Welcome the new map: The Bridge!

"MANY TRIED TO FLEE THE CITY WHEN THE GOVERNMENT WENT TO SHIT - BUT IT WAS TOO DAMN LATE. THE ONLY WAY IN AND OUT OF THE CITY IS BY THE BRIDGE ... AND NOT EVERYONE MADE IT OUT."

Zombies will swarm in both sides of the bridge, giving you fewer places to run to, so you may want to set up a strong defensive line and hold your ground!

In other news:

- Fixed zombies getting stuck in some of the city map spawn locations
- Automatic sentry health has received a 25% health buff
- Fixed a bug with Land mines where they did no damage or appear to explode

In this weeks patch:

- Flamethrower damage buff
- The collider has been removed from flood lights, so you may not shoot through them
- Multiple multiplayer performance increases
- Score tab now updates correctly, showing number of kills per player etc.
- Remove glitched zombies from build phase if any manage to bug into it
- Remove random blood splats on ground when game starts
- Player name, cash & mini-map icon colour will be unique per player

- Fixed a bug causing an error when a player left during multiplayer
- Permissions now work on the host menu where you can change the game between public & private
- Game will now start automatically (after a short countdown) once all players ready up in the lobby
- You will now be able to cycle between all the players whilst spectating by pressing the mouse 1 button
- You may now join a multiplayer game from the server browser by double clicking
- Player's mini-map icons are now colour-coded to their name/score
- Fixed a bug where zombies would not scan on the mini-map if they are too far out of range
- Fixed a bug in the shop where a confirmation screen could persist when a zombie wave starts

A few more fixes in the latest version:

- Fixed a crashing issue that had previously affected a number of players
- Fixed a bug where bosses would stand still
- Fixed an issue where some garden fences wouldn't spawn in on the city map
- Added an invite players option in the lobby
- The '+' invite buttons now work in the lobby
- Added a permissions option to the host game screen to toggle between public and private games

The recent release of the multiplayer beta came with it a bunch of issues that a lot of you have been helping identify on our discord server, so thanks for that!

Here's what we've added in this update:

- In-game chat. Simply press 'T' or 'Y' to open the chat interface.
- Fixed a bug where boss zombies could appear under the map.
- Player has joined/left the lobby message in chat box
- Fixed the double stacked buildings bug
- Fixed a bug where the screaming zombie's shaking effect would also affect other players
- Fixed a repair bug where sometimes a building would appear to need fixed when it was full health
- Kill count on the score tab is now fixed and will record each player's performance
- Player names have been added next to their health bar
- Increased zombie health for each additional player in your party
- Fixed a bug where the garden fences would not spawn in
- Fixed a bug where the host's character model would apply for everyone
- Implemented steam invites
- Added an invitation UI pop-up where you can notify/get notified to join a game
- Some minor performance increases
- Other various fixes

We'll continue improving the performance of the game during multiplayer sessions & push out updates at any given opportunity.

Multiplayer has arrived!

At long last you will be able to join other players in laying waste to the undead!

We have opened the host game & browse server options from the main menu. For the moment, joining a game currently in progress is disabled, so you'll have to be in the team from the starting lobby. We'll be working to enable that alongside fixing the remaining issues with multiplayer and continue to refine the experience.

So here we are:

- Multiplayer servers open (beta)
- Music library updated with 12 more awesome tracks
- Draw distance graphics setting is now available
- Fixed a shadows issue (illusion of floating characters)

We'll be pushing an update out in the next few days that will enable text chat in-game to help teams communicate better.

This week we have been progressing with multiplayer and started design on an additional map.

We have had several issues pop-up on our radar we have fixed in the meantime:

- Electric grids are now dragable when placing
- Laser clipping bug fixed.
- Barbed wire sound bug fixed.
- Weapon reload issue fixed where shotguns/grenade launcher weapons were causing a non-reload related issue

Ultimate Zombie Defense - Richie O
This week, we have added some satisfying destruction feedback to the game.

Your defences will now crumble to pieces once destroyed, instead of just disappear:



Sentries are now more efficient, and will attack the next closest enemy, making them much more powerful than before.

Other than that we've balanced the electric grid, by decreasing the amount of time it will stay active, as well as fix a few minor bugs.

Multiplayer is still on track for the end of the month, will let you all know more nearer the time!

Multiplayer servers are coming at the end of the month!

In the mean time, here's some new & improved stuff:

- Death state improvements
- Smoothly rotate buildings in build mode
- Only the corners of your screen will flash now when taking damage
- Buildings you can't afford will be greyed out
- Shop background window fix
- Ammo box health buff
- Flood lights are now slightly taller, meaning more of the light escapes when placed in front of common defences
