It will be a huge update, as most of the classes will be completed by then, which means interactive lessons will be available with beautiful images and new gameplay options! More dialogues will be added to expand the game for hours of gameplay, and more stories will be unlocked and available to try.
In the next update you can expect to find the following:

Bug fixing
Fixed an issue which caused the Human Female character to revert to the older model in some cases
Gameplay changes
New hidden stat added: Sexual Need. This will only affect the game if vanilla mode is OFF. Every day your sexual need will increase by 5 points. More points mean more likely will become to get distracted during classes, thus hampering your chances to increase your stats. You can decrease your sexual need by having sex or masturbating in your quarters. Vanilla mode disables the sexual need. You can also set this off in the Settings screen.
Sexual Need OFF and ON option has been included in the Settings Screen. Enabling Vanilla mode automatically sets Sexual Need to OFF.
Sex interactions with Lenara are now also available to male characters
Sex interactions with Jared are now available for Human and Nixanti Female characters
You can now invite Aberoin to the Swimming Pool
A new option to masturbate (along with new images depicting it) is available if vanilla mode is OFF in your quarters for female characters.
Various
New set of options are available when choosing to stay inside your own quarters: - Have sex with your assistant (this will lower their standing towards you and decrease your sexual need to 0) - Masturbate (this will decrease your sexual need by 30 points) - Study (this will increase your standing with your chosen assistant) Please note that sexual options are only available when vanilla mode if OFF
Swimming pool image has been replaced
New different random images have been introduced when going to the swimming pool with a squadmate
New Codex Entries: Personnel - Larissa Pitt - Sanuri Sulijan
Today I'm glad to introduce you our newest addition to Yomi Alliance cast, actor Bob Baker!
Bob stumbled into professional voiceovers about 5 years ago after semi-retiring from the business world.
In that short time he has had the pleasure and opportunity to do voice work for some great companies- Lamborghini, Ford, Chevy, Adidas, Fox Sports, Scheels, Alumacraft Boats, Caterpillar and many more.
The most attentive among you will recognize his voice as the "Yomi Alliance intro" guy from this video:
He has also had the opportunity to narrate two TV shows one featuring the famous football player Brett Favre. A United States Army Airborne Ranger veteran for four years, he never liked jumping from the planes though!
Married with 6 kids who all love videogames and who play as his greatest consultants when it comes to playing a role in game.
You can hear a sample of what's coming in with Mivak being played by Bob!
Join me in welcoming Bob into our family! I wish you'll enjoy his Mivak in the game!
An update for Yomi Alliance is available for download!
Bug fixing
Fixed an issue which prevented psychology and persuade classes to be undertaken correctly. You can now play them by choosing the "Social Training", provided you're playing the proper career path.
Fixed a rare crashing issue which occurred when loading a game saved before character generation was completed.
Visiting squadmates now grants the correct amount of Relationship points based on difficulty level
Gameplay changes
An animated character selection has been introduced early in the game. You can read informations about the character, its species and choose his gender as well from that screen. PLEASE NOTE: the animated character selection will only appear if you enable "Character Animations" from the Settings screen. Since this is resource-demanding we recommend you to turn them on only if you meet the recommended settings.
Difficulty level now affects the number of points you receive with each training. "Ensign" will grant you +3 skill points, "Lieutenant" will grant you +2 skill points and "Captain" will grant you +1 point. Default difficulty when starting a new game is set to "Captain".
Difficulty level also affects medical classes' outcome. On "Captain" setting you will need to rapidly solve the situation unless you want Dr. Li to scold you "Ensign" and "Lieutenant" difficulties will just end the class as usual.
A new setting "Console Interaction" is available in the Preferences screen. You can set it on "Simulation" to deal with the animated console or to "Visual Novel" to have a list of choices brought to you in a clickable menu, with the animated console on the back. You can set the difficulty of the game at any time, except during the simulation, when the choice you made will be brought until its end.
You can now visit Mivak in his quarters and spend some time with him
Story
New dialogues are available in the aftermath of "Mission: Alpha" (the one with the Kressari attack) in the first day of week 7. You can choose multiple paths which unlock different stories.
New conversation with Dr. Li added on Wednesday, Week 7
New conversation with Dr. Li added on Friday, Week 8
New conversation with Sulijan available after "The Prophet" events by choosing to talk to her
Classes
Medical Classes have been added. There are 20 different, randomly chosen, ailments your simulated patients might face. From Acceplexia Fever to Carmus Flu and Hydroga Aspisis. Of course those are ailments that are unknown to modern human medicine, so you'll have to learn how to recognize them and how to deal with them.
Various
Added a new option in the Settings Menu: "Character Animations". This will enable some animations in the game. Turning this off (predefined) has no effect on the gameplay. Since this feature is resource-demanding we recommend you to turn them on only if you meet the recommended settings. If you experience any kind of stuttering while playing animations we recommend you turn this to OFF.
A new setting, called "Console Interaction", is available in the Settings Menu. "Simulation Mode" will show animated consoles to interact with thoughout the game, while "Visual Novel" setting will only show a list of choices brought to you in a clickable menu, with the animated console on the back.
Added the following topics to the Codex: - Known Diseases (Sciences Tab) - Humans - Nixanti - Briallen - Fuminoid
Lt. Mkrell's images were replaced by higher definition ones
Human Female character template has been completely replaced by a new version with loose hair (naked, casual wear, bathsuit) and cropped hair (uniform, underwear, bodysuit)
We're on the process to rewrite parts of the script in proper English thanks to the help of our amazing proofreader Esther Leigh. The script is also being updated to be better understandable and deep than it was on previous updates. Give it a read and let us know what you think about it! We're sure you'll be amazed by Esther's job! The fixing is so good and changes a lot of lines.
I recommend you to start over a new game to enjoy the improved dialogues.
The script is updated through 90% of the game now. Sorry for a few lines which aren't updated yet.
Known Issues Some systems might experience a memory overload when using the animated character selection screen. This issue is very uncommon and we're investigating the cause of it. Thank you for your understanding.
In a few hours release 0.13 will be available for you to enjoy, with many changes in both gameplay, new events and classes, and a few fancy additions to the game's graphics as well.
One of the new features involves the Human Female Character Model. While she was quite cute I wasn't completely satisfied by her overall look, and I made some improvements to her character model. You can see the difference in the image below.
The basic model has been enriched with details, while her hair was completely changed to a cropped version while in uniform, bodysuit or underwear. In more "relaxed" occasions she will release her hair and show shoulder-long brown hair. The final look is way better than it was before.
We're also adding animations to the characters in certain situations to further increase immersion.
Oh, did I mention some of our voice actors (including Star Trek Voyager star Manu Intiraymi) are starting to record their lines? Expect some characters to feel more "alive" soon!
Thank you for supporting the game! Stay tuned, 0.0.13 is coming real soon!
The upcoming release 0.0.13 is being polished and tested for being released next week with a lot of new features!
As I'm always trying to improve the game's experience, I want to share with you one of the new features of the game, i.e. the Animated Character Selection screen. It's a way to have a look at your character's physical aspect and to learn more about its features.
You can also access a Codex section with lore information about the character's species, what they're after in Yomi Alliance and what is their recent history.
I hope you'll enjoy this feature. It needs a bit of polishing here and there but it will be perfect by the time of release ;)
One of the best features of Yomi Alliance is the ability to play different missions for each different career choice. And by career I don't mean just "Medical" vs "Command", but all the sub-choices you make when starting a new game.
After the mission which introduces you to the "Prophet" character, Captain Marston will instruct you to go in the Command Center and assign you a task. This task will be different for each career, and will unlock new parts of the story. If you play the game with a new character you can explore these different paths.
Are you curious about what you can expect from the first of many different mission paths? Let's dig them in detail!
Starship Commander As a future Starship Commander it's up to you to understand the feeling of your companions. Captain Marston wants you to interview every Recruit in the Academy and file a full report about their thoughts about the attack, their fears, their doubts, their opinions.
Diplomatic Representative As a future Diplomatic Representative it's up to you to establish relationships with other cultures. Captain Marston wants you to contact the Nixanti Council and ask them about this Prophet of Alarei. Reaching the Council won't be easy, as they don't usually grant private audiences. Being a Nixanti could help you somehow...
Manager As a future Manager it's up to you to manage Alliance resources with care. Many valuable equipment was stolen or destroyed in the attack. The Captain wants you to assess the status of weapons and equipment inventory and make arrangements with our suppliers to restore them. If your character has a "Merchant" upbringing he will meet familiar faces during the mission as well.
Navigator As a future Navigator you need to know your way around star maps. The Captain wants you to track the Prophet's ship's flight path throughout Alliance space. As his ship was using some kind of cloaking device that won't be easy though.
Hot-Shot Pilot As a future Hot-Shot Pilot you will become an expert of shuttle fighters. The Captain wants you to prepare a flotilla of defensive shuttles and equip them as you see fit. Next time the Prophet or any of his friends show around, Marston wants every available ship to be ready for them.
Mechanic A lot of equipment is faulty since the attack, communications and food replicators most of all. As a future Mechanic the Captain wants you to lead the repair crews.
Specialist As a future Specialist the Captain wants you to program the computer for a set of safety precautions that will automatically activate in case of a new attack.
Starship Designer You're going to become a Starship Designer. The Captain wants your help to design a new kind of reconnaissance drone to help security spot hostiles inside academy grounds in case of future attacks.
Systems Specialist As a future Systems Specialist the Captain wants you to increase sensor efficiency for the next time the Prophet or any of his friends shows around.
Basic Operator As a Basic Operator the Captain wants you to check if repairs at comm systems, replicators and internal sensors have been completed. He also wants you to perform a full scan of each system and report any glitch to Engineering.
Operations Manager As Operations Manager in training the Captain wants you to coordinate repair teams, switching personnel, equipment and priorities for the repairs.
Security Officer As a Security Officer the Captain wants you to patrol the damaged areas of the Academy. You received reports of armed civilians trying to loot military equipment from there. Your orders are either to arrest them or scare them off without using deadly force.
Investigator Security captured one of the assailants. She was left for dead by the Prophet's assault team. As an Investigator the Captain wants you to lead the interrogation of the prisoner. Learn what you can from her by using any means necessary.
Tactical Officer As a Tactical Officer you're an expert about space tactics and maneuvers. For that reason the Captain wants you to analyze the flight pattern of the Prophet's ship and learn how it defied Earth's unmanned planetary defenses.
Interspecies Relationship Expert As an Interspecies Relationship Expert the Captain wants you to study the current relationships between the Kressari, the Nixanti, the Awar and the Karis. He was surprised they were working together during the attack and he wants to know what changed between their relationship.
Counselor As a Counselor The Captain wants you to bring psychological support to the people injured in the attack. Many of them lost someone important during the fight. The Captain wants you to help them deal with the loss. Some of them might blame you for some reason (not spoilering anything), so that task might be more difficult than it should.
Alien Specialist As an Alien Specialist the Captain wants you to solve a little mystery, especially if you're familiar with Kressari physiology. Security found a body of a Kressari in the battlefield. It was hit by a direct blast of laser energy and yet there are no burns over it. Captain Marston wants you to conduct a full analysis of the body and file a full report.
Emergency Medic As an Emergency Medic the Captain needs you to go to the Infirmary and help Dr. Li treat those who were injured during the attack.
General Practitioner As a General Practitioner you are required to perform medical exams on the people who were dismissed from the Infirmary and assess whether they're fit for duty or not.
Scientist As a Scientist you will need to prove a theory right or wrong. Sensors detected thorium particles on the Prophet's ship before it disappeared from sensors. The Captain needs you to gather data about nearby star systems or spatial phenomena that could've caused the thorium's accumulation.
Science Officer As a Science Officer you will need to be ready to unravel every scientific mystery you might encounter. That technology the Prophet uses is indeed a mystery. The Captain wants you to analyze the data you've got on it and file a full report.
Social Surveyor As a Social Surveyor, the Captain wants you to tell him how Nixanti religion spread amongst Kressari, Awar and Karis people. Do they have anything in common? Do they share the same beliefs?
Planetary Surveyor As a Planetary Surveyor the Captain wants you to assess any damage the alien weapons could've made to the planet. He wants you to make sure there are no radiation leaks, surface damage or anything else that would cause any harm to Earth's people.
During those missions you will meet new and old characters, familiarize with console commands, unravel mysteries and discover more about the lore of Yomi universe. Each mission will be full of dialogues, choices and a score will be given to you. You can unlock achievements with that score and that will also influence your final evaluation before you are being transferred to a starship for the second part of the game.
Enjoy Yomi Alliance, enjoy the consequences of your decisions!
I have been very busy over the last few weeks to develop the brand new medical simulation for the game. Some of you had a glimpse of it while examining Serena during the first lesson which also introduced Dr. Li, and now you'll get the chance to play a couple more scenarios.
At first I wanted to develop a simple situation: a patient, you, the teacher. While I moved deeper into it though I realized that things could've been more fun if I added some kind of unpredictability.
Medical Classes
Dr. Li will introduce a few classes where you will be randomly brought to scan 8 different patients: - Aberoin, your teammate who kindly volounteered for the simulation - Hergarr, a 21 years old Awar Female - Syun-Ho, a 20 years old Karis Female - Kormash, a 29 years old Kressari Male - R18-20, a 27 years old Fuminoid Male - Jowarr, a 39 years old Zalkan Male - Meshal, a 25 years old Zurian Female - Say-Gan, a 22 years old Karis Female
There are 20 different, randomly chosen, ailments your simulated patients might face. From Acceplexia Fever to Carmus Flu and Hydroga Aspisis. Of course those are ailments that are unknown to modern human medicine, so you'll have to learn how to recognize them and how to deal with them.
Codex Informations are available. They indicate the symptoms of each ailment and its cure, if any. You might need to administer medicines or antidotes, or even wake up a patient from a (simulated) coma.
This will teach medical-career players on how to deal with the medical scanner, which is also animated like many other consoles throughout the game.
Wait, I don't want to use the animated console! It's too difficult and annoying!
Worry not! A new setting, called "Console Interaction", is available in the Preferences screen. You can set it on "Simulation" to deal with the animated console or to "Visual Novel" to have a list of choices brought to you in a clickable menu, with the animated console on the back.
You can set the difficulty of the game at any time, except during the simulation, when the choice you made will be brought until its end.
It's too difficult! Again, worry not! The difficulty settings have been renamed to "Ensign" being the easiest one, "Lieutenant" being a middle-level and "Captain" being the harder.
If you play on "Captain", for example, Dr. Li will grant you bonus or malus points based on the choices you made during the medical examination. The more useless choices you make the worst his judgement will be. However, some of you might not want to deal with this and prefer a smoother gameplay. By choosing "Ensign" or "Lieutenant" difficulty level you will just end the simulation like a normal in-game event without bad consequences. You can set the difficulty of the game at any time.
Difficulty will also influence the chance your energy level will affect your learning ability. If you're too tired there will be a chance you fail to learn anything. The chance will be way lower on "Ensign" difficulty than it will be on "Captain".
I recommend to play the game on "Captain" difficulty if you want a real challenge, but feel free to play it on either setting if you want a moderate challenge or a plain Visual Novel experience.
It was difficult to develop this, but I can't wait for you to play it and give me many feedback about it as well! You will need different playthroughs if you want to explore every possible scenario, as some illnesses will only affect Fuminoids, Kressari, Humans and it will be challenging enough to figure out what a patient's issue is!
Stay with me for more informations about the game's development and new exciting announcements of voice-actors as well!
Today I have a big announcement for you, fellow space officers, as Hollywood Actor, Writer and Producer Manu Intiraymi (Star Trek Voyager, One Tree Hill) joins the cast of Yomi Alliance!
Since his time playing the former Borg drone Icheb during the last two seasons of Star Trek: Voyager, Manu Intiraymi has stayed active with acting roles, but in the last few years he has also turned to producing.
His last three projects as an actor/producer “Benjamin Troubles”, “5th Passenger”, and “Hell On The Border” have been international hits, and his newest project https://thecircuitfilm.com for which he is currently seeking finishing financing will prove to be his biggest film to date and his directorial debut.
Now we're proud to announce that Manu will join the cast of Yomi Alliance to play the role of Vessel Lieutenant Mkrell, the harsh but handsome Nixanti trainer who's already becoming a fan-favourite character!
Join us in greeting Manu into our family!
Thank you for your support for this project, you're helping us making this game truly great!
