With a significantly refined experience across the board, 3 new tracks, 2 new cars and the incredible Top Gear Test Track, Circuit Superstars continues to be the love-letter to motorsport we have been writing since this project started.
We want to say a big THANK YOU to our community. Our work has not been easy. We set out to accomplish something deeply ambitious, something fueled by dreams and a deep love for motorsport. We could not have gotten Circuit Superstars to where it is today without the support of our wonderful partner, Square Enix Collective, and without the support of our community.
This community has been a wonderful companion on our journey. We've poured an unmeasurable amount of love and dedication into creating an ode to racing, a stylized simulator that portrays the charming world of motorsport. We could not have done this without YOU. To everyone on our wonderful Discord community, to every single Early Access player who played and gave feedback, a deep thank you from all of us at Original Fire Games.
First of all, we're thrilled to unveil the cover art for Circuit Superstars! We wanted to create a timeless piece that portrayed motorsport through the eras, one that captured the thrill, readiness, joy and speed experienced on the race track. We hope you enjoy!

“Racing is life, anything before or after is just waiting.” Steve McQueen
From Blingwolf: I remember the ride home after weekends of racing. Going over the events of the weekend, telling stories from the track, simulating cars with our hands to illustrate takeovers, crashes, lap strategies. I loved hearing my family create a story of the weekend. There was always something memorable, something learned, regardless of whether my dad or one of my brothers had won or not. These are the stories that weaved a love for racing deep into our souls.
These are the stories that inspired Circuit Superstars.
It's time for you to tell your own stories, and we can’t wait to hear them, because:

Dev Update
We have now been on the Early Access road since March 5th. Before we hit August, I want to do a recap of everything that has happened throughout Early Access:
On the tracks front, we released Interstate, Tilksport and Buffalo Hill.
On the cars front, we released the Agitator, Vost and the Piccino.
On the systems front, we addressed multiple bugs, fixed exploits, improved AI gameplay, and have continuously looked for improvements to online networking and the experience of connecting to other players.
The game and its content have continued to grow, and I am happy to let you know that we are in the process of making the gold version of Circuit Superstars! As I mentioned in the post from last Thursday, we have a planned update to the Early Access on or around August 12th. This update will bring to Early Access almost everything we have been working on: bug fixes, gameplay tuning, polish across the board, and additional content.
Some of you have asked why we have put such a strong focus on console porting. Our goal is to reach a wide audience in order to build a strong and engaged community for Circuit Superstars. In other words: more platforms = a bigger and better community!
So, all of that said, I want to give you a sneak peek of some of what you can look forward to for the next patch: - Grand Prix mode, which replaced the previous single player experience known as Arcade. - Replays system upgrades, including broadcast cameras for all tracks. - A new system of online events rotations (no longer weekly). - Controller rebinding. - More!

Dev update - Lets catch up to what has been going on!
We have continued to be deeply focused on the console porting efforts. This has been a huge amount of work for our team, but we are so excited for you to be able to play Circuit Superstars from the comfort of your couch! We have been learning a lot as we go, it feels like we are levelling up as a team but it has not been easy. We are also grateful for great QA folks who are helping us find everything we need to fix. Whenever I take a bit of a step back and take a look at the game, I'm so proud of what we are making. The new cars and new tracks are absolutely stunning, the Main Menu has gone through an *artisanal *pass (believe me, its the right word to describe it), and Alberto finished the Replays system, with cameras that will empower content creators beyond what we had originally imagined. As we move through those efforts, we are also preparing to bring you the biggest update to our Early Access yet.
The Now / Next format that we used throughout Early Access doesn't make much sense in this moment, since you will not see much difference between weeks. We are currently strongly focused on console porting and QA / bug fixing. We are tightening the seams of Circuit Superstars, and we eagerly look forward to sharing with you what we have build over the past months.
Thank you for continuing to support us!
We hope you enjoy the weekly events as well as these screenshots that tease a little bit what you'll be seeing as part of the replays system. They show you Circuit Superstars like you have not seen it before. Let us know what you think!
With Circuit Superstars, we have always wanted to create a charming portrait of motorsport. That is why we are super happy to introduce the most adorable yet furiously competitive, Piccino! This little guy is ready to race against all piccini who stand in their way.
With a roster of liveries for you to unlock, the Piccino will never lack attitude. Here is a little preview of what we have included:
We can't wait to see all of your replays and videos of Piccini running around! Enjoy.
Additionally, we have added new liveries for the Panther, here's a preview of what you might unlock:
Development Update
If you keep up with our weekly updates, you will know that we have been working on a variety of features and upgrades for Circuit Superstars. In this moment, we are very strongly focused on console porting efforts and game polish, which means 2 things for the most part:
Our development build continues to feel and look better every day
This unfortunately means that the build is not very stable, since multiple features are introduced or modified as we polish, fix bugs, or build systems for the consoles.
What this means for you is that for this update we wanted to keep the Early Access build stable and reliable, so we decided to do a content only update. The good news is that we are working towards bringing you an incredible Patch v.0.4.0 at the beginning of August. As always with game development, we have intentions that fuel our direction, but things come up that may change plans. This update will include things we have been working on that we haven't been able to ship to Early Access, such as control rebinding, polished animations, trophies on the podium, better replays and oh so much more that we CAN'T WAIT for you to see.
THANK YOU! Infinite thanks to everyone who has been playing and reading our updates. This means the world to us and we hope you know the massive impact you have had in Circuit Superstars being the best game it can be.

Now and Next
For more information on why we're doing NEXT and NOW instead of a roadmap for our development updates, please head to April 8th's update.
Where to begin! Each week feels both like a day and a year at the same time.
So much work is going on and in different fronts of the game. Carlos and Ciccio have are now testing the latest tracks, dressing them up with environments and doing all the implementation of technical art and race systems that all tracks need. On the cars front, Carlos has some new cars that now need to be tuned by Alberto and set up with beautiful liveries. Alberto has been doing further refinements to the Main Menu, the UI, the animations and the Podium. John has been going back to his controller rebinding work as well as fixing bugs across the board and working with Alberto to refine some screens. On the console porting front, Phil and John are collaborating with our friends Mike and Derek who are external support that joined forces with us to get the game ready to begin an official QA pass. Caro has been working to get a new language integrated into the game as well as tend to localisation & font bugs present throughout the game.
Overall, we have a very strong focus of our efforts on console porting. This is demanding work that needs a lot of our bandwidth since we are going through this process for the first time and it is far from being an easy one. We learn a lot every day and we feel our team getting stronger through those lessons.
That said, here is a summary of where our time is going:
NOW
Strong focus on console porting.
Refinements to Front End UI.
Localisation bug fixing.
Tracks race systems integrations and testing.
New liveries.
Bug fixing.
NEXT
Car tuning of new cars.
Refinements to game loop.
Lastly, we have a game content update lined up for July 8th!

How is the summer treating you? We hope that wherever you are, you are getting some sunshine. And if its cloudy where you are at, we suggest visiting the sunny roads of Tilksport or Buffalo Hill!
We have been so happy to read your feedback about the latest update to the game (Patch v.0.3.0). Knowing that you are enjoying the long awaited return of the Vost bring so much joy to our hearts. And we have had so much hearing about your experiences racing on Buffalo Hill! We hope that each update we make to Circuit Superstars continues to bring you all together at the racetrack.

Now and Next
For more information on why we're doing NEXT and NOW instead of a roadmap for our development updates, please head to April 8th's update.
As you may know, making online improvements to the gameplay experience was our highest priority for a while. This meant that a couple of things were put on pause while John, the single engineer working on networking code, focused on improving that experience. As a 6 person team, this is the kind of decision making we are doing at all times. Its a constant balancing between what exists and needs to be better, and what doesn't exist and needs to be built. Being on Early Access has helped us a lot to add importance to the things that need to be better. All of you who have played and given feedback have been instrumental in helping us make decisions, and we can't thank you enough for joining us on that journey!
All of that said, this is what we are currently focusing on:
NOW
Refinements to character animations.
Refinements to Front End UI.
Localization pass.
New cars and tracks in development.
Ongoing work on console porting.
NEXT
Fix bug in which lapped players who cross the finish line have the wrong placement displayed temporarily.
Implementation of Steam Achievements & console achievements.
Further bug-fixing (Thank you for your reports!)
Lastly, we want to thank the mods at our Discord, who continue to nourish a safe, fun and engaged community of motorsports fans. Additionally, we want to give a HUGE shoutout to Minardi, our dear friend and community leader. Minardi has not only continued to pioneer fan content creation of Circuit Superstars, but he has also been an ongoing leader in the community. From helping gather people at the racetrack, to making each new member of the community feel welcome. Thank you for your outstanding presence, Minardi!
