Food Truck Simulator - DRAGO entertainment

If you've ever watched Ty Pennington turn houses into works of art on "Extreme Makeover" with bated breath, you'll love this part of our gameplay.

As you know, Food Truck Simulator lets you use a Customization tab to retrofit your food truck according to your wishes.
At first, you'll begin by picking one of the three paint jobs available from the start to paint your restaurant-on-wheels. These will serve as the basis for your future decorative deeds.

Next, we're moving to the layouts, which will give your truck that characteristic look and show a little bit of yourself in the design as well.

Just like with the paint jobs, the number of initial layouts is limited, but that does not mean that it is the extent of your artistic expression. Layouts, just like paints and wheel jobs and other decorative elements, can be found as collectibles strewn around the map. Gathering them will expand your repertoire of customizing your vehicle to your precise needs.

You will also be able to change the mirrors, darken glass or add an additional roof element which will make your food truck stand out that much more.

But that's not all, because as we've mentioned at the beginning, you will also be able to customize your garage's interior. We know that there's nothing cozier than a cozy home. You will be able to change your office from the inside and the outside, your bedroom, your mezzanine, and the entirety of the interior in general.

You'll unlock more and more options during gameplay, so your interior decoration skills will surely come in handy!

Our lovely Clara!

She's the person without who you'd likely not even start the business. An invaluable source of insight on every level.

It's thanks to her that you'll learn the secrets of running your enterprise-on-wheels. From arranging your kitchen, perfectly ordering new products, learning how to fire off your grill, to preparing delicious dishes and remembering that it's high time to rest sometimes.

She's almost like a mom, making sure you're taken care of and that nothing bad happens to you, ever.
You can always count on her, even in the most dire of circumstances. And if you're quick on picking up your delivery, she might just give you a discount.

Nurture this relationship, because Clara will always come in handy!

This guy really doesn't need any additional introductions.

He's the ideal example of someone who did NOT age like fine wine. It's easy to say that almost everyone met a guy like Dennis sometime in their lives and no doubt won't forget the whole ordeal.

Dennis did some growing up since you've last met him in Gas Station Simulator, but he did not change one bit.

Now, he'll be your main rival in conquering the city's fast-food empire.
Will you be able to get back at him after all these years? No doubt most of you dream precisely of that chance!

There is only one king of the Italian district.

This son of Sicilian immigrants gives the citizens of Westside Port a taste of his homeland cuisine and never fails to impress.

Likewise, he won't fail to impress you. He's the first one (right after Clara, that is) to extend a helping hand when you'll it most.

Remember him when though times come to your food truck enterprise.

This guy is busy with his job 24/7.

He loves it... and the 'it' is being in a gas station all day.

Yes, yes, you've read that right. Food Truck Simulator also has its own gas stations. Aside from allowing you to refuel, Joe will also help you earn a few bucks on the side.

The man appreciates every pair of extra hands, so make sure to map the spots where you'll be able to find him.

The mystery man from the Asian district.

He knew your father very well, but was content to keeping in the shadows. Supposedly he has access to wondrous ingredients, yet the question remains whether he'll fancy sharing them with you.

That relationship might be very interesting. Maybe it'll play out like in Karate Kid?
You - Daniel-san. Him - Mr. Miyagi. And a whole bunch of planks to shatter?

How do you feel about that?
Soon you'll be able to see for yourself!

Thanks to all the feedback we received about the demo we decided to update it before the game’s release. We payed a lot of attention to the performance some of you mentioned and made massive improvements here. And a lot more:

Driving
We improved the driving experience with the food truck and put some more work into the handling of the vehicle.

Cooking
Lots of smaller tweaks and a reworked cutting mechanics should make it more enjoyable.

Navigation
The compass is no more. We got rid of it and added a mini-map instead. While at it, we made multiple improvements to the main map, so navigating the city should be easier now.

City
The city has been expanded even further, we added more locations, points of interest, signs etc. Some of them are not usable in the demo, but foreshadow what is to come in the full version that’s around the corner.

Appearance
The food truck’s appearance plays a bigger role now when it comes to attracting customers and how satisfied they are. To help you keep your food truck in shape and clean we expanded the cleaning mechanics.

Upgrades
We added some more upgrades to the food truck and also changed some of the customisations accessible via the customization/upgrade tabs in the UI.

And More
There is more for you to discover and also quite some foreshadowing showing new elements and features that you can expect to see fully working in the full version of the game.

So, get the update and take your food truck for a new spin! You'll have to - we made so many changes, that we are afraid your old save might not work anymore.

Welcome back to the second part of DevLog about game locations.

We hope you liked the previous locations and are ready for more.
So now you can sit back, relax and check out the rest of our delicious spots.

MARINA
A breath of fresh air and... grilled fish.

I'm sure you know this first hand. Each time you show up in any seaside place, that smell will stay with you for the rest of your stay.

Happily, it doesn't work like that here.

At the Marina Selling Point, you'll be able to serve pizza and fish, but luckily only as sushi.

The cool sea breeze will help you work over the burning-hot pizza oven. The clients are pretty chill too. Thankfully not asking if the order's ready every 2 minutes.

SHIPYARD
Working at a shipyard's no easy feat. It's hard work and buckets of sweat that translate into a mean hunger, so... there's no better place for you and your truck than right here.

It's here that you'll serve a mountain-load of fries along with some delicious Italian pizza.
You'll learn more and more recipes, so be careful and precise when assembling your orders.
Will that mean better tips for your efforts? Don't overthink it, pull your sleeves up and get to work.

ASIAN DISTRICT
Can you break through in the Asian District like Bruce Lee in "Enter the Dragon"?

This spot is an ideal location to see whether you are a real sushi master. See how well you can put together those futomaki rolls.

Sushi History Fact - The inventor of modern sushi is believed to be Hanaya Yohei, who invented nigiri-zushi, a type of sushi most known today, in which seafood is placed on hand-pressed vinegared rice, around 1824 in the Edo period (1603–1867). It was the fast food of the chōnin class in the Edo period.

In addition, the Asian District also allows you to serve the good ol' Belgian treat - fries.

BEACH
The perfect place for spending leisure time.

It's here that you'll be able to charm hungry surfers, tourists, friends and italian town amateurs with you delightful recipes.

Make sure to bring enough pizza dough, sushi rice and all the other ingredients though!
In places such as these the eating ends just moments before the sundown.

So, ready to conquer the city?

Get in your restaurant-on-wheels and show them what'chu got!

Based on the feedback we received related to the demo of Food Truck Simulator, we made various improvements to its demo and will release an updated demo on 27.07.2022.

We tackled some performance related areas, expanded the city a bit and filled it with more things to see and added lots of foreshadowing of features that will be available in the full game and the Playtest before that.

We also expanded the cleaning mechanics, improved the driving model of the food truck and made some changes to the cooking, like revamping the cutting mechanics.

We’ll provide a full list of changes on July, 27th as there is quite more coming we are still in the process of tweaking. We might even replace the compass with a better means of navigating the city as suggested by the community.

As we all know, hungry people can be found anywhere.
We just never know how hungry they might be, or what they might fancy at that particular time.

Our in-game locations function in a similar manner, but thankfully you'll have a chance to prepare. Eventually you'll master figuring out where to find people looking for the juiciest burger, a proper Italian pizza, a delicious Belgian potato treat or Japanese rolled rice.

SERENITY PARK
You'll begin your adventure in Serenity Park. It's here that you'll take your first steps on your culinary journey, following in the path of your father, serving real beef treats.

Always remember what your clients demand! Time, doneness and order precision are key.
The calm atmosphere of the appropriately-named Serenity Park will ease you into your new grand adventure.

NIGHT CLUBS
It's said that those who do not try cooking for a whole bunch of others do not know what true work really means. Doubly so if it's in the middle of the night.

The next selling point on your journey - the Night Clubs - will teach you how to prepare true potato delicacies - fries.

Fries History Fact time - fries were apparently invented in the XVIII century in a Belgian town named Dinant during a cold winter. The rivers of the nearby river were frozen over, and without fish people instead began peeling potatoes into small boat-shapes while frying them to try and replace the fish.

Thankfully, fries are no longer fish replacements and have evolved into something that truly pleases the taste buds. Just like with the burger, time, doneness and ingredients are all key.

BUSINESS PARK
There's no relaxing in the Business Park, and thus "time is money" takes on a whole different meaning.

Regularly schedule lunch breaks guarantee a rush hour of hungry clients and their work stress hardly makes things better.

The different tastes here are far, far wilder than before, and thus it is here you will learn the secrets of sushi-making.

ITALIAN DISTRICT

Buongiorno a tutti!

Welcome to our beautiful, little piece of Italy.
Here, live follows its own rhythm. Here, you can slow down and catch your breath - but don't stop too long.

Flour, yeast, water, salt and olive oil - those are the basics of a successful dough. After that, it's all up to you.

Let your Italian spirit take hold of you, and show your clients what you're really made of. Aside from pizza, the Italian District will also gladly share in your expertise of expertly-cooked burgers.

We're coming back to you with a freshly-baked portion of Food Truck Simulator devlogs.

In the following weeks we'll introduce you step by step to various elements of our game, so that you will be able to see how the cookie crumbles when it comes to our game.

Cooking is one of the thermal processes which allows you to draw out the best flavour of vegetables, fruits, meats or fish. When handled by a good cook, the aforementioned become marvels of gastronomical arts.

Even a simple ham, vegetable and sauce sandwich can elevate you into gourmet heavens. Just remember to prepare it with passion and love.

In our restaurant-on-wheels you'll get the chance to indulge in your culinary passions!
First, we'll give you a little test to see how well can you handle the said ham and veggie sandwich.

The devil's always in the details, so you'll have to be attentive when preparing the order.
A hungry client is, obviously, an angry client. A hungry client who got the wrong order... well, you can guess for yourselves.

Each order consists of multiple steps. Such as preparing the actual meal, assembling the order and finally handing it out.

Just keep in mind. Best-made food is stress-free food, alright?

Each perfect order will net you a suitable prestige reward, too.

No sense in delaying, right? Get in the truck and test yourself as a kitchen chef!

If you still haven't had the chance, try yourself by playing the Food Truck Simulator demo.

With Food Truck Simulator's release on September 14th we are hard at work to finish the game and it comes along very nicely. We listened to your feedback from the demo and are adding lots of improvements to existing features and of cause adding lots of new ones along side new content.

We will finish new areas of the city soon-ish and figured that's a perfect opportunity to use Steam's Play Test feature to give you an opportunity to check these out and give us more feedback before the game's release.

You can sign up to join the Playtest now and the moment we have a build of the game that we feel is satisfying, we'll launch the Playtest and let those who signed up have a go at it.
While we don't have an exact date for that yet, expect the playtest to take place no later than August.
