From all of us at Supergiant Games, thank you for playing Hades II. We've been very excited to see so many of you battling beyond the Underworld since our v1.0 Launch, and we're grateful for all the feedback, which inspired us throughout development and continues to do so. This Post-Launch Patch contains various improvements, previously noted in our Patch 1 Preview but with a few additional fixes:

Highlights
True Ending Enhancements: Added new events in the lead-up to the True Ending, and some after. As part of this, increased the number of Underworld clears required, and added to and revised parts of the main True Ending scenes before the end credits. Note: The vast majority of changes are to the Underworld route; the Surface route is mostly unchanged. The Epilogue is also unchanged.

Returning to a Real Possibility: Added Cauldron incantation lets you return to an earlier point in the story in case you wish to re-experience key events, such as the True Ending.

Fated Prophecy Adjustments: A number of character-related Prophecies, including the one connected to the story epilogue, should unfold faster than before.

Crossroads Renewal: Many decorative items have reduced costs in Kudos compared to before. Any excess Kudos you have already spent will be refunded.

Aspects of the Nocturnal Arms
Witch's Staff (Circe): Smolder Ring (Hestia) now also applies Scorch from the bonus Cast when your Casts overlap

Boons & Blessings
Anvil Ring (Hephaestus): increased damage for Common Rarity
Controlled Burn (Hestia): increased bonus from Poms of Power
Ares: increased Plasma pickup range
Sword Ring (Ares): increased damage
Carnal Pleasure (Ares x Aphrodite): increased effectiveness
Success Rate (Hermes): now also affects Nurture of Hera (Selene x Hera)
Shadow Pounce (Artemis): increased effectiveness
Gigaros Dash (Hades): no longer staggers foes when this deals direct damage

Yarn of Ariadne: now also raises chance of finding Duo Boons (as in the original game)
Mist Veil: now restores Magick that is lost for any reason (not just from using Omega Moves)

Foes & Dangers
Zagreus: fixed cases where he would stand still for too long
Unrivaled Prometheus: adjusted hitboxes of certain Heracles attacks in this Encounter
Headmistress Hecate: slightly reduced hitbox of flame attacks to better match the visuals
Phantom (Fields): reduced effectiveness of Life-drain effect; removed this effect from some attacks

Special Encounters
• Added a preview icon for Location exits leading to an Infernal Contract (after the True Ending)
• Added a preview icon for Erebus Location exits leading to Raki (before you have bonded with him)
Nemesis no longer can show up more than once a night while battling through the Underworld
Circe appears slightly more often

Hello, Chasers! This month we’re sharing what our programmers are working on, our important presence at the National Storm Chaser Summit, the progress on the new tornadoes, and the progress on the TIV2 modeling.

CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT - VIVOX

Vivox, our text and voice chat system, has faced several stability issues and limitations since launch. This month, we are dedicating time to addressing every problem documented by our testers and reported by the community in order to provide a solid, reliable foundation for all social features.

One of the most common issues players have encountered is the “Social features disabled” message that appears when the Vivox service experiences a connection problem.

This development stint will take care of this along with a wide range of stability improvements, including fixes for car radio communication, social settings in menus, and player muting functionality.

NATIONAL STORM CHASER SUMMIT

TORNADO DEVELOPMENT 

On the Catalyst side, the new tornado system has seen great progress. Most of its volumetric foundation is now complete. Tornadoes will no longer just be cloud-filled volumes, but true columns of rotating wind. The next steps are to bring their rendering up to the same fidelity as our cloud systems, replacing the current development preview you see in the screenshot. Once that’s complete, we’ll move on to validating the rotational behavior. After that, the focus will shift to implementing the multi-vortex structure, which has been accounted for in the system’s core architecture since the beginning of this rework.

TIV2 - INTERIOR MODELING

The TIV2 is one of the most anticipated vehicles in the OUTBRK community, and we’re giving it the attention it deserves. Our team is working closely with the TIV2 crew and our modeler to capture every detail with precision. The interior modeling is currently underway, and the results are already looking incredible.
