The Albino Hunter (Original) - 🍒CherryCo.Studios
Hello, everyone! It's Valentine's Day! ːsteamhearteyesː And what better time of year is it to hand out more virtual hugs! So virtual hugs for all! You get a hug! And you get a hug! And you get a double hug because you know you're extra special! ;D

I meant to make another entry into the Virtual Hugs series a while ago, but it just didn't work out. It's not like I was waiting for my book to come in, and waited three weeks just to find out that I would have to wait another three weeks for it to arrive! Total mystery! :D

~~YouTube Shenanigans~~

If you're in the mood for (sorta) romance, then here is this Youtuber I found who is really into the Romance Genre. So much so that she has an entire series dedicated to the personification of four different romance genres (Contemporary Romance, Paranormal Romance, Fantasy Romance, and Historical Romance), being friends with each other and giving each other womanly advice. :3 Such as how a man should apologize for breaking up with the main character by making jewelry out of the bones of her enemies! :D But, in all seriousness, though, my favourite series by her is Book Goblin, because, somehow, this extremist behaviour is very relatable. XD

Next up, if you're in more of a DnD mood, here is this guy I stumbled upon who does all sorts of DnD skits. He seems to be most famous for his shorts about the Bard, which as one comment pointed out, are basically the cheerleaders of DnD. XD Well, cheerleaders that seduce dragons...

For something a little more down to earth, here is Mason, conducting safety audits for pretty much...everywhere. XD Like Mordor, the Mushroom Kingdom, and Gringotts! He even has a series where he's trapped in the Sims! ...It's terrifying...

Oh, look who strikes again. XD (If Snow White was an Influencer.)

~~Asian Drama Recommendation You Are Totally, 100% Invested In~~
If you're going to spending Valentines Day alone like I am, then why not pick up on something light and fluffy to watch? This time I'm recommending Wrong Carriage Right Groom, because that one was a fun one that really surprised me! The title pretty much gives away the basic premise, but here I go anyway... XD

The story takes place in Ye Olde China (as a lot of these Asian Dramas I watch, do), where two women are getting married to guys they don't want to marry. One is a firecracker warrior babe who doesn't like being told what to do, and the other is a calm, stoic, thoughtful gal who is getting married as a means to sacrificially save her family from doom. On their way to their weddings in different towns, they get caught in a fierce rainstorm which causes them both to accidentally switch places and get toted off to the wrong town as well as the wrong groom. Firecracker girl ends up marrying the guy the calm gal was supposed to marry (a sickly guy with bad luck who is actually completely faking it), and calm gal ends up getting the guy that firecracker girl was supposed to marry (a widower general who looks like Steven He has had two wives already before who died due to reasons completely beyond his control). Which ends up being just fine by them, because they were kind of dreading the guys they were supposed to marry, and are much happier with their accidental husbands instead.

A couple things I like about this show. First of all, it doesn't have any of that annoying will-they-won't-they nonsense that is grating more and more on my nerves when I watch TV Shows nowadays. The girls already have their designated love interests, and apart from a couple of hiccups, it stays that way from beginning to end. Therefore, the majority of the story actually focuses on something new and interesting.

Second thing I appreciate is that there's no real "boy vs. girl" dynamics in the relationships. You would expect Little Miss Firecracker to be super domineering (which she is) and walk all over Sickly Guy, but he actually ends up being the dominant figurehead in their relationship. Why? Because he's smart and she listens to him. There's no arguing, there's no childish conversations about who should be in charge, there's just a silent understanding between them that they need to work together to accomplish their goals. And if that means letting the other person be in charge when it's appropriate, then so be it. The same goes for Calm Gal and General Guy--he lets her lead many times because he realizes that she is really good at thinking outside the box. But they're overall the more mellow couple of the show, so it's less noticeable.

That's not to say this show is without flaws, though. The fact that the main couples get together so easily, and that everything's so pleasant so early on, almost made me drop the show at one point, because I already felt satisfied with the status quo. I did keep going, and I'm glad I did, but it was definitely tempting to dip out at one point out of content-boredom.

The main reason I recommended this show for Valentine's Day is because it is, what I like to call, "Shipper Happy"--in that it's Trigger Happy with its ships. Apart from a couple of throwaway extras and a Eunuch, every character introduced is given a love interest. There are of course the two main couples, which are a given, but then there are these doctor characters who act as mentors, and what do you know? They happen to be long lost lovers and they get back together! Like...it was sweet, but it didn't feel earned? I would have preferred it if they were the one couple in the show that didn't get together right away, and waited until the very end to reconcile their differences. But as abrupt as that pairing was, it was not as bad as the random Princess that is randomly introduced halfway through because that one lovable side character needed a love interest. Sure. Why not? XD

Also, according to some of the comments I read, this show is a remake of a much older show of the same name. I can't tell you which version was better, but I thought the version I did watch, was cute, so that's the one I'm recommending. ;3

Despite its flaws, though, it's still a really fun watch. I didn't even get to the really sweet granny, and the story of the one designated evil couple, but I'll leave that intrigue for if you decide to watch the show. ;) Overall, a really lighthearted and fun experience about how sometimes little mix-ups can result in greater things happening.

Happy Valentines Day for those who are celebrating with someone they love and those who aren't! <3 <3 <3

  • Fixed a bug that was causing fish from the Dark biome to be displayed incorrectly
Hexahedra - Sidequest Ninja
Kickstarter Beta Update 12

A mysterious stranger in the factory, global records tracking, and Steam Workshop integration.

Bugs fixed: 37 (of which 1 was reported by a player, thank you!)

New Features
  • A mysterious stranger has appeared in Dantar's factory, even in the Demo. His paperwork appears legitimate, but there's something very odd about him. Check out the new level to get a first look at what he's up to. There are some additional new levels in the Kickstarter Beta as well.
  • A new screen has been added to tell you if you've set a new record for a level! You'll be able to see which categories you've set the record for - eventually this will tie into Steam achievements, but not yet. Note that you won't see the new screen for tutorial levels (which are now marked with an icon).
  • The Steam Workshop integration is complete! It's disabled for now, and will only work in the full version of the game, but behind the scenes it's ready to go. You'll be able to upload a custom puzzle that you've exported and solved (you need to prove a level is solvable before uploading it). If you subscribe to a puzzle on Steam, it'll be automatically downloaded and appear in-game. You won't even need to restart Hexahedra!
  • Workshop levels are fully integrated into the stats system, with their own histograms and friends leaderboards. They're not eligible for the New Record screen or achievements, however.

Other Changes
  • The tutorial for Level 3 (A Lick Of Paint) now points users to the colourblindness support available in the Options menu. The Options menu text has been tweaked in a few places to be clearer.
  • The foundations of the achievements system have been laid, but there's more work to be done there.
  • The Repeat Story icon now has its own custom animated icon, and a few other icons have been updated.

Bugfixes
  • Merging a cube with a payload into another cube no longer causes the payload to disappear.
  • Burial payload names are now correct on the cube visualizations.
  • Rewinding now works properly in the case where a Decorator stamps a new decoration on top of an old one.
  • If you set a new record for a level, the histogram tooltip no longer shows the old record.
  • Finding Octavius now makes the corresponding level available immediately.
  • Completing an Octavius level no longer shows the "Demo Complete" dialogue when returning to the main menu.
  • When running the factory when editing a custom puzzle the handles used to resize the factory are now hidden.
  • When you first load a custom puzzle the device UI no longer shows Sourcers and Shippers available for sources/targets that don't exist.
  • Fixed an error where pressing Puzzle Editor keyboard shortcuts would cause errors when playing normal levels.
  • Completing a custom puzzle no longer shows a "Next Level" button on the stats screen.
  • Fixed an error when updating the probabilities of cubes in a Random source and then attempting to run the factory in a custom puzzle.
  • Fixed a case where attempting to edit the name of a custom puzzle could cause an error.
  • Solutions to exported puzzles can now be deleted, and stats for exported puzzles now work correctly.
  • Colourblindness support symbols no longer appear in a couple of places they shouldn't.
  • Modal popups no longer trigger "button press" sound effects in response to keyboard input if the buttons are disabled.

Hi everyone,

Little update to change the defense/receive system.

NEW SYSTEM
  • Long balls : instead of having to hold BACKWARD and press A, you just have to press BACKWARD
  • Middle balls : no change (you press A to bump)
  • Short balls : instead of having to hold FORWARD and press A, you just have to press FORWARD

I know some of you could prefer the old system but it makes things way easier in the long run with this new system especially for fast plays where having to press A was a mess.
It will also avoid the "oh I pressed A before the arrow..." moments.

Have a nice day ♥
