Revenge of the Titans - cprince
So, I thought I'd put this out there to Revenge of the Titans fans:

The Puppygames Patreon

A surprisingly large number of players have asked us about a multiplayer version of Revenge of the Titans. The problem is that when you start solving the individual problems in multiplayer with the game design, you gradually end up, bit by bit, inventing a completely different game.

Battledroid is that game.

We've already spent over a year on Battledroid but we don't have the funds to finish it - it's going to take us another year. If you'd like to help us out making Battledroid, please spare a buck or two for us every month.

Battledroid is a free game and will always be totally free.

Titan Attacks! - cprince
We've just released the latest incarnation of Titan Attacks. This version has a very slightly different difficulty curve which you'll chiefly notice past level 100. Believe it or not we actually had people wrapping the game so often their score caused an integer overflow! So now it'll be a bit harder to get those crazy points - the game genuinely gets seriously challenging past level 100.

Also we should now support Big Picture Mode fully - have a go with your 360 controller. You should be able to enter hiscores etc. just using the controller, and so forth. If you've got any feedback about the controller in Big Picture Mode we'd love to hear it.

Very minor tweaks here, but hopefully appreciated:

  • You should be seeing the Super Health a lot more often now
  • Ordinary health pickups now repair your droid max hitpoints by 12.5%
  • Droids which have no use of bouncy bullets or sharp bullets (eg. the disruptor weapons and flamers) won't be able to pick those powerups up

Complete with still experimental controller support. There are some options you can use to change the way the controls work on the options screen.

The most important change though now is that every time you complete a checkpoint, your entire squad is saved, along with your score and number of transfer points. Hurrah! It will overwrite any existing checkpoint if you go back a few and try again.

I hope you enjoy that particular tweak :)

The RPG DLC is coming along nicely, and should be with us in the next 2 months at most, and will be super cheap.

... and this one's got a few more goodies in it.

Firstly and most obviously, it's now got fancypants shader effects in it, which I'll be expanding on a little in another patch. You can turn these off in the Options menu.

Secondly, we've added Easy Mode. This is a campaign mode like normal campaign mode but the difficulty is capped at a much lower level for more casual play.

Thirdly, we've enhanced Sandbox Mode for those of you that have it. The editor now allows you to specify a lot more detail about spawn points, and also specify exact amounts of each resource available. Check out the new editor options at http://www.revengeofthetitans.com

Fourthly, we've added Research Respec - you can now completely redo your entire research tree, at any time, without penalty.

ps.
You will notice a little screen flickering going on at the start, which we will soon remove. It's gathering some logging information for us so we can get to the bottom of a driver crash. Sorry for the annoyance.
