Hello Once Again Wizarding Folk,

We have a fanciful treat for the wizards who have a cult on the side... we’ve released a free update to any player that owns Cult of the Lamb and Wizard with a Gun in their steam library. If this sounds like ewe, you’ll be able to reap the following benefits.



Scytheman’s Costume
A new costume set is available in the character customization at the start of the game, and will also be available to craft in the “sewing mechana” for mid-game wizards. These dashing duds are named after the Scytheman enemy from Cult of the Lamb.



The Red Crown
If you’re looking for a new way to blast spells, look no further than “The Red Crown,” a shotgun available as a craftable blueprint at “Young Joshua” in the Imperium biome.

HARD BULLET - JukSteelfly
New Waves Mode


Hello everyone, today we're excited to introduce a refreshed version of the 2020 Waves mode, along with a new layout for the Wave Spawner.

You now have the option to select from two game modes: Survival (previously known as Waves since 2021) and the newly designed Waves mode, which offers a more structured gameplay experience.

We offer three difficulty settings determined by the number of waves, but as always, you're free to set your own. Additionally, the Player Settings remain available for those who want to add an extra challenge by trying different health modes (check out NEW No Regen mode!) and ammunition level.



Expect to face waves of enemies with different outfits, all created using the game's current assets. We're excited about our plans to introduce diverse enemy body types and movement patterns in upcoming updates.

Light Shooter
These enemies wield standard pistols and have no armor. Esay peasy.

Spec Ops
These are more formidable opponents. Dressed in black, they use SMGs and are protected by light armor. A well-aimed shot can knock off their masks and helmets.

Heavy Assault
Armed with assault rifles and wearing heavy armor, these enemies are tough to take down. You'll likely use up an entire magazine to penetrate their armor, so it's better to target their unprotected body parts or engage them at close range with a blade.




Shotgun: Pump Logic Updated
Updating the mechanics for pump shotguns to make them more realistic when you run out of ammo. Here's what happens when you fire the last shell and pull the pump handle back:
  1. The pump of the empty shotgun will stay in the open position, leaving the action chamber visible and indicating the weapon is out of ammo.
  2. You'll need to insert a new shell into the chamber and then slide the pump handle forward to load the round.
  3. After that, you can continue to load more shells into the magazine tube, located at the lower part of the shotgun.
Known Issue: after loading one round, pump moves forward in free mode, ignoring user pump settings. Hotfix is on its way. Fixed.


Market and Dead End Updated


We've enriched the Dead End sandbox with additional details, refined enemy pathways, and fixed colliders. We've also introduced more elements in the environment that you can interact with, such as items you can grab or remove with a shot.

The market arena has been enhanced with parts that can be detached, although this location is still being refined.

Over the next few months, we're committed to releasing updates for our arenas, continuously improving your gaming experience.



Bugfixes & Improvements
Resolved compatibility issues with Vive Cosmos and first-generation Windows Mixed Reality devices such as the HP Reverb 2019. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

The issue regarding launching Quest through the Virtual Desktop PC Streamer App through VR Desktop inner UI, known as the Grey Screen issue, persists. We acknowledge the inconvenience and are planning more comprehensive internal changes. A fix is in the works, and we aim to roll it out soon to prevent such issues from occurring in the future. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

It's good that all other methods of launching Hard Bullet on Quest via PC are functioning smoothly.

  • Armor in Survival Mode: Resolved the problem where armor wasn't effectively blocking damage during Waves/Survival mode.
  • Enemy Weapons Falling: Fixed the issue where enemy weapons would drop when their bodies disappeared and ensured that weapons are now properly holstered.
  • Rooftop Arena: Adjusted the metal stairs leading to the roof to prevent enemies from getting stuck in them after being defeated.
  • Skeleton Spawn: Fixed errors that resulted in the creation of a blood skeleton instead of the intended enemy model during the use of the Hand Spawner or throughout Wave/Survival sessions.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on adding new quests, enemies and steam achievements.

WAKFU - [Zozio]
The WAKFU MMO team wishes you a happy, healthy, and successful 2024. Siu wanted to take a look back at the past year as well as talk about the year to come, so here's a quick message from him to you.

Recapping the Past Year
2023 marked a real turning point in the history of the WAKFU MMO, with the opening of five Ogrest single-account servers. The single-account servers have been a huge success and clearly shown an incredible enthusiasm for the game. Plus, our playership is higher than at the game's launch over 10 years ago! It's the most successful the project has ever been. This adventure would've been impossible without you, so thank you truly.

That wasn't the only area of development in 2023. Last year gave us a chance to rework a number of classes:
  • Cra
  • Huppermage
  • Eliotrope
  • Foggernaut
  • Xelor
  • Sacrier
  • Ecaflip
  • Eniripsa
  • Rogue
These nine classes have enjoyed higher satisfaction rates since the revamp; rates that we collected and compared through multiple surveys completed by players. It's a success, and we're glad we could update these classes' mechanics in a fresh way. Nevertheless, we're aware that some of them would still benefit from being adjusted and expanded. Class balancing is a process that must continually be perfected. We'll never reach a point where we're fully satisfied, and now we want to spend more time on other areas.

For the past few years, we've been applying a different method: instead of iterating on a class's mechanics very quickly, basically in the moment, we give ourselves several months to track things and we avoid making any rash decisions. We want to allow for new mechanics to settle in over time. We can take stock of a class much more clearly and completely after a period of 3 to 6 months.

In 2023, we pursued our goal of renewing and improving the quality of the game:
  • a revamp of the early game, with an improved tutorial and additional guides
  • the end of the account entity, e.g., having professions and progress (artifacts, transportation, etc.) shared across the account and server-wide
  • WAKFU HD
  • removal of single-target and area masteries
Some of these were substantial projects, but the outcome was worth it! We've advanced toward our vision of a more accessible, less obtuse WAKFU, while preserving its great richness. It wasn't all simple, but we believe we did our best to complete our objectives. Transitioning the game to HD, for example, was quite complicated, and we worked hard to offer more enjoyable gameplay and fulfill this recurring request from the community. We really look forward to the environments being in HD as well!

Other elements from last year that we're very proud of: minor changes for the sake of convenience, additional customization options for classes, a graphically tweaked Astrub, additional animations, typefaces in HD, and of course, the revamped Wabbit Island.

Sailing into 2024
We want to continue improving the game's existing content while offering new experiences. Here's what we're planning:

The 2024 roadmap for the WAKFU MMO will be detailed in the KrosmoNote. More details on this event will come next week.
  • Ultimate Boss Tal Kasha, the Ivory Dofus, and the end of the Wabbit quest
    • These content items will be included in Update 1.83. There's many more twists for you to discover on Wabbit Island!
  • Balancing: Sadidas and Enutrofs
    • These two classes are a priority for us, and we're planning to share more about Sadidas very soon.
  • HD Environments
    • We're continuing to work on the environments so that they're razor-sharp as well.
  • Development of Steles
    • Steles are an important component of dungeons in the WAKFU MMO. As of right now, we haven't established details for everything we plan to do with steles. We're looking into a number of different ways to potentially make steles more appealing and impactful. The goal is also for them to work more simply, more consistently, and for them to be more equally distributed in the game. We're very excited to tell you more about it!
  • Development of Interfaces
    • We know that the WAKFU MMO interface could be greatly improved. This is one of the points most commonly raised by the community, who have long been wanting us to really focus on this topic.
      We're preparing an ambitious, extensive project to revamp the interfaces. The goal is to modernize the interfaces, make them more user-friendly, and significantly improve the gaming experience for players.
    • That being said, this project will take several years of development. There's a great deal of aspects that require detailed, meticulous work. Each interface requires specific work, and we can't revolutionize everything at once. We'll take time to polish each one at a time.
  • New Expansion
    • We're preparing a content expansion that will come out at the end of the year as usual.
      And this expansion will be special on multiple levels… We're so excited to show you what it'll look like. It will be one of the most memorable in the game's history!
