Lilly Knight and the Three Cities of Lust - HFTGamer

We have just update Lilly Knight to version 1.3, which included a number of performance improvements and gameplay changes. The list of changes are:

1) Numerous performance improvements. In an effort to bring Lilly Knight to more users, and users with lower end computers that want to get in on the erotic fun, we have implemented a number of enhancements and performance improvements throughout the game. These should be transparent to existing users, but should allow users with more standard and less advanced hardware to experience the fun.

2) Gameplay changes. The battle system in Lilly Knight has been reworked into a traditional turn-based system. There is no more attack timer to keep up with, and no penalty for taking for you time in battle. As Lilly Knight is primarily an erotic adventure story, the battle system needed to be more user friendly and less of a hindrance for players getting from one erotic challenge to another.

3) Visual Improvements. A number of subtle visual improvements have been implemented throughout the game.

4) Bug fixes. A number of simple gameplay bugs have been addressed.

Lilly Knight has been updated to version 1.2, with many requested enhancements, features and bug fixes.

The most obvious difference in Version 1.2 is the new "settings" options that are available from the main menu AND from the pause screen within the game. Here is what is included:



As you can see, we have provided the frequently requested options to invert the control Y-Axis, to disable the "depth of field" effect that some have found undesirable, and to lower the volume of the music and the environmental noise.

But most importantly, we have begun to address the concerns of those who found the battle system to be tedious and to get in the way of the overall erotic game experience. We have provided 4 new options to configure the battle system:

  • Standard: Take it nice and slow, engage in battles that take some time to overcome, and advance carefully.
  • Faster Battles: Battles still take place in the same format, but the speed is nearly doubled. You have to be on your toes, but battles take up much less time.
  • One-Shot-Kill Everything: Feel all-powerful as Lilly dispatches all of her foes from the smallest of trolls to the deadliest beast with one single shot. Great for those who want to progress from one erotic scene to the next with little interruption.
  • Only Fight Bosses: For those who simply want to be left alone as they travel from one bit of sexy to the next, this option will get you there. The only battles in this mode are the ones pivotal to advancing the erotic story.

In addition, we have also provided the option to have all enemies visible at all times, rather than have them randomly appear. This is the new default, but enemies can be hidden by choosing the "Some enemies appear randomly" option.

As the game has only been released for 5 days, this is more of a "quick-fix" than a "long term solution" to concerns over the battle system. We will continue to evaluate improvement options, but since this is first-and-foremost an erotic-story-game, these changes should allow our players to get to what they are looking for easier and with less frustration.

Best of all, you can switch back and forth between these options at any time, even in the middle of battle. So if a particular foe is giving you trouble, you can quickly switch to "one-shot-kill" mode and wipe them out quickly.

Also included in this update are a number of important performance enhancements and bug fixes as well. We thank you all for your feedback, and we promise to continue to address your concerns and implement your feedback wherever possible.

Some of you all who have played the Lilly Knight game have expressed some concern about the simplified combat system in the game, and we get it. It is simple, and was always meant to be an easy bit of interactive fun as the main character travels from one wild sexual experience to another (and an excuse to watch her physics-based-3D-breasts bounce as she prepares to attack!),

Lilly Knight is an Erotic, Sexy story first and foremost. Our intention was not to build a full-featured RPG game with a few Erotic elements here and there, but to build an amazing Erotic adventure story with some RPG elements. There are TONS (and we mean TONS) of amazing RPG games available on STEAM, but there are not lots of erotic adventure stories of the caliber and quality of Lilly Knight.

While we can't rework the combat system completely overnight, we will be quickly addressing a number of concerns with the system, the primary concern being that the combat system is a bit slow and repetitive and occasionally gets in the way of enjoying the rest of the game. Within the next two days we will patch the game to include these new "Modes" for the combat system:
- "Standard": What is it now.
- "Faster Battles": The same style combat, but the time-meter will move twice as fast. Battles will be much shorter.
- "One-Shot-Kill Everything": The battles still occur, but you take one swipe at the enemy and it's over.
- "Only Fight Bosses, Random Minions will not appear": This one is what it sounds like. You are free to travel from one sexy-scene to the other, and only have to battle the few bosses that are pivotal to the story in the game.

During the game, you will be able to freely switch back and forth amonf these "modes". We will also be introducing an option to have the demon minions always visible on the map (not randomly encountered) to avoid "jump scares" and the random encounter fatigue.

We will be implementing these changes very soon, along with some other bug fixes and requested features, and will then look towards overall improvements to the combat system long term.
