' and 'Dragonspine Yard', and some other architectures and natural landscapes.

III. Limited-time mode [Shadow Surge] returns
Available from 01/24/2022 20:00 (UTC) until 02/03/2022, 20:00 (UTC).
The Shadow Surge mode is back again for a limited time, with the following updates:
1. Increased the number of Soul Altars upon the map.
2. Players now start with 2 different random melee weapons, instead of 6 as in the previous version.
3. When players are defeated, Soulbloom Essence will be dropped into their Cairns left behind (as in The Herald's Trial).

IV. Limited-time mode [Eternal Blazes] returns
Available from 02/03/2022 20:00 (UTC) until 02/13/2022, 20:00 (UTC).
The Eternal Blazes mode is back again for a limited time, with the following updates:
1. Players can now revive faster so they can return to the battle sooner.
2. Players are now given Pistols, Bows, Cannons, Repeating Crossbows and Muskets instead of receiving 3 random ranged weapons, as in the previous version.
3. Players will get a certain amount of Dark Tide Coins when using different weapons to defeat enemies.
4. The price of souljades and weapons from Rift Dealers are now priced according to their strength.
5. The maximum party size has been adjusted from 2 to 3 players.
6. Reduced the map size of the battle area.
7. In this mode, all heroes can be selected, but two heroes will be banned randomly in each game.

V. Preparation Phase
Available from 01/24/2022 20:00 (UTC) until 02/13/2022, 19:59 (UTC).
There will be a huge Red Envelope Rain in the preparation phase during the Spring Festival. Players can snatch Red Envelopes and redeem rewards in the Inventory.
Event Info:
1. In different modes, there will be one or two rounds of Red Envelope Rain during the preparation phase.
2. Players can get up to 15 Red Envelopes per day or each round.
3. Players can check and open the Red Envelopes in the Inventory when the match ends.

VI. Limited-time event [Spring Festival Greeting] begins
Available from 01/25/2022 12:00 (UTC) until 02/13/2022, 20:00 (UTC).
Event Info:
1. Once the event begins, players can spend their [Spring Nian Gao] to greet one of the Four Divine Beasts: either the Azure Draco, White Tiger, Vermillion Bird or Black Tortoise. [Spring Nian Gao] can be obtained from the [Spring Vitality] event.
2. One of the Four Divine Beasts will appear at 04:00, 12:00 and 20:00 daily to give all players Spring Festival gifts. If the Divine Beast that appears is exactly the one that players have chosen at the beginning of this round, they will have an extra chance to win one of the 5 big rewards (includes Extreme outfits [Rong's Glory], [Original Maiden], [Blistering Rage]). If not, players will receive a [Participation Prize] instead.
3. Players who have already get [Spring Nian Gao] can greet the Four Divine Beasts again and wait for their next appearance.
4. The event consists of 59 rounds in total, with one of the Four Divine Beasts appearing in each. Their first appearance will be on 01/25/2022 12:00 (UTC), with their last appearance on 02/13/2022 20:00 (UTC).
5. The deadline for claiming event rewards is 02/14/2022 20:00 (UTC).

VII. Time-limited event [Spring Vitality] begins (two rounds)
Start Time
Round 1: 02/24/2022 20:00 (UTC) until 02/05/2022 19:59 (UTC).
Round 2: 02/05/2022 20:00 until 02/13/2022 19:59 (UTC).
Event Info:
1. Before each round begins you can choose a high-grade reward to receive. Choices made are final.
2. Complete daily quests of each round to get corresponding numbers of Firecrackers. Redeem Firecrackers for event rewards during the round.
3. You need to choose a reward again once a new round starts, and cannot choose those already claimed in previous rounds.

VIII. Limited-time event [Nature of Taoism] begins
Available from 01/20/2022 Update until 01/26/2022 20:00 (UTC).
Event Rules: Gain Spirit Charms by completing quests during the event. Spirit Charms can be redeemed for great event rewards.

Weapon Adjustments
I. Nunchucks
1. Optimized the counterattack moves of [Dragon Flurry], the second horizontal strikes, and [Horizontal Block], in order to shorten the duration.
2. [Horizontal Block]: Adjusted the hit times of counterattacks from 5 to 3. Adjusted the damage from 53%*4+84% to 82%*2+131%.
Match Adjustments
I. Combat Adjustments
Shortened the protection period while reconnecting.

II. Bounty quests
A special 'guard' icon is now shown on bounty targets, visible only to themselves and their teammates. This should make it more evident that they're being hunted down.

III. Adjusted number of Ballista
The Ballista found to the right and left of Shadowjade Mine now each have only a 50% chance to appear.

IV. Earth Shrine during Spring Festival
The grades of items gained from Earth Shrines has been greatly elevated with this update. Happy Spring Festival!

V. Performance optimization
Optimized the multithreading performance of some game logic, which can effectively improve the frame rate.

Out-Game Adjustments
I. Optimized hero customization
1. Optimized some of the animations shown when switching outfits, equipping cosmetics and unlocking gestures.

II. New face customization features
Added new custom feature [Skin Type] to face customization. Here players can adjust to change the appearance of their character's skin.
This new feature can be found by navigating to [Customization] — [Edit] — [Skin], as shown below:

At present there are two male [Skin] options, and one female [Skin] option.

III. Added the 'Add From Recently Played' shortcut
When completing a match in a party, you can now quickly invite party members again after returning the Home page.

IV. Optimized avatar interface
Added category tabs for convenient sorting, making it easier to find the avatar you're looking for.

Unfortunately, we are not yet prepared to make a debut on consoles. However, we’ve made huge progress on console versions, but still need more time on development. When we have a concrete date set we will be sure to announce it on all of our platforms!




Can gamemodes like the Shadow Surge or Eternal Blazes be added to the game permanently?
With the success of the Festive Fellow and Path of Snow events, this is something we are taking into heavy consideration.



Is there anything new coming this year?
Of course, A LOT. Several new heroes, new modes, new map, new weapons (something the players have been requesting for a long time ;) ).

1. Shortened the delay before Tide Traps in Valda Cui's [Haze: Teleport] becomes active, from 0.3s to 0.1s.
2. Adjusted the damage when Valda Cui knocks back surrounding enemies during ultimates [Nether Nightmare], from 100% to 10%.
3. The base attack of Valda Cui's water spears from her [Nether Nightmare] and [Nether Nightmare: Bind] ultimates now increases along with her weapon rarity. The specific adjusted ratios are as follows:
[Nether Nightmare]:
Base attack when unarmed or wielding a common weapon is now approximately 62.5% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding a rare weapon is now approximately 75.0% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding an epic weapon is now approximately 87.5% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding a legendary weapon is now approximately 100.0% of that before the update.



[Nether Nightmare: Bind] Horizontal strikes:
Base attack when unarmed or wielding a common weapon is now approximately 72.0% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding a rare weapon is now approximately 86.5% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding an epic weapon is now approximately 101.0% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding a legendary weapon is now approximately 115.0% of that before the update.



[Nether Nightmare: Bind] Vertical strikes:
Base attack when unarmed or wielding a common weapon is now approximately 71.5% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding a rare weapon is now approximately 86.0% of that before the update.
Base attack when wielding an epic weapon is now approximately 100.0% of that before the update.

II. Yoto Hime
1. Yoto Hime is now immune to Vajra grabs during the 2.5s startup frame before casting her ultimates, [Ominous Blade] and all its variations.
2. During Yoto Hime's casting of [Ominous Blade] and all its variations, the action to fling the Blades is adjusted from blue Focus to golden Focus.



III. Transformation mechanic
1. Increased the base attack of Tianhai and Yueshan's ultimates while they are unarmed. [Titan's Call] and [Almighty General]. The base attack is adjusted to the same as they are equipped with common weapons.



Weapon Adjustments
I. Melee Weapons
1. Increased damage reduction effect on Counterstrike Combo after a successful Counter to all weapons. There will be a 70% damage reduction while being attacked.
2. Optimized the animation performance of certain moves when enemies are knocked into the air.



II. Greatswords
1. Optimized the range of Scale Rush strikes.
2. Slightly decreased the stagger duration of first stage of charged horizontal strikes when being hit.
III. Nunchucks
1. Optimized the range of airborne horizontal strikes.
2. Optimized some Nunchucks sound effects.
3. Adjusted the strikes of [Tiger Barrage] from 3 times to 2 times. Adjusted the damage from 147%*3 to 220%*2. Its attack range is slightly increased and the enemies hit will be knocked back instead of being knocked into the air.
4. Slightly increased the attack range of [Horizontal Block] countering and running vertical strikes.
5. Reduced the knockback distance of [Dragon Flurry], charged horizontal strikes and airborne vertical strikes as necessary.
6. The progress bar of [Biding Fury] will not be displayed aiming your grappling spools.
7. The damage values have been optimized as follows:
[Dragon Flurry] 1st Stage: Damage is adjusted from 64%*7 to 57%*7.
[Dragon Flurry] 2nd Stage: Damage is adjusted from 63%*4 to 50%*4
Increased the damage of charged horizontal strikes from 440% to 512%
Increased damage of charged vertical strikes from 235% to 383%



Souljade Adjustments
I. Longsword
[Longsword Sap] Slightly increased the hit range of the Counterstrike combo.



Match Adjustments
I. Soulbloom Essence Adjustments
1. Soulbloom Essence has now been added to The Herald's Trial. It restores 250 health and 250 armor, restoring 10% Rage instantly and 5% gradually over the next 10 sec.



II. Wishing well
Largely increased the randomness of the Wishing Well to replace items.
We have adjusted the reward pool of Wishing Well, now the rewards will appear randomly according to the rarity of the items thrown into Wishing Well.
When players throw into a Legendary weapon or armor: There is a 90% chance of returning Legendary items, and a 10% chance of returning Epic items.
When players throw into an Epic weapon or armor: There is a 30% chance of returning Legendary items, a 20% chance of returning Epic items, and a 50% chance of returning Rare items.
When players throw into a Rare weapon or armor: There is a 40% chance of returning Epic items, a 10% chance of returning Rare items, and a 50% chance of returning Common items.
When players throw into a Common weapon or armor: There is a 90% chance of returning Rare items, and a 10% chance of returning Common items.
When players throw into Common consumables: There is a 1% chance of returning Legendary items, a 5% chance of returning Epic items, a 54% chance of returning Rare items, and a 40% chance of returning Common items.
When players throw into Rare consumables: There is a 3% chance of returning Legendary items, a 10% chance of returning Epic items, a 67% chance of returning Rare items, and a 20% chance of returning Common items.
(Note: Consumables refer to items such as Weaponry Chest, Armor Powder, Vitalia, Grappling Hook, etc.)
III. Cosmetics
I. Gesture Adjustment
Updated Yueshan's default gesture, 'Greet'.
II. Card-Emotes Adjustment
Added facial expressions to the 'The Dragon' series of Card-Emotes.
//Facial expressions will be added to more gestures in future, so as to better fit in with the theme of the gestures and improve their overall quality.



Out-Game Adjustments
I. Added Intimacy Relationships
1. Establishing Intimacy Relationships:
I. Once the Intimacy level between you and your friend reaches 3, you can request to establish an Intimacy Relationship, including "Perfect Partners", "Best Buddies" and "Inseparable Allies".
II. Each player can have 1 " Perfect Partners ", 5 " Best Buddies " and 5 " Inseparable Allies " at most.
III. Relationships once established cannot be altered. To do so, you must end that relationship and request for a new one.
2. Intimacy Privileges:
I. Having established an Intimacy relationship, you'll unlock an exclusive background for the "Friend Memories" interface.
II. Once the Intimacy level between you and your friend reaches Lv. 6, you'll unlock exclusive in-game Rescue animations.
3. Ending Relationships:
I. After ending your Intimacy relationship with a player, you cannot re-establish relationships with this player within the next 7 days.
II. Deleting friends from your Friend list or blocking them will automatically end your Intimacy relationship, so please reconsider before doing so.



II. Free Training
1. Added the 'Reset Skill' feature allowing players to reset heroes' skill cooldowns immediately.
2. Adjusted the orders of weapons and souljades at Rift Dealers, making them aligned with the orders in Weapon Arsenal.



Settings
I. Controller Adjustments
1. Added the sound effects while selecting items in the bag in matches, in order to distinguish the right and left soundtracks. When handling items on the left side, the soundtrack will play on the left and vice versa. This can assist players to tell the position of selected items.
2. Keymapping – Added custom feature of [Replace Equipment] button in Controller settings.

2. Fixed an issue where some purple and golden Focus strikes could be parried by Greatswords' Stone Form.
3. Fixed an issue where moves of charged horizontal strikes may not be smooth while running with a Greatsword.



II. Other Bugs
1. Optimized Valda Cui's 'Sneer' emote and fixed the issue that the animation might not be smooth in some cases.

This week we have a short FAQ on some suggestions we gathered on character optimization for the future. Let's take a look at them:

1. Can you make something special for Valda Cui's eye patch design? For example, add some accessories just like Viper Ning’s.

A: Great idea, we will get right to it!



2. There aren't many hairstyles for Kurumi, and some of them are not particularly good-looking yet other female characters have many pretty hairstyles, can you give Kurumi some pretty hairstyles such as Pigtails?

A: We love Pigtails too and she will be getting them in the future!



3. Kurumi’s shoes are mostly wooden clogs, can she get shoes other than those?

A: We are working on a ton of new cosmetics for Kurumi and they are coming soon and we're super excited for you all to see them!
