This update contains a new questing system. It's current usage is very bare bone, but that will be expanded on the next few weeks with ways to get unique items and progress your settlement. The aim of this system is to provide an optional way to get some unique items and settlers.

This update includes reworked Evil's Protector fight, a bunch of improvements and fixes to netcode, as well as a few other changes and additions.

The netcode optimizations are almost at the place I want it to be. If you play through the game now compared to before, you'll see much fewer cases of confusion about getting hit and not hitting enemies. This did have some compromises, specifically anti-cheat, which is why it's mostly under a new server setting, that allows the client to have much more control over stuff that directly impacts itself.

See the full changelog below.

Changelog
Additions:
Added jumping ball mount, sometimes sold from traveling merchant.
Added small amount of camera shake to various events. Can be disabled in graphics settings.

Changes/misc:
Reworked Evil's Protector fight.

This weeks update brings some major improvements to projectile netcode, reworked Void Wizard fight, updated and optimized post processing that will allow for more graphics features later on.

Ghost has been hard at work with the new dungeon and Void Wizard visuals, and we'll also be looking to rework/refine the other 2 original boss fights in the game as well.

The new projectile netcode gives the client more power over if their projectiles hit or not. This also has a downside, since it will allow potential cheaters to control projectiles, but since that's not a concern currently, this feature is enabled by default. It can be disabled by editing the server config file when hosting a dedicated server.
This new feature also helps with desync in singleplayer games, since it's essentially just a locally hosted server.

See the full changelog below.

Changelog
Additions:
Added bird critters.
Added server setting to allow clients to handle their own projectile hits (default on). This decreases projectile desync by a lot, but also allow potential "cheaters" to control projectiles.

Changes/misc:
Reworked Void Wizard fight, now with 2 phases and animations.
Void Wizard will always drop either travel scrolls or recall scrolls.
Reworked post processing completely, optimizing and adding new functionality.
Increased grass and crop weave a small amount.
Critters will now leave the map if it's running and at the edge.
Increased the critter spawn rate.

And some other minor changes and fixes.
You might have to restart Steam to get the update.
