We’ve made some of our own renovations with a new update to Tools Up!. The update comes with a new game mode and character skins.


The new mode, Time Attack (New Game+), will provide you with an additional challenge after you’ve finished the base game. Additionally, four new character skins have been added to the game—you can now renovate as knights! Now that we’ve raised the difficulty level, that armor may come in handy.

And that’s not all! Starting today, a new Tools Up! demo will be available on Steam. The demo contains levels 1-1, 1-2, 2-2, 3-2, and 5-3 in Party Mode with the main set of characters. If you haven’t played Tools Up! yet, this is the perfect chance to try it out.

As we all know, renovation is best served in co-op. Although it might seem like you and your crew won’t get together for a while, the fact is you’re just a few clicks away from each other!

Home renovations are always more fun when you can recruit others to do the heavy lifting while you, um, supervise. Use Steam Remote Play to assemble your ultimate renovation team and enjoy ordering others around!

1. Launch Tools Up!
   
2. Press Shift+Tab to open Steam overlay.
   
3. Open your Friends List and right-click to invite your friends.
   
4. They accept the invite in the chat window and... That’s it! You're renovating together.

While Tools Up! is by design a local co-op game, the experience can be definitely enhanced with the Steam Remote Play Together feature. If you can’t throw a renovation party together at home, do it online!

Well, do you already have some friends to invite in mind? Let them know about this feature to work hard and play hard together!

We have added Steam Trading Cards to Tools Up! You can get them by playing the game and trading with your friends. Collect the full set to craft a one-of-a-kind badge, that you can display on your Steam profile. Each badge will earn you random drops of emoticons and backgrounds.

Now you can renovate your Steam profile with:

• Regular badge (5 levels)
  
• Foil badge (1 level)
  
• 6 profile backgrounds
  
• 10 emoticons

How to collect Steam Trading Cards
Play Tools Up! to get cards. Up to half the card set is dropped through game play. You can get the rest of the set by trading with other players on the Community Market.

How to craft a badge
Once you’ve collected a full set of cards you can craft them into a game badge. Badges can be crafted by accessing the Badges tab on your Steam profile. There are 5 levels of a regular badge to craft and one foil badge.

During badge crafting you'll receive random rewards, such as emoticons and backgrounds.
