Once again, Cyberpunk 2077 is coming out a little later than planned. Despite assuring would-be hackers that they wouldn’t be delaying their September launch, developers CD Projekt Red reckon their long-awaited neon blockbuster needs another two months of polish. Sorry, Keanu – it looks like we’ll have to reschedule our Night City hang-out sesh. How’s November 19th for you?

Nvidia Cyberpunk 2077 RTX graphics card

Remember when Nvidia unveiled their special (and slightly heinous looking) Cyberpunk 2077-themed RTX 2080 Ti graphics card back in February? Well, now you can try and win one from GOG if you fancy decking out your PC with this fiercely yellow version of their flagship GPU. All you need to do is describe Cyberpunk 2077 in exactly eight words without using the game’s title. Easy, right?

If anything was going to throw a wrench into Factorio‘s meticulously manufactured mechanisms, you’d never think it was a punk’d up cyborg in a leather jacket. Yet, even as they powered full-steam towards release, the folks at Wube Software have decided Cyberpunk 2077‘s launch-day noise risks drowning out their contraptions. This week, the developers announced plans to bring Factorio out of early access five weeks early, releasing instead on Friday, August 14th.

Fans of the not yet released neon enthusiast sim Cyberpunk 2077 have put together a lot of projects while waiting for its September release. The latest is fan film called Phoenix Program, a story set in the same world and even using some of the game’s characters. A teaser trailer was released on Saturday.

Featuring a group of experienced cosplayers, headlined by Ben “Maul Cosplay” Bergmann (known in particular for his Geralting), it shows an action packed minute in which Neo does John Wick stuff in the nightclub from Blade for unclear reasons. You can see the trailer below.

Cyberpunk 2077

‘s now officially gotten stamped with a “Mature” rating by the ESRB, one of the organisations wot gives all the big games their official warning labels. Most of the ESRB’s description of Cyberpunk’s activities is pretty expected—nothing that GTA hasn’t got finger-wagged for in the past. In among the sex, drugs, and guns though are apparently lots of butts and bits customising and, uh, some kind of cyberpunk crucifixion scene?

CD Projekt Red look like they’re going all out on Cyberpunk 2077-themed hardware this year, as Steelseries have just announced they’re collaborating with the studio on a brand new collection of Cyberpunk 2077 Arctis headsets. Alas, the headsets in question are only variants of their Arctis 1 Wireless headset rather than my current best gaming headset champion, the Arctis 7, but if you were one of the lucky few to win one of the special Cyberpunk 2077-themed RTX 2080 graphics cards Nvidia gave away earlier in the year, then this could be just the thing to complete your Cyberpunk 2077 component collection.

Business are shuttered. Streets are quiet. Sirens blare back and forth. No, this isn’t some piece of post-apocalyptic fiction – increasingly, it’s every urban space under the escalating Covid-19 pandemic. With developers, publishers and retailers alike scrambling to get their staff working from home, Cyberpunk 2077 developers CD Projekt Red are keen to remind fans that they’ll still get their 21st-century dystopia come September 17th.

Sooner, even, if they look out the window.

CD Projekt Red’s tech dystopia FPS Cyberpunk 2077 is expected out later this year. Ye olde marketing machine seems to be getting its gears turning again and CDPR have today posted about one of the gangs that you’ll find in Night City. The Mox are a group that CDPR say “protect working girls and guys from violence and abuse,” specifically sex workers like their in-game inspiration Elizabeth Borden.

Seemingly to mark International Women’s Day yesterday, CD Projekt Red unveiled a new default look for Cyberpunk 2077‘s female protagonist option. The two Vs will be yours to pick from with reversible box art too, they also confirmed. This V has flipped her parting, pinked her hair up, gained some piercings, and lost some makeup – an easier look for rolling straight out of bed into cybernetic ultraviolence. While Cyberpunk 2077 will have character customisation options to change many aspects of V’s appearance, I know many folks like the play as the ‘canon’ version of RPG characters from trailers and the box so hey, here she is.
