Each square now has a light level of Darkness, Dim, Normal or Bright light
Below is an image of Human Wizard (Binton) with a Hooded Lantern that gives off normal light in a 30 foot radius and increased light for the next 30 feet. The new lighting has soft edges and shows the two regions.
This is the same case but the squares are shaded to represent one of the four light levels: Darkness, Dim, Normal or Bright. These light levels will be used for the rules for stuff such as stealth.
Here is Gwenhala the Half-elf Cleric holding a torch that has a range of 20 feet. Gwen has Low Light Vision and so her view in Dim light is twice as far.
Going forward I intend to work on the following:
Hook up a perception system based on the rules. So allowing characters to use stealth.
Work on how the camera moves around to focus on enemy actions that are perceived (seen or heard).
Change how combat starts and ends to be more clear.
