Medieval Dynasty - SwordsOfTheSouth
Hello everyone,

We have a quick announcement to make. A couple of days ago we revealed our new Dynasty project - Wild West Dynasty. We are continuing our Dynasty legacy, but this time your story begins in the untamed Wild West of the USA. Set in the 1800’s when settlers are coming from all places far and wide, searching for a better life, gold and adventure.

If you like what you see, take a look at Wild West Dynasty’s Steam page and add the game to your Wishlist. And don’t worry, the announcement of Wild West Dynasty will have no impact on the current roadmap of Medieval Dynasty. We have two separate teams working on these projects.

Saddle up and let’s start this new adventure together, partner!

Hello Village Leaders,

Last week passed quickly like an arrow released from a bow. Remember the Medieval Dynasty Community Screenshot Contest? Well, it came to a close. Which means that we need to announce the winners.

First up though, thank you all for your beautiful screenshot!. The number of quality shots that we got exceeded our expectations. And then, we had to declare the winners. It was not an easy job. It was very difficult to choose only three best screenshots, so we decided to award not three but five of your works! It was a tough choice choosing the winners, but we chose those five as they showed brilliantly the atmosphere of Medieval Dynasty, its features, what the game is about, and what other players can expect to see. We felt that these screens hit the nail on the head!

So, without further ado, here are the winners of the Medieval Dynasty Community Screenshot Contest:

Top 5 Winners:

1st Place

2nd Place

3rd Place

4th Place

5th Place

Since we got so many quality shots, we decided to extend the top 10 to top 15 instead. So the creators of the following screens will have their name featured in Medieval Dynasty’s Game Credits and have a chance to appear on PC storefronts.

Screens 6 to 15 in no particular order

Congratulations to all the winners! We will contact you through the email addresses that you sent your screenshots from.

Once again thank you for taking part in this contest. Who knows, maybe we’ll have some more in the future.

Have a good day and until next time,

Your Toplitz Team

Medieval Dynasty - SwordsOfTheSouth
Hello Village Leaders,

With calendar spring now in its second week, it is a bit symbolic that our 3rd major Medieval Dynasty Update arrives at around the same time. This update brings a lot of new features, mechanics, updates, fixes, and heaps more. But let us start with what a lot of you have been waiting for. New building types, professions, and products.

First up, alcohol. In the middle ages, alcohol was a highly valued commodity. Not only did it provide “entertainment” to the people, but it was also treated as a medicine. In some places, access to clean water was not an option. So, what do you do when you are thirsty? Well, have a quick gulp of some beer or wine of course! With that short history lesson out of the way, here is our first new feature - the ability to produce alcohol. You now have access to a new type of field, the Orchards, and you can plant new trees and plants, such as apple trees, cherries, plums, hops, and more. And once the plants come bearing fruit, you will be able to pick them, and with the newly added Brewing Station and Wine Barrels, turn them into beer, wine, ciders and even juices (variety is the spice of life as they say). You can of course keep the alcohol for yourself and your people or turn it into profit. That decision is all up to you - just do not drink it all yourself as the consequences will be a bit hazy and painful.

Next up, we have beekeeping. This is a feature that a few of us in the office have been excited the most about simply because we adore those little buzzing creatures. You will now be able to build Apiaries in your village, a dedicated place for your beehives and your honeybees. You will be able to produce honey, which can be collected by your beekeepers, a highly valuable commodity which will help you create honeycomb and mead - the nectar of gods. This building will certainly get you buzzing.

Collecting that sweet nectar.
Another new building that we have added is the Workshop. Inside this building, you’ll be able to place workbenches where you or other skilled craftsmen can make, create, and operate the above-mentioned Brewing Stations, Wine Barrels, as well as manufacture clay pots and bottles using the Pottery Wheel, and make non-alcoholic juice using the Juice Press. This building is your non-stop shop for all those essential needs to make your medieval community thrive.

Crafting in progress.

Another noticeable addition is new food that is available to you and your people, such as different types of porridges, tarts, rolls, eggs, and soups. We have also added eight new talents (for Farming, Extraction, Survival, Hunting, and Diplomacy), new animations, and we’ve increased the building limit too. Plus, lots and lots more.

A feast fit for a Lord.

We hope that you enjoy this latest update and do let us know what you think of it too in the comments below. To see all the changes, we have added a full Changelog a few paragraphs down below. And as always, let us know your thoughts, suggestions, ideas, and anything else either on our social channels or on our Discord server. And come by the r/MedievalDynasty Community on Reddit too. They are a friendly bunch of people (hello!!).

All the best
