This week at Bungie, we enjoyed a weekend of watching Guardians take on the Taken King once more and we’re now back at it with a matchmaking update and more pirate puns.

Watching you all take on King’s Fall this past week has been incredible. For many, this was a welcome return bringing with it feel-good nostalgia with a challenge-y twist. For others, this was their first shot at experiencing a part of Destiny's history for themselves. Regardless of where you fall on that spectrum of players, there’s one thing that we can all agree on: jumping puzzles are the bane of our existence, and if those hilarious (and often failed, in my case) attempts aren’t a fireteam bonding moment, we don’t know what is.

For this week’s TWABtastic adventure, we’ve got some behind-the-scenes data about recent matchmaking changes, a new Expedition location to loot for booty while putting that best pirate foot forward, World First celebrations, and a few other things outside of Destiny 2 that we’re excited to share.

Ahoy, Guardians! Do we have things to talk about this week or what? Tuesday brought us a ton of information, and today we get to talk a little bit more about what is happening in the current Season! Eramis, awoken from her icy prison by a Dark benefactor, has rallied old Pirate Lords of Eliksni legend to assist her in recovering lost relics of great power... unless you plunder them first. There is no horizon to reach, no edge to your map, but there most certainly is treasure. Assemble your crew, Guardian. 




Body: Assemble treasure maps, dig for treasure, and get it back to your ship all while fending off enemy pirate crews in this new three-player activity. 




Engage in ship-to-ship combat to stop Eramis and her pirate crew from wreaking chaos across the galaxy in this new six-player activity.

Good news is you still have time to wrap up your Seasonal title (I am only missing one more triumph) and think about what you are going to wear for Arc 3.0. I can’t choose between Geomag Stabilizers and Crown of Tempests, but sound off on socials and let us know what you’re trying out first!

This week at Bungie, we’re planning a raid date night.

Happy Solstice, everyone! The bonfire is lit, there is grass in the Tower, and Guardians are donning their new armor with the stats and glows to go with it. We hope you are enjoying your time in the EAZ this year. We have been tracking your feedback on what you are liking about the event, changes that aren’t feeling good, as well as any improvements you would like to see added. Thanks for sharing your feedback and keep it coming.

We’ve got a busy TWAB planned for you today. As promised, we will be going over the launch date of the next raid and then also talking over some matchmaking changes rolling out in Season 18 and Season 19.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of This Week at Bungie. Right now, Iron Banner is going strong as teams battle to grab the Rift and quite literally dunk on their opponents. If you haven’t heard yet, this Season’s Iron Banner has been shaken up with not only a new mode but several other updates to the event from earning reputation and pinnacle rewards to even a new Iron Lord title. Check out this previous TWAB for the full details.

Speaking of Iron Lord, this is the last Iron Banner of the Season, so go get that title this week or you will have to wait until next Season for your next shot. Go make Lord Saladin... errr Valus Forge proud!

This week at Bungie, we’re celebrating Bungie Day!

This week we’re all about those good vibes. Bungie Day is our chance to celebrate our community and some of the ways you have put out as much good into the world as possible. From the story about the wildly popular puppers emote that made its debut a couple of weeks ago, to some of the most hilariously “bad” cosplays we’ve ever seen, this week is a breather. So, sit back, kick those (clean, please) shoes up, and enjoy the ride. Let’s get into it.

This week at Bungie, we are getting ready for Grandmaster Nightfalls.

This year, and this Season, has been flying by. We hope that you can find moments of peace in your world this week, and do not forget we have a bunch of mental health resources here just in case things are feeling a little too heavy. We listed this last week as well, but your mental health is important Guardians, so another reminder never hurts.

This week is another light week for the TWAB, but we will be talking about the midseason weapons preview, Prime Gaming Drops, a fun final message (for this month!) from the Pride Strike Team, and a quick reminder that Grandmaster Nightfalls are starting up next week!
