Think that this is it? It's not! We have awesome news for our fans that own PlayStation version of Biped or the ones that friends that own one: now you can play together. All the PlayStation players received an update today that allows cross-platform play between them and PC players. Please note that you need to own PS Plus subscription for online play to work.

Also, we are working on bringing you a cross-play with the Xbox version in April. An announcement will come later.

We’ve launched a new update aimed to fix common issues with checkpoints.

Fixed:

• - Some of you have marked issues with the checkpoint save (it didn’t work correctly) and that you were not able to load the game. These issues have been fixed.
  
• - The localization fixes for the online COOP rooms and for the Steam Workshop.
  
• If the some of the issues still persist, please tell us in the comment section below.

In Biped, you and a friend play as either Aku or Sila, two cute robots making their way through various colorful environments; lush forests, scorched deserts and icy mountains on a quest to activate some very important beacons. You use your controller's analog sticks (or mouse clicks) to control your robot’s two legs, and there’s not much else to worry about in terms of movement.



But these deceivingly simple controls are actually pretty challenging to master, and some of the more complex puzzles require perfect coordination if you’re racing against the clock.

Each level comes with several unique challenges that you need to solve if you want to advance further. Many of Biped’s puzzles center around gravity: huge spinning cylinders that you need to cross as they spin, unstable platforms that fall apart if both ends aren’t equally weighted, boxes that need to be passed on carefully, and other crazy stuff.

To beat the game's hardest levels, you need to be aware of your surroundings and communicate even the tiniest of maneuvers with your partner. Some platforms can only hold so much weight, so you need to coordinate your steps as closely as possible.

You’ll have to pull levers, balance on shaky tiles, and use ropes to swing through the air as you familiarize yourself with the robots’ sound of defeat when they fall to their doom—and you mess up your perfect score. And for the completionists, enjoy the challenge of timed coin-collection trials every now and then.

Speaking of perfect scores—Biped won’t make things easy for you. You might have reached the beacon and unlocked the next stage, but that doesn’t mean you’ve beaten the level. To make that claim, you’ll have to keep your deaths to a minimum of three, complete the stage in under four minutes, and collect all the shiny stars, some of which are very well hidden. The philosophy is simple; casual gameplay with skills to master for those who demand a challenge!

Biped’s levels come in two almost entirely different versions. The first is designed for two players, and the second is built with solo play in mind. And although you can, technically, complete quite a bit of content solo, you’ll likely have a lot more fun if you invite a friend to play with you. With Steam Remote Play, you can share a unique link and ask them to join the action even if they don’t own the game.



If you’re a perfectionist, you’ll likely spend quite some time revisiting levels after completing the main story. To unlock all of Biped’s cool hats and glasses, you’ll have to make an effort to collect all the gold coins you’ll find scattered across the world. If your goal is to earn all 15 achievements, well, make sure your controllers are fully charged.

If you’re feeling particularly creative, you can also try designing your own levels by arranging many of the game’s existing assets with the new level editor.

We are happy to announce a new update for Biped Online COOP. You have asked us to add a possibility for players from different countries to play together and we have added it.



Now you could choose a region at the online COOP and play together at one region. Isn’t it fun?



Unfortunately, such option is not available for China due to the Great Chinese Firewall. Fortunately, there are good news there as well: we have added Chinese – only server and now Chinese players won’t have any issues with Online COOP. We are sorry it took us so long to fix it but we made it at the end.

And last but not the least - a small reminder: Level Editor is available at the game and thanks to our awesome community there is a number of new levels there. Don’t hesitate to try it out now and vote there.

Our friends from 1M Bits Horde just released their ambitious life-sim RPG Spirit of the Island in Early Access!



Spirit of the Island is a colorful coop life-sim RPG set on a tropical Archipelago. Build your farm, grow crops and animals, craft various items, cook exquisite dishes, gather resources, build shops and museums to attract visitors, and turn a desolate Island into a prosperous tourist destination!
It's a very chill and relaxing game, very similar to Biped in that aspect. But the best thing is that Spirit of the Island has a 2-player coop mode, where you will have all single-player mode features available in online play. It also has its own unique story, so your single player and coop experiences will be different!



The devs have published a very promising roadmap, where you can track when which feature is set to arrive.

SOTI is currently running a 10% launch discount campaign, which will last for 7 days. If you are curious, you can try the demo version of the game before making your decision.

You were waiting patiently for another update that would fix the issues with the connection. And we made it! Now you will have a way better ping during online play and you will be able to play with your friends at your region via a matchmaking tool.

Achievements issues are fixed now and you will get it when you start playing the game.

Please, note, that if you have played an old version of the game (before February 2022) then you need to copy-paste your old save files to the new folder:
1) Please, opened the folder: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/PostmetaGamesLimited/Biped
at your local PC.
2) Open the folder:
%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/NExTStudios/Biped
Copy-paste all the files from the 2-nd folder to the first one and launch the game. It should solve your save files problem.

Also, we will leave the previous version (better ping) live if you want to keep playing it and do not need Level Editor or an online matchmaking tool. You could find the instructions on how to switch to the old version below:
