🚨 Attention, all sky-high Gas Jockeys 🚨 Airstrip DLC has just landed and is ready to take off at a 25% discount! That's right, folks - now you can conquer the skies without hurting your wallet.
We’re back with another riveting devlog, and today we have something special for you. This time, we decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of the usual monologue on my part, we've invited our designer, Gabriel, to talk briefly, and he'll tell you a bit about Sean - one of the most mysterious and intriguing characters ever to appear in Gas Station Simulator.
So who is Sean? Great question. You see, Sean is the guy everyone says can turn a pile of rust into a working car, and he could probably fix your life, too, if you let him (or destroy it just as quickly, knowing his problems with running a business). Born in the back seat of a 1972 Mustang, Sean's story is as colorful as the cars he restores. During the interview, you'll find out exactly what role Sean plays in our addition and what's in store for you about him.
But enough of my ranting; let's get to the meat and potatoes! Sit back and listen a bit about this somewhat sketchy but incredibly talented mechanic who has set up a junkyard in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rusty cars that, with a little elbow grease, will help bring more than one classic back to life.
P.S Today sees the release of our friends at 2Medya with their new title Rent A Car Simulator 24, and we've created a bundle with them on this occasion. If you're looking for a new title from a similar shelf, this bundle might be perfect for you.
Welcome back to another look into our development. However, before we start, I’d really like to thank you for the amount of comments you guys left under our recent announcement. I really appreciate your honest feedback regarding the Gas Station Simulator state. I wanted to assure you that most of the stuff you’ve shared with us already has found its way to the production team. As soon as I have some more information, I’ll gladly share it with ya all! Now, let’s get down to business, shall we? 👇
Yeap, you read that right! We’re working hard to bring you some fresh, totally free content that will brighten up your gas station. While we do not have the precise release date in mind as of now, there is one thing that we’re more than sure about – it won’t affect our work on delivering Car Junkyard DLC on time along with the long-awaited fixes that you guys have requested a while ago. As soon as we’re happy with the quality of the product, we’ll release this free DLC. Now, what is this DLC gonna be about?
The drive-in cinema is more than just an entertainment venue; it's a new business venture that brings additional revenue streams. Acquire additional space and set up a drive-in theater complete with a modern projector and a giant screen. Attract both loyal and new customers by screening iconic movies. Validate tickets, manage sneaky customers trying to get in for free, and invest in further upgrades like a popcorn machine to provide a complete movie-going experience. Grow your reputation in order to attract more customers and expand your one-of-a-kind clientele. All of this coming soon for free!

And that's it for today! So, I'm curious to see your feedback regarding the release date but most importantly spanking new updates coming to your station. We're hard at work to bring you some of the most requested features, and that wouldn't be possible without you, folks! I promise it’ll be worth the wait. Until the next devlog!
I’m excited to share the latest updates about our upcoming Gas Station Simulator – Car Junkyard DLC, with a focus on one of the most thrilling features: car customization. I honestly believe that it's gonna be one of the most exciting mechanics in the game, so let’s not waste any more time, and dive right into it, shall we? 🔥
Customization Overview 🎨
Once you've cleaned the desired parts in the Chemical Bath and given the wreck body a thorough scrub with the Grinder, you're ready to embark on the customization journey. Customizing your cars not only adds a personal touch but also influences the car’s overall evaluation, impacting its value and appeal.
Customization is divided into two distinct phases: Design and Assembly. Each phase offers unique opportunities to enhance and personalize your vehicles.
Design 🤔
Every customization begins at the Platform Panel. This interactable station becomes accessible once the wreck body is cleaned. The Interface provides a comprehensive overview of your car. Here, you can see the car's name, dynamic statistics, current price, and tier, all of which update as you add or change parts. The interface includes slots for each car part, clearly marking crucial parts and distinguishing already installed components.
You’ll also see any active contracts, helping you ensure that the parts you select meet specific requirements. For a streamlined experience, there's even a button to automatically add all available parts that match your chosen contract’s requirements. How cool is that? 👀
Express your creativity by selecting from various paint types (metallic, matte, etc.) and painting styles (plain, stripes, etc.). You can apply different colors to different car parts for a truly customized look. When it comes to decals, pick your favorite designs, adjust their position, rotation, and scale, and add them to your car. You can remove decals individually if you change your mind. We wouldn’t call it a customization without those options, right?
Once you're satisfied with your design, you can save the configuration, reset to the cleaned wreck state, or proceed to the Assembly phase.
Assembly ⚒️
In assembly mode, you will use a customisation gun, similar to a spanner. Activate inspection mode with the SHIFT button to see all the interactive parts of the car. Hovering the cursor over these parts highlights them, making it easier to see what you are working on.
To assemble a part, simply left-click while using the customisation gun and the part will be placed in its place. The car colour and decals are then applied, adding the finishing touches.

Unfortunately, as the saying goes “All things must come to an end”. In the end I hope you’ve enjoyed our little sneak peek into the whole customization thingy. I’m curious to see your comments regarding this feature. Your feedback has always been invaluable for us, which is something that we’re so grateful for. I cannot wait to showcase you even more stuff that our production team has been cooking off recently, but for now until the next devlog, fellow gas jockeys! 👋
Welcome to another Gas Station Simulator - Car Junkyard DLC development sneak peek. Today, I’m excited to share some more information about car parts ⚙️ (assembling and disassembling them, how you can make some profit, etc.) as well as the Chemical Bath which is gonna be another spanking new structure that will be introduced with the DLC. Ready to jump in? 🔥
Chemical Bath ⚗️
The Chemical Bath is a brand-new structure crucial for the proper functioning of your junkyard. Designed to wash car parts and prepare them for assembly onto freshly prepared wrecks, it's an essential feature that will allow you to restore some rusty car parts that you find while progressing through the game.
Chemical Bath Management 📦
Chemicals are vital for efficient cleaning. The more concentration, the more efficient the cleaning process is. As you’ve probably guessed, as soon as the concentration drops to 0%, the cleaning process stops. In order to restart the process, you need to first restore the concentration to 100%. Have a quick look at how it looks currently in the game.
Car Parts Overview ⚙️
Car parts play a crucial role in the Car Junkyard DLC. They are obtained from wrecks delivered to the junkyard, and they can used to build a brand-new vehicle. Car Parts can be separated into two categories 👇
Dedicated Parts: Includes front and rear bumpers, left and right doors, and the hood. These are essential for car customization and they only fit particular car models.
Universal Parts: Includes rims, spoilers, exhausts, mirrors, engines, and turbos. These parts can be used across different car models.
Each car part has its own tag indicating which particular requirement (performance or design) it will affect. As you’ve probably already guessed, parts with a performance tag will impact stats such as acceleration, top speed, handling, etc. On the other hand, the ones with a design tag will only impact the car's visuals.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, gas jockeys 😥So, before we finish, let us know in the comment section down below what you think about the idea of chemical bath and car parts.
