NOVEMBER - UPDATE "RADOSŁAW"
+ NEW CONTENT - Heavy German Reinforcements - a new Boss
+ NEW FEATURE - Combat Objectives

In the future Battle Objectives will seamlessly merge with the upcoming Character Progression Overhaul, forming a deeper, more engaging system.
+ NEW FEATURE - Codex Overhaul
Total refresh of the way the Codex is presented. Check all unlocked things at a glance and easily track enemies, weapons, and characters that you have not met yet. Check the skills and stats of weapons and enemies. Read all the characters epilogues you have already seen and even check the requirements of the elusive personal missions!
DECEMBER - UPDATE "ŻMIJA"
+ NEW FEATURE - Character Progression Overhaul
Out with the old, in with the new. Characters now earn Experience Points for their achievements which can be used to acquire new skills and perks. XP is earned through Missions, Combat Objectives, Narrative Events, and more. Perks are added to the progression tree which let you choose passive attribute bonuses for your characters. Skills in the progression tree are no longer random and now allow for more choices and player agency.
Both updates will add more bug fixes, quality of life features and other polishing stuff.
Additional goodies are also planned for the near future!
Another large update lands on the public branch today - Żniwiarz! It brings a lot of new stuff plus the anticipated Melee feature to the game.
CONTENT
NEW FEATURE - MELEE
Every character has gained a new skill in their repertoire - a melee attack! These can be used from any place and may target any enemy on the grid. No ammo needed! The kicker here is that these melee attacks are not very powerful; still, they can be quite useful in a pinch.
And wait, there's more! Multiple melee attack types are now available in the game. Some characters simply deal damage while others also push or pull the enemies for some additional utility!
NEW FEATURE - EASY MODE
You asked for it and we delivered. A fourth difficulty, "Easy", is available now for the more casual players who want a more relaxed challenge level in the game.
NEW CHARACTER - ERNEST BUDNIK THE EXECUTIONER
Within the ranks of the Home Army, there are men and women tasked with carrying out death sentences issued by the Polish Underground State. When justice falls short, they act. Ernest is one such executioner.
Ernest wields revolvers and machine guns. He also has a whole arsenal of unique skills. First and foremost, he's able to apply Awareness to any ally which lets them target any position on the enemy grid while attacking. He's no slouch in other areas, though: Guillotine turns his revolver shots into Critical Hits, On the Mark ignores any Accuracy or Dodge modifiers of the enemy while using machine guns, and to round it all off, he has the ability to heal himself upon killing an enemy. Lots of interesting tactical options!
NEW NARRATIVE EVENT - "The Verdict"
Ernest's personal event in which a shadow is cast upon the figure of the executioner.
NEW CODEX ENTRIES AND A NEW EPILOGUE
Both for the new character.
NEW WEAPONS - MG13 & PANZERFAUST

WHAT'S NEXT?
With "Żniwiarz" deployed, we have reached the end of our roadmap for October. Now is the time to look back and reevaluate the collected feedback and prepare a new November roadmap for you all, We'll share it with you when it's ready. Don't worry, though, it won't be long.
Here's a small teaser though - a COMPLETE revamp of character progression is coming!
Use a new consumable item, "Camouflage", to become invisible when exploring the city. Avoid German patrols and their line of sight zones.
NEW FEATURE - AMBUSH
Turn the tables on your enemies! Approach the Germans while in stealth to ambush them and gain advantage in battle. Ambushed enemies have their initial amount of Activations reduced by 1.
NEW ENEMY - SS Veteran
Armed with a deadly Panzerfaust, this veteran enemy can deplete the Stamina of your Insurgents, destroy barricades, and unleash a hail of bullets with his looted PPSH.
NEW ENEMY - Wurfgerät 42
Technically part of the Nebelwerfer family, the Wurfgerät 42 is a unique type of enemy consisting of two separate elements: the weapon and the operator. Killing the operator early prevents the launcher from firing, but if you wait too long, the Wurfgerät 42 will rain fire upon your team for devastating AOE damage.
NEW NARRATIVE EVENT - "Step by Step"
Surrounded and left with no options, a family attempts a daring escape.
QUALITY OF LIFE
- Persistent consumable items like the Compass or the new Camouflage now display a nifty icon, which clearly shows the remaining time before they expire.
Plus multiple minor bug fixes.
BALANCE
- Increased critical chance of Make Way - Increased range and damage of Guardian Angel and reduced its ammo cost - Increased Bleed chance of Hack - Increased Bleed chance of Blade Rush - Increased range of Foray - Increased damage of Root Out and reduced its ammo cost - Increased accuracy, range and critical chance of Showdown and reduced its ammo cost - Increased range of Enmity - Increased range of Reckoning and reduced its ammo cost - Reduced ammo cost of Nemesis - Adjusted Will to live - Increased range of Signal Corruption - Reduced range of Fake Transmission - Increased range of Single Out - Increased Blind chance of Fake Transmission
Jan is a member of the famous 1107th Home Army platoon which consisted in large part of deaf and mute resistance fighters. He wields rifles and grenades.
His combat efficiency depends on the positioning of the enemy. As such, comboing him with characters who are able to reposition the Germans will be of great help. In addition, he can increase the activation costs of the enemy to 2 points instead of the usual 1. The nature of his condition also grants him increased resistance to Suppression.
On the flip side, due to his inability to communicate through speech, he cannot pass any narrative event checks that rely on Charm, Academics, or Intuition.
NEW FEATURE - TURBO MODE
You can now adjust the animation speed during battles. Increase it to 1.5x, or even 2x, and enjoy a more snappy gameplay. The game will also remember your last selected speed and apply it every time you get into a fight.
NEW NARRATIVE EVENT - "Inaudible"
Jan's personal narrative event in which we learn that pain and grief transcend words.
NEW CODEX ENTRIES AND A NEW EPILOGUE
Both for the new character.
NEW WEAPON - Mannlicher 1888
NEW WEAPON - Steyr 1912
QUALITY OF LIFE
- You can now move a single item instead of the whole stack in the preparation screen. Hold Left Shift when clicking on an item to trigger this.
BUG FIXES
- Skill tooltips are now correctly updated after a weapon is swapped in the hideout. - Fixed the starting skills of the Uhlan and the Phone Operator. - Fixed SS Officers' portraits.
"BASZTA" IS NOW LIVE FOR EVERYONE ON THE PUBLIC BRANCH!
CONTENT
NEW FEATURE - DIFFICULTY LEVELS
We're proud to present you this anticipated feature a week early! Starting a new campaign will let you choose between three difficulty levels for both the battles and the strategic map.
Regular difficulty level is the one you've been playing so far. Challenging difficulty level is similar but slightly easier than the one the game launched with. Extreme difficulty level is for the most confident veterans!

NEW FEATURE - SKIPPING TIME IN THE HIDEOUT
Lots of wounded characters? Waiting for that 'New Blood' event? You can now skip the time in the Hideout without embarking on a new mission. Giving your team a breather is priceless but watch out because waiting in the comfort of the Hideout means all three available mission on that day will count as failed!
NEW NARRATIVE EVENT - "A Discourse in Ballistics"
Everyone likes cannons. But do you know how to operate them?
NEW ENEMY - SAPPER
Do you like to hide your characters behind cover? The Sapper can destroy player barricades with a single skill, deploy cover on the German side and make a deadly salvo with his MP40.
NEW ENEMY - JAEGER
Deadly and effective, the Jaeger will move to benefit from any cover available on the map while buffing himself at the same time. He is also armed with his trusty G43 and will make short work of your characters if you leave them in the open.

A new indoors background that lets you fight amongst the ruins of one of the Warsaw's churches.
NEW NARRATIVE EVENT - "Non-Sequitur"
You find a mysterious red text on the walls of Warsaw. How will you react?
NEW FEATURE - MINIMAP
We listened to your feedback! New mode lets you see the city map from an overhead view. Never again lose the sight of the discovered Encounters!
You can access this view by pressing TAB or by using the scroll wheel.
BALANCE
- Increased the Accuracy of Snipe to 100% and increased its Stamina cost to 2 - Adjusted the range of German Grenadier's skills
QUALITY OF LIFE
- increased the number of save slots to 4 - enabled moving with WSAD keys on the city map - the intro will auto-skip itself after the first launch of the game - skills can now be also used by clicking on the character's portrait - you can now close the loot and interaction menu on the map while next to an encounter. This will allow using consumables without having to move away from the loot. - added an option to force the launch of the game without playing the intro by adding the -nointro parameter
VISUALS

We are listening to your feedback and are committed to improving Warsaw both in short and long term. We aim to provide you a content roadmap in the very near future.
A patch will be deployed shortly, which addresses a number of issues you have asked about since launch.
DELETING SAVE FILES
Deleting saves from the game now works correctly.
DIFFICULTY ADJUSTMENT
While we want the game to remain difficult it seems clear from the feedback that it was over-tuned. We have reduced the overall difficulty across the board.
- Health of Enemies reduced by 10%. This will also speed up the combat - Reduced the maximum number of Enemies in battles from 7 to 6 - Ammunition cost of all Skills reduced by 20% - Decreased the rate of AP consumption when moving around the city by 25%. - Reduced the rate of Momentum decay by 10% - Increased the starting amount of Short Ammunition by 10% - Increased the starting amount of Long Ammunition by 25% - Increased the starting amount of Heavy Ammunition by 50% - Slightly increased ammunition gain from looting
RNG ADJUSTMENT
Right now the game increases your hit odds by 10% when you miss. We have increased this to 30%. This should reduce the amount of frustrating missing streaks in combat.
BUG FIXES
- Fixed a rare bug where battles failed to load - Fixed tooltips in the battle screen being clipped by the screen edge - Fixed a bug that allowed to infinity sell weapons equipped by a character - Fixed vanishing ammunition when the game was closed during the loading screen - Fixed Mortar visuals when hit - Added a new cursor - Achievement fixes - Audio fixes - Visual fixes
To close the circle of trailers starting with WARSAW's announcement back in February and ending with the launch trailer seven months later we'd like you to check out WARSAW's newest video. Full two days before the game is available on Steam this coming Wednesday.
We will be adding the trailer to the official Steam page tomorrow, but for now you can check it out exclusively @ GameSpot.
The work on the trailer with the very talented and very patient Radikal Studio lasted a little over two months and resulted in a mere 41-email chain that lead to less than 10 versions of the video.
Literally hundreds of emails labeled WARSAW REVIEW CODES went out yesterday to the gaming media, streamers and youtubers around the world. So that on Wednesday of October 2nd, from 1pm GMT / 6am PDT you could check out the reviews, streams and videos to see what the industry’s professionals make of it.
What we made of it is over two years and tens of thousands working hours put into development, localization, QA, and communication. It felt fantastic to share the game’s screenshots, trailers and details and see how they resonate with you. And your support, enthusiasm and inputs in all the comments and forums sections every time a new story on WARSAW surfaced were extremely humbling and rewarding.
Next week from the day of the launch onwards we set out on a new journey with two clear goals. To listen to you and incorporate your input into the game and work on the content that will allow you to enjoy the game way, way post launch on PC. With other platforms to follow.
WARSAW’s steam keys will be active from 3pm GMT / 8am PDT on October 2nd. The game will be available for 23.99 USD or equivalent in local currency. With one exception: the game`s home country. Thanks to retail and publishing partners in Poland, the price for the version in the local distribution, supporting only Polish language will be approx. 50% lower. We wanted to make sure it will allow more people in Poland to experience the events that had profound impact on their capital city, and their country. To paraphrase IGN’s Joe Skrebel’s quote from his WARSAW story: This feels right to us.
