Recent Combat Report Panel

Added a new combat report panel to the main HUD.

Improved how quickly activating a Shield will be on both the client and server.

Added the Empire City Domination event.

In this challenge, Alliances will gain points by controlling Empire Cities.

New Chapter Added: VII - The Fall of the Empire

This includes new chaos quests and extensions to existing quests.

Combat Changes

Units will now use the fully calculated damage (including the attack value) to determine whether to attack with either their Melee or Ranged rather than picking solely on the damage.

Tier bonuses will now always display correctly in the combat breakdown.

Soul Trading

A new option to allow trading of lower value Souls into higher-value ones is now available via the Warlords Conclave.

New Event ‘Warherd Raiders’

A new foe, the Beastmen Centigors join the battle in this new map event and a linked challenge.

Additional rewards have been added to the settings and social panel.

The power gained from training units will now display on the training panel.

Warlord Improvements

We’ve improved the stats and buffs on a number of less popular Warlords.

The warlord march panel will now save player preferred sorting filters.

A single Warlord can be added to the Warband by the Warband leader.

Defeated Troops in a Warband will now return to the Sawbones similar to regular marches (40% PvP and 100% PvE)

Fixes

Fixed a bug where reward counting for alliance challenges did not take into account your alliance join time but the claim button did.

Fixed a bug where the units in the march would not clear when switching the origin of the march.

Fixed a bug where if double rewards (from the hero skill) were triggered from Foe Hunting they were displayed, but not available to use.

Fixed a bug where hero rewards were not given on the client (and required a reload) when a map location was not destroyed.

UPDATE 1.20.24

Update 1.20.24 is now available on ALL platforms! This update consists primarily of bug fixes, which can be read in the release notes below.

  • Fixed missing currency symbol on fortress skin purchase button
  • Fixed emoticon button in chat overlapping/unclickable

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue with the Axe of Sundering stats not increasing properly at Legendary rank.
  • Fixed a bug where it would display on the client as if it took multiple of a single item when using a single speedup.
  • Fixed a bug where the instant finish on upgrades that were already started would display a lower amount because it reduced it by the VIP time when it shouldn't.
  • Fixed an issue where the hero level up screen would get queued up multiple times. Now it just shows the latest level up.
  • Fixed an issue where the information window for Chaotic Rift displayed Armour when it was supposed to be Health.
  • Fixed an issue where the information window for Temples wasn't displaying the Armour bonus per level.
  • Fixed an issue where some values in the building/upgrading window were rounding up instead of displaying two decimal points.
  • Fixed an issue where Brass Greaves of Slaughter stats did not display correctly in the Chaos Keep Champion Equipment Bonuses.
  • Fixed issues with Event foes rank 6 having incorrect health, lowered from 1 million to 750K this affected Runesmiths and Imperial armour.
  • Fixed an issue where Warbands did not display their combat ID.
  • Fixed an issue where if combat that happened while in the Cave UI would not update the numbers of the troops in the UI that could lead to a desync.
  • Fixed an issue where the add maximum button would be clickable when the player had zero units that could be concealed.

DEVELOPMENT BLOG: FEBRUARY 2020

Greetings, Lords of Chaos!

Here is the highly requested development update! We have a lot to share about the next game update, so let’s dive in!

Fortress Skins

Backed by popular demand, Fortress Skins will allow players to change their Fortress’s appearance on the world map! The system will launch with 5 skins (including the current Undivided appearance). Each skin will bring new buffs to your Fortress, these range from Ritual and Healing Speed, to Maximum Stamina and March Capacity.

The following skins will be available initially:


Blood Bastion (Khorne)


Palace of Rapture (Slaanesh)


Shifting Spire (Tzeentch)


Blighted Stronghold (Nurgle)

A new currency will be added for the players to collect and upgrade the power of the new Fortress Skins, this will be Daemonic Fulgurites.

Unit Balance

We’ve been listening to all your feedback about various unit strengths and weaknesses and we’re looking to increase the power of 6 different units in the next patch, but in the patches beyond we’ll continue to improve and balance other units and we’re also planning to improve a number of Warlords to bring them more into the meta.

Infernal and Legion Challenges

Two new types of Challenge will be coming to the game. Infernal Challenges will be extremely tough challenges which run for a short period of time, they focus on PvE targets such as gaining power or training troops and players can earn large numbers of renown units and huge amounts of Warpstone. The leaderboards in Infernal challenges are also game-w-ide, so you’ll be competing not just against players in your own region, but across all the regions of the Old World.

Legion Challenges are a new type of Alliance challenge in which the Alliance works together to gain each tier, rather than individually. Players will also be able to track which alliance members have contributed to the challenge via a new button in the challenge panel.

As well as this all challenges will now be moved to the improved reward tiers that you’ve seen on some challenges.

Healing Improvements

We’ve heard your feedback on healing, in the new update every level of the Sawbones has had it’s healing speed bonus increased and there’s a new type of Speed Up which only works on healing. These will be obtainable in new places and also for Chaos Shards.

Item Sets

We know some of you noticed the new item sets tab appear in the last update, Item Sets with set bonuses for collecting and equipping these items are coming. We’ve got 2 item sets in development, they are very close, so keep an eye out for them very soon.

Advanced Combat Breakdown

We’ve been working on a system for a while to allow players to see each turn of combat broken down into exactly who attacked who in a much more detailed way than the battle reports currently provide. We hope this will allow you more tactics and planning and every battle report will now include a button to see the breakdown, this will be available for both PvP and PvE army attacks.

All this will be coming to the game in around a month's time.

Future Updates

At this week's ‘Ask Us Anything’ we had a number of questions about the future, the immediate patches and priorities for the team after the next update will be; the Empire City Domination challenge rework, Server vs Server and a new special seasonal map event.

Altdorf is Defeated!?! What’s Next

Well this is a good question really, there are many other feeble races across the Old World which stand against the forces of Chaos, however with the Empire all but conquered, the Lord’s of Chaos have their eyes set on an ancient enemy. Here’s a sneak peek at something we’re working on for an entirely new region!
