Try the demo of Starship Troopers - Terran Command on October 1st

We have great news: Starship Troopers - Terran Command will be doing its part in the Steam Next Festival, and everyone will be able to download and play the demo.

The demo will contain two scenarios, including “Peace of Mine.” This is an early scenario that already features most of the game’s key mechanics: players will deploy the Mobile Infantry to defend a central outpost, which will serve as the staging point to reactivate mining facilities and clear out all bugs nests in the surrounding area.



We know that you’ve been looking forward to more news about the game. From our side, we’re looking forward to hearing what you think. We can’t commit to a specific release date yet as we want to act on the feedback we will receive. We only ask you, if you’re willing, to give us your honest opinions on the missions you’re going to play, so that we can ensure that the game lives up to fans expectations. You can share your feedback on the upcoming Starship Troopers - Terran Command Discord server, which will be launched on October 1st.

“Releasing a Starship Troopers - Terran Command demo at Steam Next Fest was a key decision in the development pipeline”, said David Sharrock. The Starship Troopers - Terran Command demo will be freely available on Steam from Friday, October 1st at 5 PM GMT to Thursday, October 7th at 5 PM GMT.

Citizens of the Federation, the Sky Marshal and the Federation Council have ordered a new offensive.

The Mobile Infantry has been deployed for action. Its task will be to retake a vital mining district, which has recently been overrun by the Arachnids.

The offensive and the liberation of the district will be broadcast LIVE on FedNet on Tuesday at 16:30

Yesterday was a very important day for Starship Troopers - Terran Command.

First off, we showed you brand new gameplay clips and told you more about the game, live on Twitch, YouTube, and other streaming sites. We were looking forward to that, and we knew you had been waiting for it. Development has been progressing, and we hope it showed.

Secondly, we've opened recruitment for our beta.

We are in need of players willing to help us test the game, so that we can kill -all- the bugs.

Please note three things:

- Signing up for the beta does not guarantee you’ll be able to get in. We will make a selection and pick our testers out of all those who applied;
- If you participate in the beta, you will be placed under a non-disclosure agreement (NDA). It means that you won't be able to show or tell anyone about the game version you're testing. You won't be allowed to stream it, either.
- The first beta testing phase in which we will use external testers will start in a month or two. If you don't receive a reply immediately, don't despair: you might still be selected.

When we first announced Starship Troopers: Terran Command in December 2019, FedNet soon became overwhelmed by the response and interest from people all over the globe who added it to their wishlists.

Therefore, the Federal Council authorized allocating additional resources toward development to ensure the quality of the game will meet fans' expectations.

Then the pandemic hit the team hard, compromising efficiency and disrupting plans for mobilizing a launch in 2020.

Slitherine LTD, the world’s leading publisher of digital wargames and strategy games, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products, announced today “Starship Troopers - Terran Command”, a real time strategy game based on TriStar Pictures’s iconic 1997 movie to be released for PC in 2020.

Set in the same universe of the original movie, “Starship Troopers - Terran Command” drops players right at the heart of a human colony overrun by the Arachnids. They must take the fight into bug territory, where they will lead an army of elite soldiers to defeat the alien menace. They will deploy their units in strategic locations to cover vital choke-points, build defence emplacements, and achieve superior firepower through the tactical use of elevation levels.

“When creating this game, we aimed to capture the essence of the original movie and its universe. Slitherine is also a core strategy games publisher though and that doesn’t go away. This is why the British publisher is working with strategy games developer The Artistocrats to create a product that features complex mechanics, deep gameplay systems and a wide variety of options to turn a fast-paced strategy game into a mind-bending experience that involves multiple solutions to a very basic problem: to kill a lot of bugs.

The Artistocrats are the Belgian development studio behind the Order of Battle series and Commander: the Great War. Studio owner and lead designer Lukas Nijsten has been working on “Starship Troopers - Terran Command” for over two years now. The game is set to release in 2020.
