Hello everyone! Please raise your fins for the first major update since launch. We’ve got an entirely new food & nutrition system, as well as a whole bunch of other additions and improvements.

ALSO, for the duration of the Steam Winter Sale Only, 60 festive pieces of holiday hardscape can be found in the special Winter Market. Fill festive aquariums with baubles, lights, dreidels and more. You can keep them forever if you find them and save them in a tank, but after Jan 4 they can no longer be collected!

Silliness aside!
The nutrition system adds a deep new layer to tank dynamics and interaction. Some species will go bonkers for certain foods but don’t care about others. Fish will hog their faves and you’ll have to be more diligent to make sure everyone gets the right variety of snacks. You can get an idea of what a fish likes by hovering over the “i” in their details in the Your Fish (or Store Fish) panel. Fish will find themselves on a matrix of grazing, opportunist and predacious; and herbivorous, omnivorous and carnivorous.
Dead fish also become food! Failures are now edible! Unless they were sick, in which case the scavengers will inherit their illness.
There are 10 new food types (11 total, so maybe 11 new food types since the only type before was “food”?).
PLEASE NOTE: Nutrition system updates will only apply to NEW fish; existing tank inhabitants do not inherit the new behaviors.
But that’s not all! We’ve made a few other major improvements. Fish pathfinding is way better, so fish are smarter. They also fit into caves better.

ADDED - Nutrition System for Fish. Food chasing is now connected to Hunger, Nutrition Type, Eating Style, Line of Sight, and Water Column. This has the effect of slowing down fish food chasing when not hungry or poor food match, while also helping fish spread out and not all choose the same food piece. ADDED - 11 new types of food that meet Fish Nutritional and Eating Style needs. ADDED - Eating a fish will transfer its Illness stat to the predator, poisoning it. ADDED - Decaying Fish now attract Carnivores and Omnivores. ADDED - Winter Market Shop with over 60 types of themed hardscape to collect and an assortment of our colder water fish. This is a timed event and will close for the season on January 4th. ADDED - Fish Transparency ADDED - Dramatically Improved Fish Pathfinding ADDED - Suction to Gravel Vacuum tool that messes with fish and can suck up food. ADDED - Metric Settings Options
CHANGED - Hardscape in Store Tanks should be less likely to hover in space. CHANGED - Store Tanks can now spawn Large Hardscape pieces. CHANGED - Fish are more likely to stay in their Water Column position when not doing something specifically outside of it. CHANGED - Context Hints now have black backgrounds for legibility (“Examine”, “Grab”, etc.). CHANGED - Made leaf wiggles more apparent when small fish bump into them.
FIXED - Fish can now hide in caves closer to their body size. FIXED - Scaling issue with tank base/glass that would become apparent in large tanks. FIXED - Food now pauses with game correctly. FIXED - Many small UI bugs, fish and hardscape dragging quirks, and odd plant/hardscape interactions. Things should feel more stable to interact with. FIXED - Hardscape can now be placed much higher than before. FIXED - Plant duplication bug from dragging a plant around and then clicking on an empty inventory slot. Duplicated plants will eventually get destroyed by the system, leading to “where did my plant go?” problems. FIXED - Hardscape pieces should now all have appropriate Names and Description text.

Our brand new game "The Holyburn Witches" is releasing on Jan 5, 2024! It's a unique survival-horror game with the similar eerie atmosphere of Wardwell House and 8/8/88 Needle AL. Unlike our other games, this is all about gameplay and doesn't involve only reading.
Game description:
You are all alone in the forests near the derelict town of Holyburn, Maine. Legend has it that unexplained horrific events took place in this town in the early 1900s. You must survive 4 days and 4 nights without losing your life or sanity. Collect enough firewood & mushrooms. Just remember, do NOT let the bonfire go out at night!

An issue that could cause clients to get disconnected on a season skip
On some saves from early coop children don't recognize their parent (it mainly affected clients)
Clients sometimes getting stuck in an empty dialogue with no options (Herm for example)

If a player pushes an NPC while he is releasing a workbench, the workbench is permamently blocked
Possibility to open two dialogues or listen dialogues with NPC
Host using tools always decreases condition of the top one of the type. So if you have 10 pickaxes and then 1 pickaxe in different stack the 10's condition will decrease instead of the 1's
NPCs giving main story quest that was already done
Quests that had reward in quest items (like Domagoj's crossbow) were broken until save reload due to item being in player's inventory instead of quest inventory
If quest gets stuck at "listen to conversation" then reloading game fixes it (or loading it if the quest was stuck before this update)
Some cases of host appearing invisible to clients if mounted
Items going into negative count when player tries to transfer item that was used for economy or taken by another player
Fast building with stolen items may lead to having negative count in inventory
Crafting that gives character xp in production doesn't work correctly if used with "fast crafting"
If client's family was moved to another house while client was not logged in then his family can be assigned to different house than him/her
Reconnection system not working
Management for fields. Sometimes incorrect field chunks were updated instead of the selected ones

We've also updated our MimiCries demo, to better suit our players preferences. We've streamlined the game such that the players do not need to explore too much yet enjoy the puzzles to its fullest.
The Factory & Robot update is here after a delay, and it is packed with new content, QoL improvements (we’ve fixed the melee system, read below to learn more!) and as usual, a bunch of bugs has been identified and fixed, so here’s the update! 🔥

⚔️ Reworked melee weapons to use a dedicated melee weapon slot
In other words, now they do not count towards the maximum you can carry but you can only carry one melee weapon at a time. Additionally, the basic melee attack will now always try to use the currently carried melee weapon so the player can benefit from their better statistics without having to swap manually to them. Nonetheless, the player can still select the melee weapon normally and use it as its main combat weapon like before.
💱 A new currency for shop re-rolls has been added
(This currency can be exchanged while in the shop in order to refresh the randomized shop contents)
❤️ QoL Improvements...
The game is shifting from hidden levels towards Bonus Levels. We decided to do that to make Bonus Levels more accesible for players, as we can see that a lot of people don't even know that those hidden locations exist in the first place. Additional levels are a part of the whole game experience, and we want to give an opportunity to as many players as possible to be able to access these parts of the game, and enjoy fighting new bosses and unlock more agents.
So now the entrances to Bonus Levels are clearly indicated with the camera focusing on their entry. Now these levels will spawn multiple medkits on their entrance area; in addition, a re-roll die will be granted when defeating the boss on these levels.

⚒️ And, of course, Bug Fixes
The tracking of the bullseye combo was inconsistent and confusing for weapons that shoot more than one projectile at a time. The combo was reset or increased based on the outcome of the first impact of the projectiles of the attack. To fix these, 2 actions have been taken:
Now the successive projectiles of a burst are tracked individually (same as non burst projectiles) and each one will increase or reset the bullseye combo accordingly at the time of its impact.
Now the simultaneous projectiles of a “multi shot” (like shotgun pellets) will increase the bullseye combo when any of them hits an enemy and reset the combo only when all of them have impacted and missed.
Fixed an issue that tracked incorrectly the accuracy for the marksman contract with continuous attacks (Plasma guns and Electro-guns) making them track more hits than intended, even causing the percentage to go above 100%.
Fixed an issue that considerably limited the fire rate of dedicated melee weapons.
Firing will not be interrupted by any other inputs now; so Electro-guns, Particle beams and automatic weapons with charge time will not “restart” when the ability button is pressed, for example.
Fixed a weird interaction with elements that drop to the ground and the parking lines in the MegaCorp level that caused these elements to move out of the parking lines, this was specially affecting gameplay when using weapons that shoot projectiles that drop to the ground like grenades.
Fixed small misalignment of the Modern Machine Gun silhouette placement in the HUD.
The damage (Max DPS) shown in the information/tooltip for weapons with attacks that cause effects like radiation, burn or bleed was displaying a higher value than the maximum damage per second they can actually output.
Fixed a situation where the Captain sprite could stay white.
Fixed a rare bug where some weapons (mostly laser weapons) will jam if dying under a very specific timing and then reviving with the self-revive. Swapping weapons fixed it, but one of these weapons specifically (Binary Laser) also blocked weapon swapping, invalidating the workaround.
Fixed a visual bug that displayed a 6hp text popping up when it is actually 7hp if you pick a health pack while having the medical nanites upgrade.
