Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Myzzrym

Hello everyone!

While we're all patiently waiting for more news about the upcoming Solasta DLC, we'll be hosting a chill Dev Stream on Tuesday 28th starting at 9 am PDT / 11 am EDT / 6 pm CEST, where we'll discuss Barbarians and Druids and check out some community-made dungeons (I heard the ones made by Silverquick are quite popular). Make sure you join us to chat about Solasta and chill together with other fans of the game!

Physical Goodies Update
We've just received good news from our partners helping us on the Solasta physical goods!
  • Adventure Box: As some of you already saw in previous updates, we had receive a sample of the Adventure Box. Now we've received confirmation that the manufacturing process has started!
  • Vinyl Disk: We've stated in a previous update that our Vinyl Disks have been sent! Hopefully everyone should receive theirs by mid-October at the latest.
  • Solasta Sourcebook: We're finally getting there. We just got the final digital version of the Deluxe Sourcebook complete, and we're now validating the design of the physical cover. That's the final step before printing!
As a reminder, our goal is to start shipping the Adventure Boxes and Sourcebooks in January 2022 - so there's still quite some time before you receive them.

The Deluxe Version contains 40 additional pages of Concept Art & other sketches with notes from yours truly, Myzzrym

Alright folks, this is the end for today! See you on September 28th for the Dev Stream, and don't hesitate to prepare a few questions for us! Thank you for reading, and don't hesitate to drop by our Forums or our Discord Server.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Myzzrym
Hey there folks!

It's been a bit more than a week since the Wishing Well Event ended, and we received so many submissions that we're still going through them all! No I mean seriously, we have several thousands of class features to read through, so that's going to take some time. In any case, thank you so much for your participation - we're super happy about how many of you took the time to send us your awesome ideas. But we aren't about to keep everything for ourselves! Today, we'll be presenting the main themes behind the subclass designs we received. But first...

Kitty! It's been a while, I know some of you only read our news for that fluff factor.

Barbarian Paths
Barbarians are an interesting bunch. Mighty warriors driven by their rage, overpowering their enemy through pure physical prowess and innate combat senses where Fighters shine through training and skills. You could draw similitudes to what Sorcerers are to Wizards: it's in their blood.

Most submissions we received can be regrouped in the following themes, here is a little breakdown of the most common ones (with some comments):
  • Mountain / Stone: Unbreakable Barbarians who stand in the middle of the fight, taking blows left and right without a care. Just imagine that scene with Boromir from Lord of the Ring, but instead he doesn't die and keeps fighting (although that would be the Zealot from Xanathar's Guide - the features here are a little different) .
  • Blood / Sacrifice: Barbarians who grow stronger the more injured they become, the epitome of high risk high reward.
  • Strength / Might: Strength is everything to these Barbarians, who can break the ground with a stomp and throw enemies around like wet towels. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.
  • Dragons: Dragon Blood does not only produce Sorcerers, and these Barbarians use their Draconic features to heavily enhance their combat abilities.
  • War Paint: Blessed by the shamans of their tribe, these Barbarians covered in magic war paint and tattoos often surprise enemies with strange curses and protection that one would not expect from a savage warrior.
  • Leadership: Some are warriors, others are leaders - these Barbarians are both. They lead by example, jumping first into the fight, empowering and rallying their allies through their rage and powerful war cries.
  • Spirits / Ancestors: Barbarians whose powers are linked to the tribe's Guardian Spirits or Ancestors. Unfortunately this theme skirts a little too close to the official Ancestral Guardian subclass featured in the Xanathar's Guide, so we had to discard the proposals linked to it.
  • Pirates: Some people suggested Barbarian pirates, sailing the high seas! While the idea could be fun, Solasta: Crown of the Magister's campaign takes place far away from any ocean, and most features wouldn't work in consequence.
  • Vikings: Similarly we also had some submissions for Barbarian Paths taking inspiration from the Vikings. Not a bad idea, but it just doesn't work in the current setting, sorry!
  • Death: We had a few submissions for Barbarians that would grow stronger each time they would kill, with some features even giving them a little bit of Necromancer vibe.
  • Brawler: What happens when you don't have Monks in your game? People submits Monk-like subclasses instead. More seriously though, this is something that could be very cool - and that we've seen a lot of homebrew out there. Some people just want the punching and kicking without the whole peace of mind and supernatural Ki package bundled with it, and I personally agree! But fighting barehanded would require a lot new set of animations, not to mention a lot of features included grappling which is just not in Solasta.
  • Craziness: Barbarians whose rage goes incontrollable and unstable, leading to very strange consequences.
  • Hunting: So, here's the issue with this theme - very often I found that the features submitted were pretty much Ranger features (or could be). It's not that Barbarians can't be close to nature, but here they retained very little Barbarian identity and went full Ranger-but-strong-instead-of-dexterous. Also, a lot of focus on thrown weapons - we don't have a lot of those in Solasta :(
  • Animals: Unfortunate, chief. Path of the Beast is already a thing in Tasha, and the features are looking awfully similar.
  • Half-Demon: This could be interesting, but we haven't introduced any demons to the Solasta setting yet. Does that mean there are none though? Who knows.
  • Elements: A lot of features received there were very close to the Storm Herald (Xanathar Guide), so we had to scrap them.
  • Focus / Clarity: A twist on the usual rage-fueled warrior, these Barbarians turn their rage into pure focus instead.
Druid Circles
The Clerics of Mother Nature have arrived (though don't let them know I called them that, I don't think they'd appreciate it). Druids are full on spellcasters who trade the ability to wear metal and to shoo spooky skeletons away with the ability to turn into animals - and large ones at that.

Most submissions we received can be regrouped in the following themes, here is a little breakdown of the most common ones (with some comments):
  • Sky / Space: Although both Circle of the Moon & Circle of the Stars already exist, we found a lot of interesting submissions within that thematic which strayed away from those official subclasses.
  • Nature / Balance: It was obvious, everyone was expecting it, the Druid was going to get submissions with nature-related features. And some good ones at that, there were a lot of great ideas there!
  • Cycle of Life: These Druids protect the cycle by nurturing life but also combatting those who keep to remain alive after their time has come. Thematically it's the creed of Maraike in Solasta, so there might be conflicts with her Clerics.
  • Healing: Druids whose powers revolve around healing the land and its inhabitants, blessed by Nature herself.
  • Shapeshifting: As with Nature, we know Shapeshift-enhancing features were going to be a thing. That said, a lot of them are skirting a little close to the Circle of the Moon!
  • Fire: Sorry chief, Circle of Wildfire just came out in Tasha recently!
  • Death / Decay: A little close thematically to the Circle of Spore from Ravnica, and also a little too close to Necromancy. We found that theme getting a little far from what we think Druids are in Solasta, not to mention our campaign is ill-suited for really evil characters.
  • Spirits: Flying a little close to the Circle of Dreams!
  • Dragons: Now that's interesting. While Dragons are a huge thing in Solasta, and the notion of Draconic Barbarians sounded cool - Draconic Druids don't resonate with us as much. First of all, Dragons already grant Arcane powers (Sorcerers) so having a divine spellcaster with links to Dragons must mean they worship them. But Druids, unlike Clerics, aren't really drawing power from a single deity - but rather nature itself (which is why they are a separate class from Clerics). As you can see, it gets a little complicated lore-wise when it comes to Draconic Druids.
  • Martial: Druids who've been spending time at the gym getting those gains and punching fools.
How will I know if my submission is selected?
Before releasing the DLC (date not yet revealed), we will announce which ideas we selected (and some personal favorites as well) in a news post just like this one – and the name or nickname you put in the Google Form will also be added to the in-game credits as Community Designer.

The Vinyl Disks are starting to arrive!
Some of you in France may have already received theirs! For all the others, our audio partner G4F gave us the following estimates:
  • France: About a week
  • Europe: 2-3 weeks, maybe more depending on the country
  • USA: Around a month
  • Others: 1-2 months
Also, some of you have been asking us about changing addresses. Unfortunately, that's already too late for the Vinyl Disks - but you still have a tiny bit of time for the Sourcebook and the Adventure Box! Just head to CrowdOx, log in and change your address there.

Alright folks, this is the end for today! Hope you enjoyed getting a glimpse of all the submissions we received! Also, check out our Forums and our Discord Server to chat with other players!

Hey there folks!

Are you ready for more Solasta? That’s right, today we’re revealing part of our upcoming DLC – say hello to the Barbarian and the Druid. But wait, that’s not all! As most of you know, ever since our Kickstarter we’ve been working hand in hand with our players – you – to make Solasta a better game, and that’s why today starts the Wishing Well Event!

What is the Wishing Well?
The Wishing Well is an event where everyone gets to submit design ideas for the two Community Subclasses that we’ll implement in-game for our first upcoming DLC – one for the Barbarian, and one for the Druid. We (Tactical Adventures) will be going through the submissions to select ideas that we find really cool, and either implement them as such, or tweak them to fit the game (for instance if the feature sounds really great but is too complex to implement, we’ll adapt or simplify it). Of course, the name (or nickname) of those we’ll use ideas from will be added in the game’s credits as Community Designers.

When is the Wishing Well taking place?
The Wishing Well starts now and ends on Sunday September 5th at 11:59 pm PDT.

What are the rules of the Wishing Well?
  • Please only participate once per person, i.e. 1 submission maximum per class
  • Please do not submit existing designs taken either from official sourcebooks or existing homebrew (unless it’s your own homebrew and you’re willing to share of course)
  • You do not need to submit a complete design – for instance, if you have cool ideas for a level 3 and level 6 barbarian features, but nothing for level 10 and 14, you can still submit something!
  • Please note that by participating, you agree to Tactical Adventures using the content you submitted. The legal guidelines can be found here (Barbarian Contest) and here (Druid Contest), if you’re proficient in legalese and want to dig into the documents.
  • Please note that we may adapt and modify the design you submitted
  • Please note that we may select features from different submissions to create both community subclasses (as in, picking a level 3 feature from one submission, and a level 6 feature from another one…)
How do I participate to the Wishing Well?
Simply submit your ideas in this Google Form!

How will I know if my submission is selected?
Before releasing the DLC (date not yet revealed), we will announce which ideas we selected (and some personal favorites as well) in a news post just like this one – and the name or nickname you put in the Google Form will also be added to the in-game credits as Community Designer.

Alright folks, this is the end for today! As always thank you for reading, we can’t wait to see what crazy ideas you have in mind! Also, check out our Forums and our Discord Server to chat with other players!

Solasta Campaign Rulebook - Did you find any mistake?
Before we start: we're about to wrap up the Campaign Rulebook for Solasta with a professional proofreader, but as we say two minds are often better than one. So if you found any mistake or typo, you can submit them for us to fix before we send the file to the printer! You can fill the form as many times as you want, but only submit once per mistake.
And as always... Thank you for your help!

As a reminder, the Kickstarter Physical Rewards are planned to be delivered in Early 2022 as explained on a previous Kickstarter update. Hi there people,

We're back with a new 1.1.11 Hotfix before summer break rolls in full force, to fix a few bugs that you folks brought up to our attention.

Someone just rolled a natural 20 on their Perception Check.

Patch Notes:
  • [Sorcerer] Added Blue Dragon Ancestry (Lightning) in Character Creation.
  • [Sorcerer] Draconic Sorcerer Elemental Affinity should now properly apply to all spells that deal their ancestor's elemental damage, such as Fireball and Burning Hands for Gold Dragon Sorcerers.
  • [Sorcerer] Empowered Spell Metamagic now correctly costs 1 Sorcery Point instead of 2.
  • [Sorcerer] Empowered Spell Metamagic now correctly rerolls 1s and 2s instead of only 1s.
  • [Sorcerer] Fixed a rare crash on level-up if the Sorcerer had too many spells known for their current level.
  • [Item] Potion of Fly should now correctly grant you Fly instead of Levitate.
  • [Item] Staff of Metis are no longer restricted to Wizards.
  • [Quest] Fixed a bug where Arwin Merton could be controllable but not considered in the party. You are on this council but we do not grant you the rank of Master.
  • [Quest] Fixed a bug in Cradle of Fire where Brok would just chill next to the Arena instead of helping you fight Arrok. Must have just forgot the time. Note: If your main quest is stuck after killing Arrok due to that bug, you'll need to load a save from before you start the fight with Arrok and that should fix it.
  • [Quest] Fixed a bug where the exit to the Legendary Quest would not appear unless you touched the wooden sign next to the fireplace for uh... reasons I guess. Now the exit always appears once the quest is complete. Note that if you are stuck there, just have one party member interact with the wooden sign next to the fireplace (press ALT to highlight it).
  • [Quest] Fixed an issue where characters with the highest skill modifier were not always selected for the respective skill check in the Caer Lem Door Cutscene. Note that this only fixes this specific dialog, so if you find that this issue occurs somewhere else please send us save files / screenshots!
  • [Shop] Powerful magic items no longer restock once bought (such as the Tomes which grant +2 permanent stat)
  • [Combat] Fixed an issue where the UI could disappear between characters' turn.
  • [Combat] Fixed an issue where banters would no longer be played when getting healed. Always thank your healer!
  • [Dungeon Maker] Poisons should now appear in the list of items available in chests
Alright folks, this is the end for today! As always thank you for reading, hope you all have a great summer and don't hesitate to drop by our Forums or our Discord Server.

Hello everyone!

We hope you're out there having fun enjoying the Sorcerer Update. We're doing this little update to inform you all that we'll be hosting a small Dev Stream on Tuesday 27th starting at 9 am PDT / 11 am EDT / 6 pm CEST for about 2 hours, where we'll discuss the game, the update and also talk a bit about the future (a bright one, worry not). We're also taking the opportunity to give our Kickstarter Backers an update on everything that has to do with their rewards - especially their physical ones!

Also, cats. Always cats. The sofa has been relinquished to our feline overlords.

Solasta Campaign Sourcebook - almost done!

Digital sample of the Solasta Campaign Sourcebook

The digital version of the Solasta Campaign Sourcebook is almost done! In fact, you'll probably receive a first digital version within the next two weeks - although we haven't done proofreading yet, so there are bound to be small mistakes here and there (we will of course send you a final version once everything is complete as well).

And before we go any further, we know a lot of people have been asking to buy copies of our Sourcebook but we unfortunately can't sell them outside our Kickstarter Campaign. We'd love to, but there are legal implications in doing so meaning it's not going be possible for now. Sorry folks!

Anyway, what's left to do for the Sourcebook?
  • Complete the Deluxe Edition's Art Section. As Backers may remember, the physical version of the Sourcebook has an extra section at the end of the book with various illustrations and concept art of Solasta.
  • Proofreading. In order to make sure there are as few mistakes as possible in the text, we'll have a professional proofreader go over the text.
  • Printing. Once the Deluxe Edition Sourcebook is 100% ready to go, our printing partner will start to get the printing presses rolling!

Digital sample of the Ruins of Carillach Gar adventure included in the Adventure Box

Adventure Box, Vinyl Disks & Shipping Date
So, if you're like me most of you have one question in mind: When are we going to receive the physical goods?

After discussing with our partner handling the operations related to our Kickstarter goodies, it turns out that due to the current situation both manufacturing and transport take much longer than what it was in 2019. We're currently looking at Early 2022 to have the Adventure Box and the Deluxe Sourcebook delivered at your doorstep - which is quite a bit more time than we would have wanted! We went from 3 months after 1.0 launch to 6-7 months now, and for that we apologize.

Monster Card - Deep Spider, included in the Adventure Box

So, what are the reasons behind that?
  • First, as previously stated, compared to 2019 the delays have increased tremendously in the boardgame industry. Unsurprisingly since a lot of people are stuck at home board games are soaring in popularity, so factories around the world are seeing an increase in demand - meaning it takes more time to get our Adventure Box to be manufactured.
  • Second, international transport which mainly relies on boats is also getting slowed by the situation. A COVID outbreak in one port means boats may end up stranded for several weeks, creating more delays.
  • Third, although we did our best to prepare the Adventure Box and Sourcebook as much as we could before release, our main priority has always been Solasta. There were many times were we had to switch focus from the physical goodies to fully direct our attention to the game, pushing back tasks required to complete said goodies. That said, the Adventure Box's design is complete and is now in the hands of the manufacturer!
Note, the exception to the rule are the Vinyl Disks that are handled separately by our Audio partner G4F, which you can still order on their website - as far as we're informed, those should be shipped in the next two months.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister Original Soundtrack Vinyl Disks

Digital Rewards
Physical Rewards are not the only Kickstarter Rewards that are yet to be sent! We still have:
  • Solasta Digital World Map: We actually have added a new one on top of the existing one, and both are ready to be sent (we'll bundle that together with the Sourcebook PDF v0.9). The original world map focused on the locations found in Solasta: Crown of the Magister, and the additional world map actually includes the surrounding kingdoms that are yet to be shown in the main game!
  • Solasta Tabletop Sourcebook (PDF). As stated above, the v0.9 (without proofreading) will be sent within the next two weeks!
  • Dev Documents. This one is a bit trickier as we have to make sure we aren't sharing sensitive information (for instance, things that our partners may have shared with us), but we're hoping to also bundle that with the rest of the digital rewards!

World Map of Solasta: Crown of the Magister (available both in .PSD & .PNG format)

Alright folks, this is the end for today! See you on July 27th for the Dev Stream, and don't hesitate to prepare a few questions for us! Thank you for reading, and don't hesitate to drop by our Forums or our Discord Server.

Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Myzzrym
Hey there folks!

We've rolled out a quick hotfix to solve some issues that we noted with the Sorcerer Update. Note: If you don't see the update, make sure you restart Steam.

The 1.1.8 patch fixes the following:
  • Protection from Energy should now work properly again.
  • The bug that would sometimes make UI buttons disappear at random during battles should now be fixed, and with it the annoying "data corruption" error message when trying to load saves after that. Bad bug, bad!
  • Hector, the pre-made Sorcerer that just picked up the game recently, had his DM check his character sheet. He no longer has Guiding Bolt twice at level 1 in his spell list.
  • Fixed an exploit where Spellblades could learn an infinite amount of new cantrips if they cancelled their level up at level 10.
  • Fixed a rare crash that could happen when the party "graciously returned" the crown to the Council in the later half of the campaign.
  • Fixed a few localization issues
Enjoy your time in Solasta!
Solasta: Crown of the Magister - Myzzrym

Important Information!
  • Added Russian & Brazilian Portuguese localization
  • Please make sure to remove / deactivate all your mods! Large updates will often conflict with existing mods, so mods may very well break the game if you don't deactivate them - leading to frequent crashes and / or other issues.
  • This also means loading a save of a run where you had mods enabled will probably break.
  • If you run into a bug, a list of known issues is available at the bottom of the Patch Notes
Class & Gameplay
  • Added Ironman Mode to the difficulty setting. Ironman Mode can only be selected when you start a new campaign, and can't be turned off - you only get a single save file, and it gets deleted on a game over!
  • Added the Sorcerer Class to the Character Creator (Draconic Bloodline, Mana Painter, Child of the Rift)
  • Sorcerers have access to additional facial customizations, currently unavailable for other classes (but we're looking into it for the future!)
  • Rangers can now replace one known spell when they level up
  • Fixed Rangers sometimes not getting the correct favored enemy / terrain they selected at level 6
  • Fixed Champion Fighter's 2nd fighting style overwriting the 1st at level 10
  • Fixed Rogue missing their ASI at level 10
  • Fixed not being able to level up as a wizard if you already knew all the spells available
  • Fixed Fighters not being able to dash twice with Action Surge
  • Fixed Paladins starting with javelins equipped instead of their longsword
  • Fixed dwarves getting slowed by wearing heavy armor when their strength is below requirement
  • Fixed Creed of Arun sharing the same text with Ambidextrous
Spells & Magic
  • Spells can now be upcasted even if they don't scale. This option only appears when you're out of spell slots for that specific spell level
  • Added Dominate Beast Spell (level 4)
  • High CR Soraks can no longer be affected by Calm Emotion
  • Fixed Aid not being dispelled when traveling on the World Map
  • Fixed Aid sometimes making you lose health (wut?)
  • Fixed Heroism Spell not displaying the correct values in the tooltip
  • Fixed Heroism not working as it should
  • Fixed Pass without Trace granting +20 instead of +10 on Stealth Checks, effectively rendering all enemies blind outside combat
  • Detect Magic now keeps detecting magic as long as you concentrate on the spell. As opposed to, you know, only working when cast and then sit there pretending to be important, eating your concentration and sleeping on your couch.
  • Fixed Bane not working as it should
  • Fixed Slow granting a bonus to dex saving throws instead of a penalty… yeaaaaa…...
  • Fixed Grease & Protection from Energy scaling with higher level spellslots since they are not supposed to
Items & Equipment
  • Disabled auto-equip! Your party will no longer sneakily equip this random unidentified magical item lying on the ground. Most wise!
  • Fixed an issue where the party chest would become unusable. Simply leave and re-enter Caer Cyflen to fix it.
  • Fixed Tome of Understanding not being usable
  • Fixed Potions using your concentration, that's not how it's supposed to work!
  • Fixed an exploit where you could drop attuned items in chests while keeping the magic item's bonus… you sly dogs… Magic items now lose attunement when dropped in a container
  • Fixed Staff of Metis not recharging at dawn
  • Staff of Metis is now blue like it was originally intended to be, and now has a teensy bit of VFX as well!
  • Fixed Primed Chain Shirt not being available in the Arcaneum Shop
  • Fixed being able to drink Spider Venom as if it were a health potion. Weirdos.
  • Fixed spells with multiple options (Eyebite, Fire Wall…) not working correctly when cast using scrolls or magic items
  • Opening readable items should now correctly focus on the beginning instead of the end of the text. Because that's how you're supposed to read letters
  • Fixed the Book of All Things' tooltip
  • Fixed Encumbrance sometimes being wonky when splitting stack of items
  • Fixed some scrolls not having the right icons
  • Fixed being able to scribe a scroll and use magic items while being on a shop screen, which is fairly rude to the merchant (and also caused quite a few issues)
  • Fixed Greataxe of Sharpness dealing 1d8 extra lightning damage
  • Fixed some magic weapons giving double the bonus they were supposed to give
  • Fixed Cog of Cohh again. Wishing him a pleasant trip to Eorzea!
Quests & Story
  • Fixed being able to interact with the gem under the dragon if you had enough stealth in the Conjuration Main Quest, blocking progression as it teleported you before getting crucial information. If you had that bug, you must load a save before the event specified here to unblock yourself.
  • Fixed Brok not being where Brok should be when party brings Axe to Brok. Brok apologizes, Brok got distracted.
  • Brok and Kebra will no longer follow you if you leave the volcano right after freeing Brok
  • The rotating bridge in the caves of Caer Lem now resets each time you enter the caves to avoid blocking a portion of the level. Who resets it? Uuuuhhhh I guess Soraks?
  • Fixed a rare issue where Master Dackin would decide to take some vacations, and thus prevent the party from playing the Academic Background Quest
  • Fixed Master Dackin being in two places at once after you complete the Academic Background Quest. It's simple. We kill the doppelganger.
  • Fixed being unable to complete the Lowlife Background Quest if you cast Knock on the chest. Magic is cheating!
  • Fixed Nel becoming very confused in the Lowlife Background Quest if your entire party attempted to open the chest repeatedly.
  • Reworked a couple of cutscenes, notably fixing a couple of camera shots that used to show you walls instead of your party (it's art, you wouldn't understand it)
  • Fixed some quest markers not pointing to the right place (damn NPCs are so unclear with their directions)
  • Fixed the Legendary Quest completing before the end of the fight. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, folks.
  • Maddy can no longer raise your faction points above 14 when you greet her, no matter how polite you are
  • You can now leave the Legendary Quest location instead of being forced to finish it once you arrive to the temple
  • Fixed a bug where a party member could get stuck after a cutscene in the Lawkeeper Background Quest
  • Fixed a quest item sometimes not being interactable in the Goblin Culture side quest
  • Fixed the Spider Queen sometimes appearing as both dead and alive after loading a save (Schrodinger's Spider, much scarier than his cat)
  • Fixed a very rare bug where your crown could disappear if the wearer was over encumbered at a very specific moment in the game
Monsters & Combat
  • Fixed Bonus Action spells incorrectly using a Main Action when cast to start a fight (often seen with Hunter's Mark)
  • Fixed an issue with Minotaurs being stuck in their charge animation sometimes
  • Fixed death fall animation on elementals
  • A dying character will no longer roll -1 on their death saving throw when receiving damage. Negative values on a D20 are not a thing (yet)
  • Fixed a couple of combat animations that were looking weird
  • Fixed a rare freeze when multiple groups of creatures would try to start combat at the same time. Everyone, get in here!
  • Fixed a rare bug where you could break the game by killing the last enemy in a fight with Spiritual Weapon or Flaming Sphere right before a cutscene triggers
  • Fixed one poor Fire Elemental being stuck in a particular fight in Lava Forest
  • Fixed some monsters not correctly looping their idle animation in the bestiary
Exploration & Misc.
  • Characters with very low Constitution modifier will no longer lose HP when doing a short rest (minimum healing is still 0 though, as per RAW)
  • Fixed not being to fly over small gaps in some locations such as inside the Tirmarian Tower (Caer Lem). If you find other places where this happens, send us a screenshot and tell us where that is!
  • Fixed a potential crash when entering / leaving / re-entering Earcorn location
  • Party members would sometime say the same thing at the same time when clicking an interactable item while exploring. This should now be fixed.
  • Relaxed camera restrictions in planar mode when mouse pointer is above non traversable terrain (like death pits or outside playable area)
  • Fixed a rare bug where the Victory text would stay in the middle of the screen after combat. Because it's a little hard to play like that.
  • Added Environmental VFX in many locations
  • Added missing audio in a couple of places
  • Fixed large squares showing up when targeting Lava Bulbs
  • Fixed some lighting issues in a couple of locations
  • Fixed a couple of clipping issues with hair & armor
  • Fixed some doors not being openable even though they were highlighted when pressing ALT
  • Fixed some doors appearing as locked on the blueprint map even after being opened
Dungeon Maker
  • Added 2 campaigns made by Tactical Adventures (Dun Cuin & Caer Falcarn) to the Dungeon Maker folder for new players & modders. Note that if you delete them, they are also available in the Steam Workshop if you want to re-download them at a later date.

  • Added the Brimstone Viper (M), the Windsnake (M) and the Earth Elemental (L) in Dungeon Maker monster spawners
  • Added a ton of magic weapons & armors in the dungeon maker item list (chest)
  • Traps in the Dungeon Maker should now have VFX
  • Zealots now correctly appear in the Large Monster Spawner instead of the Medium Monster Spawner in the Dungeon Maker
  • Fixed name filter not working correctly in the Dungeon Maker chests & monster spawners
  • Fixed an issue that would corrupt characters when exported at the end of a Dungeon Maker map when they would be attuned to magic items or have an active magical effect on a worn item (like Light)
  • Fixed being unable to upload a Dungeon Maker Map if you already uploaded it and deleted it from the Steam Workshop previously
  • Added Mod.io support for non-Steam versions of Solasta
And for those who didn't get to see it yet, check out our Dungeon Maker Trailer! More features to come :)

Known Issues
  • Opening your inventory via the spell "Identify", then opening another tab (spells, skills...) and then coming back to inventory will prevent clicking on the items to identify (but why would you do that?). Simply cancel the spell and cast it again if that happens to you.
  • [Fixed in Hotfix 1.1.8] Hector, the pre-made Sorcerer, somehow knows Guiding Bolt twice (one for each hand). Unfortunately since Guiding Bolt is outside of regular Sorcerers' jurisdiction, you won't be able to unlearn it either. We'll be fixing that soon, but know that if you do decide to start an adventure with this version of Hector, he'll have two Guiding Bolts until the end (as we can't change the spell list of characters that are already in an adventure). Still, you can love him nonetheless.
  • [Fixed in Hotfix 1.1.8] We uh... we broke the spell Protection from Energy. Just don't use it, it's not going to do anything when cast. Sorry, we'll be working on fixing it asap.
  • [Fixed in Hotfix 1.1.8] We have noted an issue that can happen while in combat - some attack buttons may sometimes disappear at random during combat. When that happens, you may become unable to load save files (it will give you "data corruption" error), but re-starting the game will fix that (your saves aren't actually corrupted, the message is just wrong)
