With all that said, on with the show!
If you prefer to read the text-only changelog, click the link below to check it out!
(You will need the latest dedicated server if that is how you play multiplayer - click the link above to download, and the latest version is always located at the bottom of https://terraria.org/)
Terraria has always been a game where the player is constantly shifting roles - Dig, Fight, Build is the tagline, after all! Previously, this meant a lot of shifting around of gear sets and the like... but with Labor of Love, players will at long last have access to a set of three gear loadouts! This will allow players to create different gear setups ahead of time and seamlessly swap between them as needed.
EVOLVED VOID BAG
For those of you who aren't already familiar with the current version of the Void Bag, it is a portable personal storage container similar to the Money Trough. Uniquely, it also has the ability to automatically pick up any extra items whenever your inventory is full. However, we have added expanded functionality to the Void Bag to further enhance its role as a supplementary inventory.
For starters, the Void Bag can now be opened or closed with Right Click. When in the Closed state, it will deactivate its ability to pick up extra items, and act just like second Money Trough. When in the Opened state, however, a variety of new functionality becomes available!
Any crafting materials kept within the Void Bag will be available for any crafting recipes! You will not have to directly access the storage, or summon the portal, to be able to immediately craft with anything inside of the Void Bag!
Healing, Mana, and Buff Potions stored in the Void Bag can be used directly via their respective Quick Hotkeys. You can store all of your favorite buff potions in the Void Bag and simply refresh at any time! Mana Flower auto-potion functionality will work with the Void Bag as well! Enterprising players might keep some core buff potions in their regular inventory, with a secondary set of specialized buff potions in the bag. Depending on which mode the Void Bag is in, this will allow players to effectively hold two different potion "loadouts" at a time!
You can now Favorite items stored within the Void Bag. This has been added because you can ALSO Quick Stack to Nearby Chests anything inside of your Opened Void Bag. Favorite the things you want to keep, and then use Quick Stack for faster chest sorting!
Using Loot All on a chest with a full or nearly full inventory will deposit any overflow directly into the Void Bag
There are a number of other items which will function automatically when placed in a Open Void Bag, as they would when in the player's inventory, including:
Info Accessories
Paint Sprayer, Presserator, and any accessories that grant Wire, Actuator, or Ruler vision when in the inventory
The Guide to Critter Companionship
Keys stored in the bag can be used to open Chests
Wormhole Potions
INVENTORY IMPROVEMENTS
Most stackable items have had their max limit increased to 9999!
That's right folks, you can once again place any accessory in your social slots.
To help you keep track of what is going into which chest, Quick Stack to Nearby Chests now has a visual effect, showing the items which are being quick stacked moving towards the chests.
KEEP COUNT WITH NUMERICAL HEALTH BARS
No longer wonder how much health you have left - even on the fancier health bars! (Toggle this on/off in settings)
Having to hover over the boss to see just how close you are to defeating it is a thing of the past!
ROPE INTERACTION IMPROVEMENTS
Rope has always been a useful tool since it was added to Terraria, but it has never really played nice with other handy exploration tools such as minecart tracks and platforms. Labor of Love fixes up that little problem - ropes, cart tracks, and platforms... living together... mass hysteria!
This is just a small sampling of the Quality of Life improvements we have made in Terraria: Labor of Love! Be sure to dive into the full changelog for all of the juicy details!
You ever wonder what would happen if you took every seed in the game - including the new ones from Labor of Love - mashed them together, and then spent the extra time to playtest this new seed and polish it until it is "just right". Oh, and then for good measure, you tossed in a few features and dynamics unique to that seed?
Wonder no more, for the Zenith Seed is here! We consider this to be the true Magnum Opus of Terraria World Seeds - a version of Terraria that is equal parts unique to play and a whole new level of challenge for the most hardened Terrarians. Take on this seed only if you dare, for it may truly break you - Get Fixed Boi!
DON'T DIG UP - THE REMIX SEED
An idea first discussed during the release of Journey's End, Don't Dig Up turns the world of Terraria upside down - literally! The player will begin their adventure in the depths of the underworld, complete with all new flora to help provide early resources.
As the player ascends into "The Up", however, the threats will magnify exponentially until they reach the Surface - a truly horrifying and inhospitable place that will test the mettle of even the most seasoned Terrarian. Rethink everything you know, but Don't Dig Up unless you are prepared for what comes next!
NO TRAPS - THE NO TRAPS SEED
You know what is the worst? When you are out exploring in the world of Terraria and you get blown up by an explosive trap... or even worse, squashed by a nasty boulder! Well, the team wanted to make a World Seed that was designed with Terrarians who really hate traps in mind.
IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING WORLD SEEDS
In developing the three new World Seeds for Labor of Love, the team gained some new insights into how to really make world seeds feel special. Thus, we took the extra time to revisit some of our existing seeds in order to spruce them up a bit. For some seeds, these changes are relatively minor. However, the Celebration Mk 10 and For the Worthy seeds have seen some pretty substantial tweaks. Regardless, it is very much worth it for Terrarians to check out all of the existing World Seeds once again with these new changes in place!
Of course, this is just scratching the surface for all there is to know about World Seeds in Labor of Love - be sure to check out the full changelog linked below for all of the details!
Slimes are widely considered to be non-sentient beings: mindless blobs of gel that aimlessly bounce about throughout the world of Terraria. Recently however, Terrarian Slimeologists have discovered what appears to be a new evolution in slime kind... some sort of big, blobby, smart slimes. Well, smart by slime standards at least.
The denizens of Terraria have dubbed these new creatures "Town Slimes", for their penchant to attempt to dress up and try to fit in with Terrarian society. Thus far, the discovered variants include:
Cool Slime - The backwards hat is a clear giveaway that this is one hip slime indeed
Clumsy Slime - No one is quite sure how that arrow got stuck in his head, but he seems to like it...
Surly Slime - This guy has a bad attitude and keeps running afoul of the law
Nerdy Slime - Clearly smarter than all other slimes, as evidenced by the glasses
Elder Slime - Back in his day, you had to jump over single block tall heights and you had to dig up blocks before replacing them
Diva Slime - Yes, even slimes have celebrities... and yes she is better than you
Mystic Slime - This slime is in touch with the natural energies that flow throughout Terraria
Squire Slime - Ready to defend the kingdom from all threats, wielding the most powerful weapon known to Slimekind
This cast of characters is packed with personality, and players who are brave and clever enough to seek them out during their adventures will have the chance to have all eight Town Slimes move in to their towns/bases! Best of luck on your search for the Town Slimes - gotta catch 'em all!
NEW USEFUL ITEMS TO AID YOUR ADVENTURES
You used to call me on the Cellphone, but now that Labor of Love is here, all the cool kids are using the Shellphone! This handy device allows you to choose the destination of the magic mirror function - Initial Spawn, Home (Bed), Ocean, or Underworld!
Terraformer - we have taken the Clentaminator and made it stronger, faster, better. We have the technology!
Lilith's Necklace will allow you to transform into a wolf during your adventures - because who doesn't want to channel their inner wolf!?
NEW BLOCKS AND DECOR
What Terraria update would be complete without some fancy new decorations and blocks to spruce up your bases, arenas, and more! Here are a few fun examples:
Reef Blocks and Coral Furniture
Brand New Paintings - Designed by the Team, Testers, and Community
A Blast from the Past - Ancient Blocks Relive the Early Days of Terraria!
Have You Ever Wanted to Place Heart & Mana Crystals as Decorations? Sure you have!
NEW BUILDER TOOLS
On top of providing all new blocks and furniture for our builder friends, the team has added two new Terraria building tools that we think will really help you take your Terraria creations to the next level!
Hand of Creation - A New Tinker that will Make Building Easier than Ever!
Rubblemaker - At Long Last, the Fun Worldgen-based Stuff is at your Fingertips!
Check out these videos by Khaios and CheesyPaninie for full details - they do a better job showing these off than words could ever do!
ECHO AND ILLUMINANT COATINGS
New Coatings provide players with all new ways to design cool base/town effects and even more diabolical adventure maps!
Echo Coating, combined with the Echo Monolith lets you make things disappear! Now you see it, now you don't!
To help you really see the potential that Coatings can provide, Khaios and CheesyPaninie put together the video above - definitely give this a watch!
Of course, this is just a sampling of what we have added in Labor of Love - be sure to check out the full changelog linked below for all of the details!
The Melee "Class" has always had a bit of a reputation for being underwhelming and a bit of a struggle to use - particularly against very mobile foes. No, Zenith does not count - that is an endgame weapon that is devastating to use regardless of what "class" one wishes to place it.
Taking the dynamics of defense, damage done, mobility, etc. all into account, it was clear that the entire class needed a closer look to make the risk more worth the rewards when playing Melee. What all does this entail? We will not cover everything here, but this should give a good sense for our approach.
GLOBAL WEAPON TWEAKS
All broadsword-class melee weapons (this also includes pickaxes, axes, hammers, and hamaxes) now use local immunity frames on hit. Very notably, this means that projectile swords will no longer block their own piercing projectiles from hitting a target at point blank range. It will also result in more consistent hitting when mixing multiple sources of damage (Piercing minions and swords, for example)
Knockback when spinning flails has been increased from 25% to 35% of normal knockback Spinning flails now hit up to 4 times a second instead of 3 times a second. Flails which already hit 4 times a second have been increased to 5 times a second.
---
MELEE WEAPON STAT BUFFS
Many Melee Weapons have seen numerical improvements in raw damage, use time, reach, etc. Coupled with the global changes that impact how projectiles and "direct" hits coexist (eg. no longer conflicting with each other), this results in a substantial increase in DPS and utility for previously underwhelming Melee Weapons.
---
WEAPON REWORKS
Even with the changes listed above, some Melee Weapons felt like they needed a more significant reworking - visually, functionally, or both. Let's dive into a few examples, shall we?
Dark Lance - Now generates a shockwave at the end of the spear, which increases its effective range. This shockwave also scales in size with melee speed, so you can now expect more pronounced Melee Speed benefits for Dark Lance. Now inflicts Shadowflame as well.
Light Disc - now a single item, not 5 stacked items. As a result, it can now have prefixes. Players can now shoot up to 6 Discs at once instead of 5. Oh, and a cool new light trail effect.
Horseman's Blade - Now has an area of damaging energy around the blade, dealing damage in a larger, wider area of effect, including better coverage behind the player.
---
NIGHT'S EDGE/TERRA BLADE SWORD QUEST LINE
We felt that the Terra Blade "quest" that begins with Night's Edge in pre-Hardmode, continuing into Hardmode, culminating in players crafting the Terra Blade - really needed to feel a bit more important and meaningful to players who chose to take it on. As a result, Night's Edge and Terra Blade have seen a rework - as have each of their components! We have highlighted a few below... but the rest, we leave up to you to discover.
Blood Butcherer - Every successful strike on an enemy now applies a stack of "Blood Butchered", a short lived damage over time effect. Each of these stacks are signified by a gout of blood spouting forth from the enemy.
Volcano - Fiery Greatsword evolved into Volcano! Upon striking an enemy, Volcano will generate an fiery explosive area of effect, dealing additional damage to the original target and nearby enemies!
True Excalibur - True Excalibur now has a very large area of damaging energy around the blade, dealing damage in a dramatically wider area of effect, including better coverage behind the player. It no longer fires a projectile sword beam
BOSS TWEAKS
We have given several bosses a once-over during Labor of Love, so you will want to check out the full changelog for all of the juicy details. You don't want to be caught unawares, after all! That being said, we did want to highlight two bosses that have perhaps seen the most changes. As a result, we expect that players will find them to be a bit more challenging!
GOLEM What Terraria Balance Update would be complete without a buff to Golem? Continually seen as one of the easiest bosses in all of Terraria, the Golem fight needed more love from the team. What has changed? Take him on and find out!
DUKE FISHRON The Duke was once seen as one of the better boss fights in all of Terraria. He is still a solid experience, but we felt like he could use a bit of tweaking in order to help him return to a more prominent challenge that is worthy of how the game has evolved since his introduction. Head to the Ocean and fish him up in order to experience a fresh fight!
PUMPKIN MOON OVERHAUL
Let's face it, the good old Pumpkin Moon was starting to show its age a bit. Once considered a challenge event, it has been relegated to the role of niche side content that doesn't really stand up to the skills and gear of the modern Terrarian. Well, fret not, Pumpkin Moon fans! We have reworked the Pumpkin Moon in order to bring it in line with other events of that same tier, such as the Frost Moon. What exactly did we change?
Pumpkin Moon is now a full 20 Wave event rather than its previous 15 Waves
Pumpkin Moon Enemies received some buffs, and the composition of each wave has changed...
The insane boss spam typical of the later waves of Pumpkin Moon has been cut back tremendously - this will not only challenge the player to play more optimally to rack up high scores, but will also likely put less strain on everyone's hardware.
Labor of Love has way too many balance tweaks to be able to cover them off here - be sure to check out the full changelog linked below for all of the details!
So, there you have it Terrarians. Our Love Letter to you. Terraria has been our Labor of Love for many years, and we hope that each of you have felt that come through in each update, in our interactions with you, and in the joy we have all received from playing this game over the years. Here's to Terraria, the Community, and many more fun times ahead!
We are back again - this time with the juicy details around the release of Issue 3 of the Terraria Graphic Novel Series! Issue 3 is all about the journey and getting to know some of our party of heroes a bit better - just as our friends are doing the same as they enjoy a quick meal while camped out at an oasis. In case you missed our earlier announcement about the series as a whole, you can check out those details HERE, and you can still get your orders in for the initial shipment of Issue Two for a little bit longer (details below - but don't fret if you miss the first shipment or if you missed out on Issue One, see the note below). Our team is once again thrilled with the packages that 50 Amp Productions has put together in support of the Graphic Novel rollout - and we hope you will feel the same way!
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM 50 AMP PRODUCTIONS
There seems to be a little confusion regarding the ordering window and our “cut-off date.” So we wanted to offer a little clarification.
The term, “cut-off,” does not mean that after that date, you will not be able to place an order. We intend for these items to remain available well after those dates. The ordering window is to ensure that we have your item in-stock and ready to ship during our initial shipping windows. Should we sell out, you will still be able to get the items, but there will likely be a delay as we must reorder at the manufacturers.
As shipping has not yet begun for issue 1&2 boxes, if you see the reveal of the issue 3 items and would like to amend your order, please email us at info@50ampproductions.com and we will be happy to help you. It is very important to us that fans are satisfied and are able to ensure their orders are complete and correct.
We also wanted to take a moment to thank you all for supporting this project. We consider ourselves lucky to work with Re-Logic on this and to be able to offer these books and collectibles to you, the fans. We will be throwing some fun extra goodies into every order from Copper to Platinum as a thank you. Now, on to the details!
As a reminder, we are planning to roll out Issues 1-4 (Book One) over the next few months, followed by a full Book One release to book sellers/retailers as well as available online some time in Q1 2023. Book One will contain all of the first four issues along with a few other goodies (still TBD, but think concept art and other "making of" work, stuff like that). All orders can be placed on the 50 Amp Productions Website - click the cover above to check it out!
Issue One orders start today, but here is the overall expected timeline:
TERRARIA GRAPHIC NOVEL ISSUES 1-4 ORDER WINDOWS

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS UPDATE
Speaking of shipping, we know our international fans have sometimes run into some very high shipping costs (these are strictly pass-through costs based on whatever the shipping company is charging 50 Amp). We have been chasing down a variety of solutions to help bring these costs down, and we can at long last announce that we have found a way.
We have entered into a partnership which will allow us to offer another shipping option for our non-American customers. The short version is that by shipping international orders from our partner's European hub rather than our US-based warehouses, there is a good chance that we can cut all non-US shipping costs - often substantially.
Starting with our second issue on, we can provide this option to you! In addition, for Issues 2, 3, 4, and for our bundles - if you have already placed an order, we will be looking to see if this new option will save you money. If it will/does, we will be refunding the difference to the method of payment you used to make the purchase. Please be patient with us on this, as it could take us several days to process all of this, as we have to do the differences in shipping costs and refunds by hand. We will contact you afterwards if you should expect to see a refund.
Unfortunately, because we have already placed our orders with our manufacturers for issue 1 and the materials are all already at or en route to our American warehouse, we will have to utilize the initial shipping methods and costs - so we sadly cannot offer this option for issue 1.
We feel like this will allow us to help a lot of you save money, so we are very glad that we could find a way to make this happen, and we are SUPER appreciative of our partner in helping to make this a reality. Once we have this good and established, we should have this in place as our solution in the future.
Thank you for your patience and we apologize that the solution took a little bit to lock down!
TERRARIA GRAPHIC NOVEL: ISSUE 2 ORDERS STILL OPEN
We are still taking orders for the initial shipment of the second issue of the Terraria Graphic Novel. In case you missed the news or you just decided after seeing Issue Two's cover that you are all in, we have you covered.
Check out the details around Issue Two by clicking the banner below!
TERRARIA GRAPHIC NOVEL: ISSUE 3 PACKAGES
We hope you have enjoyed seeing the packages for Issues One and Two, and we are back again with a variety of packages for Issue Three that we think provides something for everyone. If you just want Issue 3 and that's it, we have that for you - or if you want to delve deeper and pick up some really cool Terraria collectibles, that is available as well. As we rapidly approach the launch of Terraria: Labor of Love, we hope that you are as excited as we are about what is to come! Terrarian Builders everywhere are going to need to see this, because it’s going to change building in Terraria forever!
AN EARLY LOOK AT COATINGS IN TERRARIA: LABOR OF LOVE
Taking things a step further, we asked CheesyPaninie and Khaios to collaborate and show everyone the new Coating mechanic that will be coming your way in the Labor of Love update! This has been spoiled previously, but today we will be giving you the first in-depth look at all Coatings have to offer!
UNIQUE USES OF THE RUBBLEMAKER IN BUILDING

We are finally ready to reveal the details for the second issue of the Terraria Graphic Novel Series! Our story starts to ramp up in this issue, as you can probably tell by the cover art shown below! In case you missed our earlier announcement about the series as a whole, you can check out those details HERE, and you can still get your orders in for the initial shipment of Issue One for a little bit longer (details below, but don't fret if you miss the window, check out the note from 50 Amp Productions below!).
As shipping has not yet begun for issue 1 boxes, if you see the reveal of the issue 2 items and would like to amend your order, please email us at info@50ampproductions.com and we will be happy to help you.

EXPECTED SHIPPING TIMING FOR ORDERS

We do not expect to run into any delivery issues, but there is always the potential for issues beyond our control. 50 Amp Productions are committed to communicating with the fans if any issue arises.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING COSTS UPDATE
Speaking of shipping, we know our international fans have sometimes run into some very high shipping costs (these are strictly pass-through costs based on whatever the shipping company is charging 50 Amp). We are happy to share that the Re-Logic and 50 Amp teams have been chasing solutions to this over the past month, and we think we are getting close to a solution to lower those costs. We plan to refund the difference for anyone that paid more than the new costs once we have them in hand. We will email you if you are one of those folks once it all comes through.

Alas, Summer is drawing to a close. Back to School, work, or just whatever your daily grind may be - we hope your Summer was a fun and relaxing one! As we head into the Fall - probably our favorite season - the development teams are making huge strides towards getting the Labor of Love update into your hands. This is a State of the Game that you will not want to miss, because we are at long last going to be able to dive into some details around the launch of this fantastic Terraria update. So, sit down, buckle up, and let's get this month's SOTG underway!
PC - RE-LOGIC
TERRARIA - LABOR OF LOVE UPDATE
The Re-Logic team is proud to reveal that we have completed our work on the Labor of Love update, and that we have officially reached code freeze on the PC side! That means that while we may still be looking at bugfixes and tweaks for anything that we might find between now and launch, we are not adding anything new to the game/code any more in order to allow time for our friends at DR Studios to finish their work on porting to Console and Mobile. Why not just go ahead and release it if we are "done", you say? Well, beyond the aforementioned continued - and needed - testing and fixing...
It is our intention to make this the first simultaneous Terraria update release across all platforms. That means that if all goes to plan, Terraria: Labor of Love will release on PC, Console, and Mobile at the same time!
Barring any issues or delays in first party (Sony, Nintendo, etc) submissions, we expect Labor of Love to release in late September.
So there you have it - pretty big news, eh? We are so excited for the chance to do a simultaneous release to everyone all at once - a daunting task, but one that we cannot wait to attempt. Perhaps a glimpse at how things will be in the possible future where crossplay is a thing.
While we are on the subject of Labor of Love, ChippyGaming produced a nice summary video of all of the spoilers for this update thus far - it is definitely worth a watch to catch up in case you missed anything!
Click the banner above to check out the Terraria Workshop!
With over 62,000 packs and worlds so far, you are missing out if you haven't taken the time to check out the Workshop yet. Planning on another round of Developer's Choice soon - so get your best and brightest up on the Workshop now!
Once Labor of Love hits, expect even more summer cleaning to come your way.
WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?
Right now, our core focus is the final push to get Labor of Love done to what we have as the vision for the update. We will be revisiting "what's next" once we get this update out and any needed hotfixes, etc.
TMODLOADER NEWS - TML TEAM
Hello everyone!
Another month, even more bugfixes for tModLoader 1.4! Generally speaking, the team has spent at least half of its time on bug fixes with another eye (and half our time) looking towards the setup for delivery of future major improvements. Want some examples? Of course you do!
Started work on improved dedicated server utilities & multiplayer stability
Began working on improved GoG and Steam Family Share compatibility
Work is underway on an improved Mod Browser experience
So, all in all, sort of a quieter month (but with lots going on) focused around 'what are the next big areas where we can improve tML 1.4' now that we have gotten a better grip on release cycles and minimizing the impacts on users.
TMODLOADER STEAM WORKSHOP
The TML Steam Workshop is already up to over 2,200 mods in just one short month. Coupled with the in-game mod browser, the TML Steam Workshop is a great way to explore what modded Terraria has to offer - check it out today by clicking the banner above!
TMODLOADER 1.3 STILL AVAILABLE
As a continued reminder, the developers behind each individual Terraria mod will need to update their mods to the 1.4 era, so hang with them while that process takes place. We also realize that some older mods that are no longer in development may never make the leap to the 1.4 era. Given that, we have kept the 1.3.5 version of TML playable
How do I switch to back to 1.3 tModLoader?
1. Right click on tModLoader in Steam and select 'Properties...', then 'BETAS'; 2. Select '1.3-legacy' in the drop-down menu on top; 3. Close the window. You don't need to type any passwords!
WHAT'S NEXT FOR TML?
More fixes, more behind the scenes work on the improvements we mentioned above - more details to come as we know more and get further down the road!
As always, you can keep track the current progress and such more in real time at tModLoader/tModLoader (But note that the completion percentage doesn't mean anything, because issues and PRs don't have weights.)
PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo Switch, Mobile - DR STUDIOS
The team at DR Studios has been doing all that we can to keep pace with the PC side of Labor of Love so that once Re-Logic finished development, we could pick up the baton and move quickly towards completing development on Console and Mobile so that we would be ready for submissions as quickly as possible. As shared in the PC section above (since we know some Console/Mobile Terrarians may just skip to this section)...
Don't think that we forgot a spoiler or two for you folks either...
Until next time, Console & Mobile friends - thanks for all of your love and support!
Thanks as always for the honor and trust you give us each month to work on Terraria - it is not a responsibility that we take lightly, and we look forward to bringing more amazing things to you all as we move forward.

GUILDS FOR HOPE CHARITY FUNDRAISER - FINAL WEEK!
There is only one week left to participate in our Guilds for Hope charity event. We have already helped raise thousands of dollars for an incredible cause and we are closing in on our goal!
The Terraria team is thrilled to be participating in the United Servers of Discord Alliance’s first Guilds For Hope charity fundraiser! We’re teaming up with many other communities to raise money for Give Kids The World Village, an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides critically ill children and their families from around the world with magical week-long wish vacations at no cost.
Watch this video to learn more about the Guilds for Hope charity event.
Half of all critically ill children eligible for a wish choose to visit Central Florida and its world-famous theme parks. Give Kids The World is the nonprofit that fulfills all of these wishes. – providing every wish family with an all-inclusive experience including transportation, accommodations, all meals and snacks, donated theme park tickets, and more!
Together, let's try and raise as much money as possible to help support GKTW. Once you open the Team Fundraiser link below, you can either donate to the Terraria team goal, or you can register as a fundraiser for a team. By registering as a fundraiser, you will be able to unlock reward tiers by reaching designated milestone thresholds including the top fundraiser winning a 3 day, 2 night stay in Orlando at the Melia Orlando Celebration Hotel (certificate valid for up to one year) and a tour of Give Kids The World Village; and by contributing to our team, you’ll be able to help us compete for the ultimate goal- bragging rights!
We invite everyone to help bring hope and join this charity event by registering at this link: Tiltify - Made for Fundraisers
We are thrilled to announce that we are planning to create a Terraria parkour game show live on Twitch. Full details will be announced once everything is finalized, but the plan is to bring contestants live on stream to compete against each other to see who can get the furthest on challenging parkour builds. Winners will receive cool prizes.
If this sounds like an exciting community initiative for you then reach out to MrGameTheory, the Terraria community manager at 505 Games, and let him know if you have any interest in competing, helping to create the parkour maps, or participating in his community initiative in some way. You can reach him within the official Terraria Discord server.
Until next time, Terrarians - we hope you have an amazing month, and we look forward to bringing you the latest and greatest next time!
The day is finally here - orders for the first Issue of Book One of the Terraria Graphic Novel Series are now open! In case you missed our earlier announcement about the series as a whole, you can check out those details HERE. The team at Re-Logic in conjunction with our partners at 50 Amp Productions is very excited to be able to roll out the first part of Book One at long last to all of you. The 50 Amp team has also gone above and beyond the Graphic Novel itself and put together a few additional collectibles that fans can pick up as well should you feel so inclined.
With all that said, let's dive right in to how it will all work, what is available and when, etc. shall we?
Overall, the plan is to roll out Issues 1-4 (Book One) over the next few months, followed by a full Book One release to book sellers/retailers as well as available online some time in Q1 2023. Summer is nearly over already?! My how the time flies when you are having fun - which we certainly hope has been the case for all of you out there! We have been having a TON of fun during the development of the Labor of Love update. Reading fan ideas, brainstorming other cool new stuff internally, seeing where the creativity takes us: it has been a real blast. That said, we can definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel. So, let's dive right into the late-summer State of the Game news shall we?
PC - RE-LOGIC
TERRARIA - LABOR OF LOVE UPDATE
Labor of Love has reached a point where we feel like the end of development is extremely close. We have been whittling down our bugs and tasks lists while also taking on a solid handful of cool ideas that you all have shared with us on the forums, social media, Discord, and more. Hopefully, you have been keeping up with the spoilery tidbits we have been sharing along the way. Still no exact date to give you just yet (though it is starting to come into focus)
That said, you came here for the latest and greatest, right? We would hate to disappoint you, so here it goes...
THE VOID BAG HAS EVOLVED!
Wormhole
Potions
Hope this revamp and evolution of the Void Bag has you even more excited for Labor of Love than ever before! Again, if you missed any of the litany of spoilers that we have shared over the past month on Twitter and elsewhere, be sure to check out and follow our social media channels to catch up and so that you do not miss any that might drop in the future!
We will hopefully have a date soon, we promise! (How's that for a non-committal promise?)

WHAT ELSE IS GOING ON?
Right now, the core focus of the time is the final push to get Labor of Love done to what we have as the vision for the update. Still have that one eye on the future though.
TMODLOADER NEWS - TML TEAM
Hello everyone!
This month has almost all been bugfixes - as things often are after a major launch like TML 1.4!. There's still more todo, but we're doing our best to fix issues and support as many users as possible - so keep your reports coming in.
We have also added tML support for modded pylons (thanks to MutantWafflez). Thanks to this, pylon mods should become more compatible, and we can expect more modded pylons.
TMODLOADER STEAM WORKSHOP
The TML Steam Workshop is already up to nearly 2,000 mods in just one short month.
Bug fixes and more bug fixes... did we mention bug fixes? We have a few other things in the works, but they are not really ready to talk about yet.
As always, you can keep track the current progress and such more in real time at tModLoader/tModLoader (But note that the completion percentage doesn't mean anything, because issues and PRs don't have weights.)
PlayStation, XBOX, Nintendo Switch, Mobile - DR STUDIOS
The team at DR Studios has really enjoyed this development cycle, being able to run alongside our good friends at Re-Logic and working in parallel to try and keep Mobile and Console right on pace. We won't lie, being able to show brand new Terraria content for the first time on Mobile and Switch was simply amazing, and we are so happy to be able to take part in the spoiler-y fun at last. Speaking of, we have some fun new stuff to show you this month, so shall we?
Equipped pets can now be seen on the Player Select Menu
Who doesn't want to channel their inner Wolf?
Now, we would be remiss without giving you a mobile spoiler as well, right? Well, pardon our dust a bit on this one as it is still very much a work in progress (we do not have the mappable UI button in quite yet as well, but it is coming!)
Gear Loadouts on Mobile Terraria - Work in Progress!
Thanks as always for the honor and trust you give us each month to work on Terraria - it is not a responsibility that we take lightly, and we look forward to bringing more amazing things to you all as we move forward.

OTHER COMMUNITY NEWS
TERRARIA MODS WIKI LAUNCHES SOON
Our good friends at Wiki.gg have been working with the TML Team and others on a brand new Terraria Mods Wiki!
The wiki is located at https://terrariamods.wiki.gg, and is available for your use now. A small group of folks received advance access in order to start adding content - but now we are ready to reveal it to everyone. The current format is a modified version of the same theme used on the vanilla Terraria wiki. This might need to be changed in the future in order to avoid confusing readers on which wiki they are on. We are currently working with the tModLoader team to develop some assets to hopefully make the Terraria Mods wiki feel even more unique.
We looked at the current Fandom mods wiki to start, but based on its current status, we decided to make a mostly fresh start here. Basically, the new Terraria Mods wiki has the same structure as the one on Fandom, just without any mods currently covered there. The small group we have reached out to in advance before going public has mainly be mod devs to add their mods to the wiki in advance of the launch. We will also attempt to bring over particular mods from the Fandom wiki as long as their content is in good shape (i.e. following naming conventions and using proper templates). Being as there are almost 200 mods on the Fandom wiki, it would take a lot of work to determine which mods are still active and organized among everything else. The plan is to be more on top of mod content on wiki.gg than things ever were on Fandom, so we avoid unorganized/old content, keep to consistent standards, etc.
We hope you take some time to check this out today!
The Terraria Lego Ideas concept that we had mentioned for the past few State of the Game posts has reached the 10,000 Supporter goal that Lego sets for things to move on to the next phase. We have tried to reach out in parallel to see if we can help enable things along the way. As for what is next or the timing, no one knows just yet - but if and when we do, we will tell you immediately. Thanks again to our wonderful community for sending a strong message that Terrarians want Terraria Legos!!!
GUILDS FOR HOPE CHARITY FUNDRAISER
The Terraria team is thrilled to be participating in the United Servers of Discord Alliance’s first Guilds For Hope charity fundraiser! We’re teaming up with many other communities to raise money for Give Kids The World Village, an 89-acre, whimsical nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides critically ill children and their families from around the world with magical week-long wish vacations at no cost.

This fundraising event officially begins August 1, but teams can register now!

Until next time, Terrarians - we hope you have an amazing month, and we look forward to bringing you the latest and greatest next time!
We are beyond thrilled to be able to at long last reveal a project that has been going on behind the scenes for quite some time - the Terraria Graphic Novel series! We here at Re-Logic have been working closely with our partners at 50 Amp Productions on all aspects of the graphic novels - from script to lineart to coloring and more, we really feel like these are a perfect balance between staying authentic to the Terraria experience while taking enough creative license to be able to craft an engaging story within the Terraria universe.
We are nearly finished with Book One in the series, and we wanted to give you a sneak peek (well... beyond the one we gave you in June's State of the Game) at what is to come. Each Book will contain four parts... and this is the cover art for Terraria - Book One, Issue One.
(Cover art is final, but the team is working on a new custom logo for this series - so the Terraria Logo here is just a WIP/Placeholder using our in-game logo)
Outside of working on Terraria itself, this is maybe the most excited we have been for any project we have been involved with thus far. We have high hopes and big plans here, should these do well enough and meet with the approval of the Terraria Community.
The rollout plan is still under discussion, and we will have more details on that very soon. However, we can share that the current plan is to make Issues 1-4 available as standalone items (both with and without some other really cool collectibles that we are developing as a part of the package) starting in Q3 of this year and continuing through the end of 2022. We will then have the entire Book One available as a completed piece along with some special additions in early 2023. We would then begin work on Book Two and so on.
Now, of course, we will always maintain that the Terraria story is as open ended as the players themselves - so view this as just one possible take of the limitless stories that could be told about the who, what, and why behind what happens in the world of Terraria. That said, we think it is a pretty good one - and one that we are hoping and looking to expand upon in future books in the series. How far we will be able to go here, of course, depends on your support! The more successful these are or become, the further we can take the story... and who knows, maybe we could one day explore having these adapted as a streaming series or more.
We hope you are all as excited as we are about Terraria finally getting the legit Graphic Novel treatment and are intrigued to see the story thus far... and where it might take us all.
