We are ready to announce that we have prepared a Halloween update for our future players, which you can try to play in the DEMO version of the game. We want you to make the most of this holiday, without struggling to protect your possessions from hordes of monsters and collect candy. This event includes a new Halloween-themed map, new monsters, a mini-game where you need to collect pumpkin-inspired piñata, additional achievements.

The event will be held from October 25 to November 1. It is time to have fun!



The Halloween map is a night mode where you must light the location with lanterns so that defence towers can hold the castle defences. Find pumpkin chests by location to make it easier to fend off enemies.


There will be pumpkin piñata chests scattered around the woods. Your task is to gather them to make a pumpkin counter go higher. The more pumpkins you collect, the higher your tower damage coefficient. Yes, pumpkins break the balance a bit, so what? It does not stop us from having fun! Sit back and watch as your defence towers grind enemies.

-Re-sprited, reworked nautilus fight is live :) enjoy the new attacks and remember that equipping any mobility accessories will be super helpful!

-Melee weapons have some sleek new trail effects

-Frost mechanic has been reworked, with freezing being faster and more damaging - but cold resistance is buffed to balance the difficulty here. The goal is to make freezing immediate and evident for new players

-Fixed bugs and crashes including:

• Crash on opening bin-bot
  
• Crash on opening Otto's shop while on volcanic or desert planets
  
• Unable to pass through platforms while air-diving
  
• Taking extra fall damage after passing through platforms

This coming Wednesday, October 5th, the platform team will be taking the multiplayer servers down for regular maintenance. Please note:

• Ranked matchmaking will disabled exactly one hour before the maintenance window to prevent disruption to newly-formed matches.
  
  
• Any matches still in progress at the start of the maintenance window will be disrupted when it begins.
  
  
• DURING THE MAINTENANCE WINDOW, YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO LAUNCH THE GAME, BUT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MATCHMAKE OR ACCESS ANY ONLINE FEATURES.

To prevent any interruptions, we recommend wrapping up any games at least 10 minutes before the maintenance window. The downtime is expected to last between 1 and 2 hours. You can watch this thread with any changes to the schedule as they arise, as well as the all-clear when the maintenance is complete.

Ten Dates is on Steam's Next Fest October 2022 Edition! The demo will allow you to play as Misha or Ryan as they navigate their post-pandemic love lives in the unpredictable world of speed dating.

The demo has 2 very different dates available, each with their own multi-directional chain of conversation topics you can explore including: ice-breaker games, awkward scenarios and unexpected truths.

Ten Dates is the much-anticipated sequel to Five Dates with even more content coming on launch.



The Ten Dates demo will be available October 3rd - October 10th exclusively on Steam. The demo has full controller support, Streamer mode, a whole new cast and location plus different endings available.

Hi everyone! I have rushed out a patch that fixes some critical bugs and hopefully provides a solution for the freezing, slowdown or stuttering issue that some players have. If you are experiencing some kind of FPS drop, you may resolve it by tinkering around with the new settings menu. I have also attempted to fix the bug that interferes with Steam’s overlay, but since this may interfere with launching the game, I will be keeping a close eye on bug reports.

As always, you can report bugs on discord or via the Steam forums, and I'll try to get to them as quickly as I can.

Changes

I have “devolved” the settings menu to a simpler version. While the old one may look slightly better, I kind of like the simplicity of the new menu. And it add several critical features, including the ability to modify your render distance, shadow quality, and to turn off dynamic lighting.

Reducing these settings should see a sizable FPS bump, especially on older computers.

The Rotational Power generator for the iron tier is the steam engine. It comes in two parts the Boiler and the Steam Engine itself.

The boiler is a large building that will produce a significant amount of steam (enough for multiple steam engines.


It has a fluid input for water as well as an item input for fuel.


On the back there is a fluid output for steam. that can be connected to via pipe.


The boiler is the first building to use the temperature system. When the boiler is first given fuel it will consume it at an increased rate to increase its temperature. Upon reaching max temp the boiler will start converting water to steam and consume fuel at a reduced rate. If the boiler is ever unable to work due to a full output, empty input or no fuel it will start to lose temperature and will need to reheat before it can work again.


The steam engine is a bit simpler, it consumes steam from the pipe input at the back and has a single shaft output on the side.


The output speed of the steam engine is constant and the output torque scales with the pressure of the steam given to it.


And of course the steam engine has an awesome animation when it is running.
