In two days (December 13th) we'll be launching the full version of Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine. Time is ticking away and we continue to slog through the game, staying awake for the second night in a row. Today we have a short story that is sure to tug at your heartstrings (or stomach, if you're sipping vodka like us) and make you want to pick up Booze on release day.



You've already had the chance to meet the frosty bastard from the motel, but now you'll find out what his life was like before he became a ruthless dick. Everything happens for a reason. It all started to go to shit one spring when Zero-Karoten was just a two-ball snowman and his carrot resembled a peanut. One day, his father went out to get some milk and didn't come back. This would have been nothing unusual, but shortly afterward his mother fell ill with a fever and melted in front of him, leaving Zero-Karoten an orphan.

A teenage, life-damaged Zero-Karoten decides to make his dreams come true and tries out for the role of the snowman in the films Frozen and Tabaluga, but, hell, even with snow magic on his side and a life story from the Got Talent or Top Model lineage, he lost out to other actors dressed as snowmen. What a load of crap. It doesn't take long for him to descend into alcoholism and move up the hill, where he opens the shabby motel "La Sorpresa".

As the years pass, the snowman becomes increasingly bizarre, drowning his daily sorrows in vodka and cursing his life as a miserable martyr. Then, in the motel "La Sorpresa", Jerry and Doctor Professor appear, who seem to be able to change his life. Here a thought is born - he must get the coldest vodka in the world no matter what. Not to drink it (although he probably does), but to be able to leave this boarded-up hole and start a new life somewhere else.

That's how the character of our weird snowman, Zero-Karoten, was born. We'll see you tomorrow in the final devlog before the release of Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine. Stay tuned.

In the meantime, we thought we'd give you a little inside scoop so you can get the vibe if you're not already feeling it. And if you think your day is fucked, listen to this. You won't be able to beat us unless you've been abducted by aliens or your old man has come back from the milk run. Time for another Dev's diary story.

Some people do yoga sessions, others do photo shoots. We, on the other hand, decided to fuck up our day and brainstormed. We were sitting in our dingy canteen at a table covered with papers and empty beer bottles. Suddenly one of us, a programmer known for his penchant for crazy ideas and improvisation, stood up and said: Let's put UFO in here. And so it was settled. The bus driver stood up, started clapping, and then drank a shot, that's all.

This is more or less how most ideas for the game come about. Out of the fucking blue. You're supposed to like it. We'll see you at the launch in three days. Bye.

Just one week stands between us and the full release of Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine. It's like anticipating the latest crap phone under the Christmas tree. From us, you'll get at best a beaten-up Nokia, but with that, you were able to crack open a cold one, break your friend's nose, and impress the daughter of your mom's friend. Anyway, the premiere is on December 13th, so don't gulp down your entire paycheck right away; stash some cash for a rainy day. In the meantime, chill out, and check out the trailer.


While everyone around is all about the sweet, farting magic of the holidays, we're getting zero sleep, coffee is flowing like rivers, and there's some yelling in our headphones. But to avoid complaints that the whole Asmodev is devils and incarnate Satan, we've added a few holiday goodies to the game because, despite everything, December is a beautiful, wonderful, resurrected time, and everyone is pooping rainbows.



Quoting a psychic, black-haired girl from the well, from the movie Ring: "You will die in 7 days." We don't know if it's from laughter, a nervous breakdown, or a mighty hangover, but it will probably be caused by playing the full version of Booze. All that's left for us is to wish you good luck. The release of Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine is just around the corner, and today we enter the secret world of moonshine making and our secret mechanics. The information contained herein may prove essential to your survival in the winter motel 'La Sorpresa', but we recommend that you consult a psychiatrist or pharmacist before you begin, as improperly prepared alcohol can risk a massive hangover or death. Take notes and be prepared for a dose of mystical moonshine knowledge from Jerry's basement.



Making moonshine is not difficult. Of course, if we're talking about the usual piss you can find in any liquor store, but here we're making vodka out of frozen cacti. What can go wrong? Well, just about anything.

Let's start at the beginning. You can't make something out of nothing, so let's start by gathering the right plants to make a drink with divine properties. It will please more than one drunkard outside the shop. You can find the seedlings near the motel, but it's a bit of a walk, really.... Who planted them?



Once you've dug up some herbs with your shovel, the fun begins. In Jerry's moonshine workshop, you have a whole range of messed-up equipment at your disposal. Pick a recipe from the board and follow the instructions - just don't get the proportions wrong or it'll all go to trash.

We start by placing the jug under the crusher, into which we place the appropriate amount of pre-harvested crops, then turn the crank and the magic happens. Once we've processed our ingredients, it's time to strain them and move the jug to the fermentation stand.



This is the moment to add the yeast and other ingredients. Switch on the fermenter and you're done! Just kidding. Now comes the hardest part. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge and keep it in the right position or your whole elaborate plan will be in tatters.



If by some miracle you make it this far, congratulations on your success. Go ahead, bottle your life's work, and brag about it on Insta for a few likes.



The full version of the game will be released on December 13, allowing you to try your hand at creating a variety of spirits. We hope you find this insight into the secrets of moonshine making more interesting than the evening news on TV. Add the game to your wishlist and stay tuned.

We have some bad news. After the release of the Booze demo we got a bit carried away. We got terribly drunk and partied until five in the morning. The film dropped us in the subway and now the cross is collapsing. We got some sleep and in the morning we realised how much more work we had to do. So it is with sadness that we announce that you will have to wait a little longer for the full version of Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine. For how long? Until 13 December, not so long at all. We don't want to give you an average game, but one that will blow your mind and keep you coming back for more, like an alcoholic after a failed rehab. We apologise for the slight delay and promise to improve - you know us, after all. To make up for it, we have prepared a new teaser for you. We hope it will sweeten the vodka-bitter news for you.


Now for the good news - the demo will still be available on Steam until 13th November, so if you haven't had a chance to play it yet, don't waste your time. You told us you enjoyed the demo, so we're raising the bar to make the full version even more fun.

Ingredients:

• 1 liter of spirit (don't ask where we got it!).
  
• The zest of one lemon (before you forget we added it).
  
• 1 vanilla stick or not - you don't need it.
  
• Ice cubes, it's supposed to freeze you.
  
• Add mint leaves, just for a fancy look.

1. Pour the spirit into the jug (not down the throat) in one go.
   
2. Add lemon zest, it's your dose of vitamin C.
   
3. Set the mixture aside for a few hours, but take it out of the jar once in a while and shake to mix the flavors.
   
4. In the meantime, you can play Booze Masters: Freezing Moonshine.
   
5. Serve drinks to yourself and work colleagues (don't drink at work).
   
6. Enjoy.

Ingredients:

• 1 bottle of vodka (750 ml).
  
• 1 or 2 packs of Skittles (approximately 200-400 g).

Instructions:

1. Place Skittles in a bottle of vodka (up to the rim) and shake vigorously.
   
2. Wait a few hours, days, or years - it all depends on how much free time you have in your life. Once the sweets have dissolved, that's half the battle.
   
3. Strain the vodka and remove any remaining Skittles. (You can try to eat them, but we don't recommend it).
   
4. The Skittletin is ready! You can serve it in glasses or straight from the bottle.
