Greetings Wizards,
with just 1 day left until launch, let's take a look at the minions of darkness you'll encounter and battle on your quest.
Unlit
When the Umbral plague started to spread, its gloom affected all - but none more so than the simple tree folk of Primeweald. The lesser elves' bodies became twisted and hardened, their minds turned from cultivating plant life to violence and hatred. Bound to the dark force's will, they follow it blindly.
As the bulwark of the plagued army, the Unlit are not only skilled swordsmen, but deadly archers as well. When you're far away, they will mercilessly try to turn your body into Swiss cheese with arrows. If you dare to get close, they will transform their bow into a shield, and summon a sword to deal with you face to face.
Darkling
Darklings have always been shifty little imps... but the Umbral plague made them extraordinarily annoying. With a knack for improvised explosives, the Darklings lurk where no other creatures can survive.
The Darklings utilize their agility and small size to support the plagued army. They will jump around any nosy Wizard and try to blow them up with smaller and bigger bombs. Fortunately, they're not very smart about it - sometimes they blow up themselves, or their fellow Darklings.
Shroomling
The Umbral plague also affected the whimsical fungi growing in the Forsaken Wood, making them much more territorial, and driving them to attack any foreigner with no regard for themselves.
Don't let the cute look fool you - filled with poisonous spores, the Shroomlings wait burrowed in the ground for their prey. Once you get close enough, they pop out and clumsily run toward you to explode and leave a lingering deadly gas cloud.
Fire Acolyte
The elven sorcerers studying the power of the elements became the most powerful servants of darkness. Corrupted by the Umbral plague, they command magic to bring nothing but death and destruction. They are the true test of a Wizard's might.
The Fire Acolyte strikes with a blazing fury, hoping to put an end to your adventure. Watch out for their Fire Sentries, they can easily knock you out while you're distracted!
Ice Acolyte
The Ice Acolyte commands the freezing powers, and tries to immobilize and finish off any trespassing Wizards. Their deadly icicles easily pierce through flesh, while their icy barrier heals and protects them from taking damage - do your best to destroy it before the Acolyte emerges fully healed!
Lightning Acolyte
The Lightning Acolyte is electric power personified - with chaotic, erratic teleporting and swift melee strikes, they pose a great threat to any Wizard. Just when you think their attacks have stopped and you can finally breathe, expect a sudden lightning storm over your head! They know no rest while you're still alive.
Thank you for checking out this update, we hope you're ready to cleanse the realm! See you tomorrow on a grand adventure!

Greetings Wizards,
With only 2 days left until launch, let's take a look at the entirely new spells in Dark Times.
Magma Burst
Initially, we wanted to make this spell a stream of molten lava... isn't it better to blow stuff up though? Your go-to "please disperse" spell, Magma Burst leaves a trail of destruction that sets enemies on fire, and explodes on impact (or releasing the Grip buttons). Cast the Fireball and press the Grip buttons while holding it, then drop the lava rock on the ground.
Arcane Beam
Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level? The Arcane Beam is a concentrated, devastating magic force. Purifying the realm will be much easier once you get the hang of this spell. Cast the Arcane Shield and press the Grip buttons while holding it, then spread out your hands and unleash the power.
Storm Nova
It's easy to get overwhelmed while rescuing the world. If you ever feel like the enemies are too annoying or there's too many of them to catch a breath, just electrocute EVERYTHING around you. Everyone needs a break, even Wizards. Cast Lightning, press the Grip buttons while your hands are filled with raw power, then spread your hands to the sides.
Ice Sabers
The freezing mechanic is one of the coolest (pun intended) features of Dark Times, but then you can also go into overdrive with Ice Sabers - your instant freezing solution. Smash them in the faces of your enemies in melee, or alternatively throw them - Ice Sabers know the way. Cast the Frostbow, put your hands together, press both Grip buttons, and release to the sides - the ice heeds your command.
Radiant Shards
Ever feel like just punching fantasy creatures? Good news - with Radiant Shards, you can either punch or throw. The magical shards work best in close range, utilize the spread to the best of your ability! Put your hand over your shoulder, press the Trigger, and straighten it to the other side to conjure Radiant Shards. Works with either or both hands!
Radiant Missiles
The Radiant Missiles are the invoked form of Radiant Shards. When conjured, they suspend in the air until touched by your hand - then, they launch in the sky and seek the nearest target. A very powerful spell for... well, dark times. Cast the Radiant Shards, put your hands together and press the Grip buttons, then spread them to the sides to conjure Radiant Missiles.
Arcane Pulse
The last addition to the spell arsenal, the Arcane Pulse means raw, directed kinetic power. Make the enemies, crates, barrels and torches back off with a swift and precise motion in a Jedi-like manner. To cast Arcane Pulse, put your hand forward, press the Grip button, pull your hand toward your chest, then push forward and release the Grip. Arcane Pulse can be cast in either or both hands (stronger effect with both!)
Thank you for checking out this update, we're thrilled to sling spells with you in just 2 days!
