Destiny 2 - Green

The Spy, the God, and the Machine

The Hive God of War moves to seize control of Rasputin’s network of weaponized satellites. In her hands, she would turn its devastating power on the Last City. To stop her, the Vanguard has authorized special covert operations armed with the Warmind’s most advanced weaponry. Agents conducting these operations are known as Seraphs.

Heist Battlegrounds

Seraphs have deployed to multiple destinations to infiltrate Braytech facilities, bypass advanced defense systems, and neutralize hordes of Wrathborn. Your security clearance has been granted and your Seraph fireteam awaits, Guardian.

Operation: Seraph’s Shield

For this mission to succeed, Guardians must gain access to the most impenetrable facility in the solar system: a Braytech orbital platform above the Last City. Break through layers of security each week and awaken the Rasputin before it's too late.

Revision Zero

Once deep enough within the orbital platform, Guardians will reach the weapon known as Revision Zero. In the weeks following its discovery, multiple catalysts can be acquired, each adding to the mysterious Exotic’s power.

This week at Bungie, we’re talking Crucible.

Welcome to another TWAB, Guardians. Time is flying by, and we’re once again on the doorstep of another Destiny 2 Season. We can’t believe we’re saying this, but we’re already over halfway through November, which means we’re just a few weeks away from Season of [REDACTED]. This week, we’ll be running through a few fun topics with you all.

  • In the immediate timeframe, it’s Trans Awareness Week!
  • We have some wonderful words from the Trans@Bungie Inclusion Club.

  • Next week, we’re kicking off the Eliksni Quarter community event.
  • While Spider has a sweet space, we think it’s time to make some improvements for our friends.
  • We also have some news on narrative bug fixes, and a few changes to Scallywag Seal requirements.

  • We have a short and sweet update from our Game Security Team.
  • We’ve introduced a few new detection methods to help keep things cleaner.

  • Next Season, we’re kicking off our Crucible updates.
  • There’s quite a bit to talk through, so we provided a TL;DR at the start of that section if you’re in a hurry.

I’ll be honest with you, we’re trying to keep this TWAB under six thousand words. (Spoiler alert: we didn't.) It’s always fun to have chonky blog articles, but they can be a bit rough to trim on our weekly communications timeline —sometimes there’s just a lot of news. If you want to carve out some time to deep dive, this might end up being a 30+ minute read.

Keep in mind we’re taking next week off from our TWAB cycle for Thanksgiving here in the states, so after this read, we won’t be seeing you again in a TWAB until December 1.

Telesto’s... [cough, cough, clears throat] We mean, this week at Bungie, we’ve got Iron Banner changes to discuss.

Last week we went over the changes coming to abilities in the next Season. This week we are hanging out with a few final notes to answer some community questions and sharing some changes to Iron Banner. Read the rest of the blog here.

This week at Bungie, we have a little chat about Guardian abilities and the next step of evolution. With a little side of candy, naturally. It is the last week of Festival of the Lost, after all.

This week, we’re diving deeper into what’s next for abilities with the arrival of Season 19 next month. It’s good to reflect sometimes, but it’s also important to not stay in the past. So come with us on a nifty little journey, if you will, into the world of abilities and where they've been, where they are now, and where they're going in the near future. We’re also teasing a new dungeon that’s ready to rock for next Season, a message to our console players, and another shot at shaping the next weekend of Trials of Osiris.

Read more about abilities, current console states, and more with the full TWAB here.

BOO!

Did I scare you? Doubtful, as I’ve tried this trick in a TWAB before.

Happy Festival of the Lost, Guardians. As tradition, we’ll start with a quick recap of what’s going on in the wild. Headless Ones are roaming Lost Sectors on the hunt for Ghosts, but you’ve already taken up the task of cleaning house. Between a Voltshot roll on the Legendary Mechabre Sniper Rifle or some spicy perks on previous FOTL weapons (Kill Clip BrayTech Werewolf, anyone?), there’s some fun loot to earn, too! We’ve already seen a few gilded Ghost Writers in the Tower, and we can only hope they’re sharing some of the candy they’ve been earning. We’ve also been running some fun fashion and art contests for players. Towards the end of this article, you’ll see a few awesome creations from our players.

So, what’s on deck for the TWAB this week? Crafting's on the mind. We have some fun news on deck for next Season in the Deep Stone Crypt, and we’re looking at some long-term goals that the team is planning to execute for Lightfall. We’ll also be discussing some important information around Stadia and Cross Save, followed by Bungie Bounties and a Prime Rewards refresh.

Let’s get to it! Follow the jump for the full article.

Trick or Treat?

Brave enough to swing onto an enemy pirate ship? Then clearing out Haunted Sectors while wearing a mech suit should be a breeze. Wear your Festival mask as you snuff out spooky shenanigans and take all the candy that drops to the Tower; Eva’s selling rewards and she only accepts sugar.

Haunted Sectors

The ghastly presence has spread to the EDZ and welcomes the Cabal to its haunt. Head into the dark and show that pumpkin who’s boss. The horrors deep within new and reprised Haunted Sectors await along with unique voice lines from Eido, Scribe of the House of Light.

Mask-ing Tape Included

Savathûn’s visage joins a devilishly delightful assortment of Festival masks. Wear your favorite to trick your enemies into giving up their treats.

Costumes: OPERATIONAL

No one thought the mechs vs. monsters vote would be close. But barely canceling the apocalypse is still a win. Head to Eververse and suit up in mech-inspired ornament sets available for Silver.

Tales of the Mechabre

Some mechs fire rocket-propelled fists. Others annoy monsters with itsy bitsy missiles. We’ve looked at all the blueprints and are going with this huge gun. The Sol Survior Sniper Rifle returns, this time wearing a Festival of the Lost costume. Unlock the Mechabre Sniper Rifle and double tap Headless Ones in style.

Event Card

The Festival of the Lost Event Card is packed with new Challenges, a Seal with the accompanying Ghost Writer title, unique rewards, and more. Play for free or upgrade your card for additional cosmetic rewards.

Headless Honorifics

Complete the Festival of the Lost Seal to earn the event title and collectible medallion pin. Terrified of not having something to pin your medallion to? The Headless Ones are here to help.

Happy TWABsday, Guardians! This week we are back with a bit of a hefty TWAB, including some weapons and the economy changes mentioned last week, so sit tight because we are going to be passing the mic to a few different teams to chat with us all today. To read the rest of the blog, click here.

This week at Bungie, we’re talking about some upcoming material changes, diving deep into some player-submitted questions with our Weapons Team, and addressing some of the misinformation floating around regarding recent account bans.

What’s that? That's the sound of some excitable changes on the horizon, but we need to get there first. So, “what about the here and now?” you may be wondering... Glad you did that. The wondering parts. For the immediate future, we’re able to share a closer look at upcoming economic changes coming to Destiny 2 for Season 19. With bigger, more core changes around the corner, there are a few areas that the team is tightening up to prepare. But before we offer a small taste of what’s to come, we want to take a moment and talk about the recent account bans. It’s a sensitive issue, and we want to be transparent and ensure that the information you have is correct.

This week at Bungie, we are riding high on the Eruption love, giving thanks for six-feet-tall jellybeans, and getting our gear ready for the Master King’s Fall raid.

Another week, another excuse to drop some truly Not Great™ jokes. Oh, and some info. We’ve got that too. While not every TWAB will have a ton of new info (that’s the nature of life, baby), this one does have some key dates, a closer look at another Destiny 2 crossover, and some important updates on known issues. But before we dive into all of that, we’ve got a quick update from our Product Security team.

Ready to get into it? Check out the full TWAB here.
