Update 2.0 is one of the most important and exciting ones.

Two very major additions. Heavy optimization and Steam Leaderboards.

Rhythm Game
- Added Steam-Leaderboards to all songs. You can check them at the achievements page and how well you do. Those are near 100% cheat proof, as they upload only your current best score, not the one that is saved and can be edited. You play a song, if your current score is better than your best score, it gets on the steam leaderboard. (I can do this to all stats, but those can be cheated, and what's the point then...)
- Changed the scoring. Now, if you get 6 consecutive notes in a row, your multiplier increases by 1, up to a 6X multiplier. Notes gives 10 points as a base, you start with 1X and so on.
(6 consecutive and 6X multiplier. 66...6 because you are in hell playing with demons girls.)
- Added a new free song, which is the official soundtrack of the game and a song for the new trailer, which I still have to make. It's a crazy one, don't expect to hit all the notes.




Optimization
- This is an emergency update because of it. I was notified, that some players were getting around 11-30 fps in the idle and rhythm game. If you can't get a consistent 60fps in the rhythm game, then everything is off sync, and absolutely not fun!
A lot of backgrounds and art was changed, which you will hopefully not notice. All this art is loaded into your RAM, and makes the game lag. Long story short...
I reduced that memory load by 50MB, so you should have more FPS in the idle game part.
I increased the potential FPS of the Rhythm game from 70fps to 200fps. (potential for my laptop)
This means around 4 times more FPS in the rhythm game.
(When you start the rhythm game, everything else gets deactivated. When you stop playing it or the song is done, everything re-activates again. If I didn't tell you now, then you would have not noticed a single thing out of order or any different. This change ensures that the Rhythm game plays smoothly at 60fps.) It's not just the rhythm game, the entire game should run more smoothly now. I will continue to optimize heavily. Some animations might get their frames reduced by it.

Gameplay comes over graphics. A smooth experience is more important.


Other
- Added a button in the options, that fixes issues with the dialogue and free spins timer. If you experience an issue with any of that, click the button.
- Remastered all songs. They are not a bit louder and better sounding.
- Changed some outdated ginny lines about nudity.

I had different plans for this update, but am glad things turned out this way. Optimization is important and the new leaderboards are fun.

If you experience any FPS drops, or any issues. Then please let me know.

That said, I will destroy you all in the leaderboards. :D

I'd love to talk about all the hard work and the emotional journey but I'll cut to the bits you want to know; what happens next and what's included in this launch.



  • Barkeeper fix when customer gave exact change
  • Stock worker stability fixes
  • Loading errors fixed
  • Incorrect green keg hologram when holding the minifridge fix
  • Added new furnitures: Chairs, Tables, Sofas & partitions
  • Removed 'sticky' bottles in Barkeepers hands
  • Dukebox now accepts player's music if placed in the folder
  • Same with portraits with .pngs
  • Fixed furniture placement lockout bug
  • Fixed furniture snapping issues
  • Reduced 'stickiness' of snapping
  • Added a snap toggle
  • Fixed tooltips not updating
  • Changed dirty window texture to show more dirt
  • Added mouse sensitivity option (thankyou Nergal)
  • Changed how cash register hitboxes work to hopefully remove that bug

  • Fixed beertaps being left behind after you pick up that item
  • Mystery white square that increases in quantity within the inventory has been dealt with
  • Oak bar is now fully working
  • Customers should no longer ignore seating
  • Players could place chairs inside already placed chairs, this is now fixed
  • When staff took a drink it didn't class it as removed, it does now
  • Saving and loading is now re-enabled
  • Keg labels are now shown on the bar
  • Added SFX for the pub while patrons are inside
  • Fixed pathfinding for customers and staff
  • Can now fire workers, previously the button didn't work
  • Added a more usable way to see reputation and how it's earned
  • Added a way to see customer mood



First of all we want to clean up any issues players may be encountering, then we'll be getting to work on optimizations as we know this has been an area we've lacked good progress in.

After this we have a bunch of brilliant suggestions that we want to get to work on as soon as possible, whether that's adding: cooking, bar fights, a bathroom for your patrons to vomit in, another larger premises to unlock so you can build your empire, fruit machines, drunken behaviour and more.

This may seem like a lot but I can promise that it won't take forever, however we do need support so please, please, please make sure to leave a positive review on Steam and give us as much feedback as you'd like on the Forums and on Discord.

- Fixed legacy event system breaking the options menu (only happened while being in-game).
- Removed all automatic navigation from the menu entries to avoid the button selector breaking.
- Fixed double pressing on the volume slider.
- Added the option to skip the tutorial even without having played the tutorial yet.

We want to inform you about high-tier character unlocks for those who completed the Open Beta objectives back in June and those who supported the game by purchasing the Elite Task Force Outfit Pack.

Ghost
This character is now available for players who achieved maximum reputation with Taras Zbroiv and Magnus Hjerne and participated in at least 10 matches as the Merc during the Open Beta in June. You can now apply Molecular Biologist, Insurgent, and Preservation skins to this character. Info on the skins here.


Reaper
Unlocked for those who purchased the Elite Task Force Outfit Pack.

Q: What is a high-tier character?
A: A high-tier character is a variation of the Merc that is obtained by completing in-game challenges such as reaching maximum reputation with the traders.
Q: How do I access these high-tier characters?
A: Choose the Merс on the class selection screen, then go to Customization; choose your high-tier character in the Outfit box.
If you've left a negative review on Steam regarding the prior state of things with skins, please consider reconsidering it. I know it's a tautology, have no idea how to fix this.




Good news for Alien Monster mains: We've added a new Breed of Alien Monster: Duskborn for the owners of the Elite Task Force Outfit Pack. It has been added to their Alien Monster customization menu. Two new Alien Monster skins will be added to the Elite Task Force Outfit Pack soon.

⚠️Important: Alien Breeds are temporarily called "Outfits" in-game. These are Alien Monster character types. Not to be confused with "skins" or "cosmetics."

We continue to balance the game, making it easier for new players to get started on one hand, while addressing late-game imbalances on the other.

For instance, the starting family will now include four lords, and the chancellery will use half as much paper for inspections (and we're not done with that yet). On the other hand, the Loving Family has prepared something you all adore—a progressive tax scale on trade and another threshold for increasing the army tax. Praise Mother Sophia for her caring generosity!

We're also adding the "Target Archers" feature, as announced in the roadmap, which allows you to assign your units to attack either the enemy's melee fighters or their archers.

Additionally, in the statistics menu, you'll now see the number of trees cut down by your lumberjacks, along with those that have grown during that time, to give you a clearer view of the forest's balance (I know many of you didn't realize that our forest regenerates!).

We've also improved the optimization related to combat and training, but this is just the beginning of the work we plan to do in this area throughout August. It’s going to get better (at least, we'll do our best).

New
  • New squad option: "Target Archers."
  • Display in the natural resources statistics the number of trees cut down and grown yesterday.

Balance
  • New default family configuration at the start of the game: the king, his wife, and two brothers of the king.
  • An additional house of lords has been added in a new game.
  • After 7 vassals, the soldier tax will increase based on the selected difficulty level. The player will receive a notification about this.
  • On easy and medium difficulties, the chancery will consume 0.5 paper per inspection.
  • Different durations for inspection activity based on game difficulty: 20, 30, 40 minutes on peaceful, normal, and hardcore, respectively.
  • The cost of concluding a trade agreement on the global map will depend on the number of agreements already concluded and the difficulty level.
  • Updated mechanics for soldier tax increases based on the number of allies/vassals; now, a letter from the Matriarch will be sent upon the second increase or decrease in taxes.

Stability
  • Fixed a silent crash that could occur after the birth of another lord in an AI family with many children.

Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where, upon the simultaneous death of both the king and heir, a new king was not appointed.
  • Fixed a bug where leaving an alliance did not remove the thought about being in an alliance.
  • Fixed a bug where partially completed trade agreements would disappear after loading the game.
  • Instead of checking the relationship between the messenger and the merchant lord in the AI city (for the maximum discount), the relationship between the player's king and the merchant lord will be checked.

Optimization
  • Optimized battle processing, most noticeable when multiple training grounds are in operation simultaneously.
