The zone is getting more dangerous.

The further the stalker goes to the Zone, the more inhospitable and dangerous the environment becomes, the mutants are angrier, and the anomalies are more fatal. However, whoever answers the Zone challenge and survives will be rewarded. It is this concept of the Zone that seems to us the most correct, and in order to operate effectively in the depths of the Zone, a stalker needs to acquire advanced skills, improve his equipment and train his personal "skill".

Following this development logic, we have decided to make such remote areas of the Zone as the Caravan and Novaya Zemlya noticeably more dangerous and more demanding in terms of skills and equipment.

In the depths of the Zone there is a vast area called "Caravan", known for rare artifacts and valuable prey from mutants. Having not lost in number, but becoming noticeably stronger and more dangerous, the mutant hogs have now evenly settled in the Caravan and roam it at night, surrounded by their younger relatives. Now they are truly able to challenge the most experienced hunters. However, stalkers who know their weaknesses and are able to pierce their thick skin from their weapons will receive a valuable reward and a large amount of combat experience.

Another attractive place for stalkers in the depths of the Zone: small islands in the north of Novaya Zemlya. It is known that they are valuable for numerous archaeological finds. Recently, there has been an increased anomalous activity, due to which the archaeologist Arkady Rzhavyy is forced to look for desperate daredevils who are ready to face new difficulties and bring him ancient fossils.

The super mutant, known among stalkers as Spider-khan, also became more tenacious, as befits a real "boss" among the creatures of the Zone. Now, to emerge victorious from the fight with him, you need a well-trained and experienced team. Well, or the help of the "Spider Killer".

The result of any activity must be in demand

Whatever the stalker does in the Zone, be it hunting, war, gathering, completing quests or crafting, the result should be new game possibilities. If a stalker is engaged in hunting or gathering, his prey is parts of mutants and objects, and he should be able to exchange this loot for equipment or some services of interest to him.

Following this logic, in the current update, we have not only significantly expanded the range of goods traded for Trade Points by the NPC Supplier, but also significantly increased the range of mutant parts for which he is ready to give these Trade Points. Now hunting for almost any representative of the fauna of the Zone gives access to special goods of the Supplier, if, of course, you bring the loot to him. In order to balance the new opportunities, we have slightly reduced the purchase prices at which the Supplier accepts the loot, and now it is similar to the price of most other traders.

And his goods deserve attention: these are all types of shotguns, attachments for them, scopes and silencers for most weapon models. In addition, for the Hog's Lap, mined at the Caravan, he is ready to offer a profitable exchange for zinc and boxes with the most valuable and rare cartridges.

In line with these changes, Pushkin, the gunsmith from the bar under the Distillery, is now ready to sell players a more serious barrel, namely the M16A1. And the Gourmet buys up many parts of the mutants for Trade Points that were not of interest to him before. Separately, we note that in the new reputation system being developed now, Gourmet Trade Points will be extended to trade offers of all merchants who have settled in the settlement where he prepares his "gourmet" dishes.

Smoothbore weapons

We strive to add value to each weapon type. Of course, the strongest will remain in the game, but it will not be able to cover all the needs of the stalker during survival in the Zone.
In this update, we have give meaning to shotguns:
  • increased outgoing damage with all types of cartridges (12x70 0000, 12x70 bullet, 12x76 00, 12x76 0000, 12x76 bullet from 30 to 50% depending on the specific cartridge);
  • adjusted the damage in such a way that the greatest was dealt close (up to 3-5) and decreased in direct proportion to the distance to the target.

We are closely monitoring the state of the in-game economy. The current commission for trades on the board has ceased to correspond to prices, so we have changed its size.

NPC and Quests.

  • Story quests can now be taken even if the quest list is full.

Second PVP Season
  • The second PVP season starts on November 1 and runs until January 31

  • New arena for Capture the Flag - Garages. At the same time, the "Polar Station" arena remained in the game. The "Garages" and "Polar Station" cards replace each other every hour.

  • The problem in the quest "Airplanes are flying" has been solved, when the stalker dies while interacting with the door and loses the opportunity to enter it in the future. Now you can enter.

Stalkers! We continue to introduce you to the Black Forest location. Today we would like to show you in a little more detail one of the iconic places - the military town.

The military town, which belonged to the military unit, was built by the forces of the villagers and the military. The initiative of the command was the construction of a stadium, the opening of a new kindergarten, previously inaccessible to the villagers.






The alley of the VII Party Congress was full of propaganda posters and steles calling for work and construction of communism.



The military unit was controlled from the headquarters. The control of the laboratory, the bunker-refrigerator, the military warehouse was carried out using telephone communications and messengers. All military installations are connected by roads and power lines and telephone cables.







Now peeling paint, torn roofing sheets and destroyed walls only add to the bleak landscape.







The warehouse of the military unit is still functioning. It is a convenient place for storing and exchanging valuables.





When the wind dies down, you can hear a baby crying from one apartment. Locals bypass this place. They say the child was forgotten in a locked apartment during the evacuation. But when was it? And is he still alive? Horror ...

The development of the "Pripyat outalands", which, as we said, will be divided into two locations, is entering its final stage. At the moment, the developers have the last, but at the same time, the most important part - to fill with characters, quests and activities the first of the two locations on which the stalkers will step - the Black Forest.

Today we would like to open the veil of secrecy over what awaits you.

"Black Forest" is located on the left bank of the Pripyat River, just north of the city to which it gave its name, in the valley between the villages of Krasno and Usov.





Since the 50s of the 20th century, they have been closely engaged in animal husbandry. Cowsheds and pigsties were built around the villages, and several hundred hectares were allocated for pastures. A huge system of irrigation canals and a dam, which saved the surrounding areas from flooding, functioned without failures from the very opening.





Since the mid-70s, a military unit has been located on the outskirts of the villages, the purpose of which was to create and store a strategic stock of meat. The main building, the breeding laboratory, the underground bunker-refrigerator - the construction went on for five years.





The service of the military did not cause difficulties for the villages. On the contrary, letters from the chairmen of state farms for the provision of labor and equipment have always been viewed positively. Local residents helped rebuild the military town. On the occasion of the inauguration of the military town, the military unit was given the status of “separate”, which removed it from the general subordination.



From that moment in the history of the village Krasno and Usov is a white spot. These names did not appear in the media, and documents disappeared from the archives.

10 years ago the road to these villages was flooded. The lowland was turned into an impenetrable swamp. The high content of methane in the air made the passage of an untrained person through swamps really difficult. There are known cases of missing people.

NEW SPIDER-KHAN CAVE

In the northern part of the Lubech’s Suburbs there are a number of natural caves, which probably became part of the mysterious experiment of scientists from the “Science Laboratory”. Now there, behind a thick metal door, a gigantic spider dwells - the “zero specimen," as scientists call it. A creature that should not have appeared, and whose connection with the events in the Lubech’s Suburbs is still not completely clear. It is difficult to find a more dangerous place in this region and take risks, because only a well-armed and trained group can go down there.

Spider Khan’s Cave was redesigned and now divided into two parts, one of which has remained virtually unchanged, and the second is a dungeon designed for 5 people. Khan himself, now is only inside the dungeon. Moreover, in order to enter the players must be in the squad (at least two). The entrance to the updated cave is on the left, immediately after entering the “classic” cave.



For passing the encounters of the dungeon, the stalkers automatically receive “Black Sleeves”, which they can exchange for various valuable items from the Specialist, which can be found in the Neighborhoods of Lubech (near the White Village), Airport (near the money changer), Radius village and on the Radio Tower.

Note! If you do not pass the dungeon from the beginning (for example, you joined the group already on Paukan), then the sleeve for the third boss is not awarded.

In addition, players always gain experience and valuable loot for completing the dungeon.



Players holding a “Volcano Keeper’s Head” will find that it is now called “Damaged Volcano Keeper’s Head”. You can also give it to Vanya Hell, or fix it at Mitka that on Radius and take it to the Khan’s Cave to become participants in a special event and, if successful, get additional loot.

If you have failed, you can continue through the dungeon, progress (including successful completion) is reset every day at 7:00 (CET for EU and EST for US).

If you join a group that has already passed one or two stages, you will receive a reward only for the stages you completed, while in order to receive a reward for complete completion you still need to go through all the stages. Progress is considered the leader of the group.

If you leave the group - you teleport to the entrance to the dungeon.

Added 3 battle modes to the game, which will take place in the corresponding arena: Every man for himself, Team battle and Capture the flag

While playing in the arena, your items will not lose durability. Only consumables are spent (cartridges, injectors, artifacts, etc.)

By participating in rating battles and performing "productive" actions in them, you can earn rating points. Rating battles only take place in one type of arena at a time. The rest of the arenas are open for free PvP and training. Every three days, the "rating" arena status is transferred to another type of competition.

Until now, the history of the emergence of the Zone and the events that occur in it have been difficult to put together into a coherent picture of the world. We are beginning to consistently correct this omission. So, in this update you will find Lubech, completely redesigned from the point of view of plotting the plot. We hope that what is happening in it and in its surroundings will now become clearer. In this regard, almost all tasks in Lyubech were redone: some of the quest lines were removed from the game, some were reworked, and a number of completely new stories were added. However, one should not think that the history of the Zone will be revealed completely in Lyubech - this is only the tip of the plot iceberg. As a result, the truth may turn out to be completely different from what it seems at first glance.

Completely redesigned most of the tasks in Lubech. In particular, the main storylines appeared about the creation of the world and the zone, which will be continued in the future. To start, talk to Kolya Acid, at the train station.
Players who did not pass the new “Station” can fill the gap in the story missions by talking with Kolya Acid. He (and also Greek) start a new plot. For “old” players, the plot unfolds in a lightweight form, without the need, for example, to undergo training.

Kolya Baranka no longer rides to Lubech

Added quests for members of the groups that own the fortifications "GOK_Zapad", "Novikovo" and "Khvorostovka", as well as for their allies. As a reward for most of them, you can get Vanya Hell's “trade points”. At the fortifications “GOK-West” and “Khvorostovka”, the players performing these tasks also participate in the general competition. Upon completion, the three most active stalkers will receive an additional reward. After the end of the competition, access to the tasks will be limited for 8 hours (until the start of the next stage).

An NPC named "The Harvester" is lost in the Zone. His place was taken by “Chemist”. With the help of Vanya Hell's men, he completely remodeled the former Harvester's lair. We strongly advise you to keep silence about this.

The zone hides a lot from the eyes. You can make sure of this by going through a new quest chain. The only thing that is reliably known about it is that it is associated with aircraft.
