1. The game has become laggy after the update and optimization seems to be worse
Our background data shows that the performance has improved after each optimization. However, we've received feedback from many players suggesting that the optimization seems to be worse after the update. We will use a megathread to collect specific issues from players after the next update to further analyze what went wrong.
Our goal is to continuously optimize the game for all users to enjoy the best experience when playing. You can also check out our patch note, which will mention some of the optimizations and bug fixes we have done.
2. Ping lock and queue time issues
We have been working on this issue and would like to keep up with the community on our progress. We've been doing some gray testing and trying to balance between preventing players from encountering unstable players on the network, and longer match queue times.
There are many different factors for high ping in the server, but know that we are working to address these issues that players have been facing!
These issues are often discussed both within the player community and internally. First, Matari, we understand how people feel about her, a beautiful female assassin, but it’s sometimes impossible to catch her. Heroes are never designed to be perfect, and Matari is not as hard to deal with in trios as she is in solo. You can use Temulch's ult to control her invisible teammates or use Viper's ult to keep them from using their stealth, and so on. The same goes for weapon balance. We've already made an adjustment to the longsword, and we're watching for the strength of toothpicking.
4. When will the new season start?
The new season will begin after the November 11 GMT+8 update.
5. After the new season, will the Tidal Treasure pity pull be carried over to other chests?
The Tidal Treasure pity pull is independent of other chests, and the attempt tallies will not be carried over to other chests. You will not be able to buy Tidal Treasure chests in the next season, but the ones already bought can still be opened.
6. Will the Spectral Silk Store items reset at the end of the season?
The items in the Spectral Silk store will not reset at the end of the season.
7. Will the existing Hidden Coins disappear next season?
The existing Hidden Coins will not be available next season. There will be new coins available for the next season.
8. Can the ranked resets and season rewards be revealed?
The ranked season reset and season rewards will be announced a week or so in advance.
9. Why can I still play ranked after the Tidal Event is over, do I still gain LP?
You can continue to play ranked and gain LP. At present, the season is still ongoing, only the Tidal Event is over.
10. I hope there will be a cool-down between bounty missions, I am often chased all over the map.

Heroes I. Valda Cui 1. Ultimate [Nether Nightmare: Bind]: Initiating a horizontal strike after using this ultimate no longer breaks enemies free from Bind. The hit rate of Valda's horizontal strikes has been improved, and she now has a new vertical strike in which she hurls forth a water spear: it travels slowly with a comparably low hit rate, yet deals high damage. //Comments from Dev Team: These changes were implemented given that [Nether Nightmare: Bind] was originally only meant to bind multiple enemies, but wasn't working as well as intended. Tips: Vertical strikes have a very low hit rate when used alone. Try linking them in with horizontal strikes as part of a combo!
Weapons I. Longsword 1. Slightly shortened the stagger duration inflicted upon standing enemies with normal and running horizontal strikes. //Comments from Dev Team: The horizontal strike of Longsword contains probing, chasing and combo effects. The function is so comprehensive that we need to weaken it. II. Dagger 1. New weapon advantage: [Energy Demount]. First of all, we are thrilled to see that everyone likes this new mode, especially the devs responsible for designing Bloodsport! They really appreciate your love and enthusiasm. As of now, there is no plan for it to have a ranked system. However, this mode has a hidden MMRs system that will match opponents around your skill level. We are already discussing all the feedback and making considerations about how we can further improve players’ experience. We will continue working hard to optimize this mode in the future. Meanwhile, we are also designing a new team-based mode that will provide players with refreshing combat experience.
2. Lag spike at the beginning of the game Most likely, it is because your computer is reading map data. NARAKA's map is huge, so it takes some time to read and process it. As you may know, we have already carried out a wave of optimizations for non-SSD hard drives, and we will continue to do so in the future.
3. Can you reveal more information about the new hero Yueshan? We don't want to spoil too much of it, but we can provide a sneak peek at his story. Yueshan, the Unyielding, growing up in a military family, had been trained rigorously by his grand-father, and became one of the youngest commanders in the army. New Mode: Bloodsport An all-new mode, 'Bloodsport', is now open! 16 players must face off against each other in locations across Morus Isle. Engage in 1v1 battles to rise up the ranks until a champion emerges! Details for this mode are as follows. 1. Bloodsport is available to all players, all day. 2. Players must choose their hero and weapons for the round before it begins, and cannot change their decision until the Bloodsport finals. 3. The final rounds are decided in a best-of-three. Prior to these three rounds, players must choose their heroes and weapons (can choose the same heroes as in previous rounds). 4. If both players are still alive at the end of the round's time limit, the victor will be determined according to the following, in turn: (1) The player dealt higherdamage. (2) The player with higherremaining health and armor at round end (if both heroes dealt the same amount of damage). (3) If players' remaining health and armor are also equal, the one who first caused damage shall be the victor. III. Kurumi 1. Kurumi's ultimate [Sacred Circle] is no longer affected by Flamebringers or [Fire Arrows] Souljades. Only heroes' skills and some in-game mechanics can alter its circle and its effects.Kurumi’s circle now can only be altered by allies.If it is altered through in-game mechanics, its effects are neutral and apply to all parties. 2. Increased the damage of [Sacred Circle: Fire] from 75 to 100. 3. Shortened [Sacred Circle's] duration after it has been affected by fire or poison elements.
IV. YotoHime 1. The 'Piercing Vision' granted by her ultimate [Ominous Blade] and its variants now also makes enemies with Stealth visible. 2. [Spirit Slash: Vortex] now has golden Focus effects, knocks back enemies hit and can be used while under attack.

III. Dagger 1. Increased the damage dealt by horizontal strikes' third attacks (from 301% to 367%) and vertical strikes' third attacks (from 261% to 381%) respectively. 2. Increased Counterstrike Combo damage from 299%*2 to 132%+528%. 3. Players now can dodge the Uppercut Slash after the [Soulbreak] that follows a [Dagger Dash]. 4. Slightly shortened Daggers' charge time. 5. You can now follow airborne vertical strikes and [Dragon Crush] with [Dagger Dashes]. 6. Optimized the feel of some [Dagger Dash] moves. 7. Slightly increased the range of Counterstrike Combos.
IV. Greatsword 1. Reduced the damage dealt by airborne horizontal strikes (from 336% to 298%) and airborne vertical strikes (from 233%+23% to 194%+19%) respectively. 2. Increased crouching vertical strike damage from 209% to 240%. 3. Reduced the damage of running vertical strikes, from 357% to 315%. 4. Crouching horizontal strikes now can hit downed enemies.
V. Katana 1. Increased the damage dealt by horizontal strikes' third attacks (from 302% to 384%) and vertical strikes' third attacks (from 252% to 298%) respectively. 2. Reduced the damage dealt by airborne horizontal strikes (from 128%*2 to 85%*2) and airborne vertical strikes (from 250%+19% to 148%+15%) respectively. 3. Increased the damage dealt by attacks following a [Blink Strike]. Follow-up horizontal strike damage has been changed from 247% to 283%, and vertical strikes' damage from 238% to 258%. 4. II. Spear Souljades 1. Increased the damage dealt by [Dual Ring's] horizontal strikes' third attack, from 189%*2 to 221%*2.

Yes, you read this right. This week, a new and exciting game mode, Bloodsport, is coming to NARAKA! Bloodsport is a melee-focused 1v1 game mode where players face off against their opponents by dueling them one by one as they make their way to the top. This mode will truly put players to the test! After all, becoming the best of the best means mastering all heroes and melee weapons.
2. About the weapon and character skill balancing
'Nerf this weapon/character... ' - Yes, we hear your requests and have been paying close attention to the feedback from players on balancing certain characters and weapons. For now, we would like to assure you all that we are working hard in the background to align the community's requests with what we see in the game data to improve the gameplay experience for everyone. We will release the balances once we have come to a satisfactory solution.

After the September 28th update, some of the NVIDIA graphics card users are unable to use the [DLSS] function. Now with the latest patch, the [DLSS] function will be back working normally as intended.
