Updated player movement by reducing wild strafing and bunny hop by adding more "weight" to the character:
Sprint speed has been slightly reduced by approx. 18%.
Stamina usage has been slightly increased by approx. 10%.
Player weight to reduce speed on wild (strafe) movement has been increased by approx. 80%.
Player friction to the ground has been increased by 40%.

Fixed the "Take Documents" display spelling error.
Fixed an issue that caused the "Hold F" UI bar for rally tent destroy to disappear.
Reduced offset bug on multiple UI elements (not fully fixed yet).
Fixed deployables that are tracked in FOB to not soft-lock.
Example: Spawn Tent not recognized as destroyed after invalid placement and can't be placed again (Placement limit reached).
Fixed an issue that caused the nearest supply point to a radio to be used first if multiple supply crates/vehicles are in FOB range.

Bayle's curse is spreading throughout Predecessor.

Equip the Cursed Profile Icon or Cursed Banner to become Infectious.
Infect on kill: When an Infectious player gets a kill, there’s a chance the victim becomes Cursed.
Choose your path:
Survive: Win as many games as possible without ever becoming Cursed to earn personal rewards.
Spread: Equip your cursed cosmetics and infect as many players as possible to unlock global rewards for everyone.
Definitions
Cursed: Your account owns the Cursed Profile Icon or Cursed Banner. This mark is permanent and irreversible.
Infectious: You are Cursed and you have either the Cursed Profile Icon or Cursed Banner equipped. Only Infectious players can spread the curse.

Trigger: A kill by an Infectious player.
Effect: The victim has a chance to become Cursed.
Game Modes: ARAM, NITRO, Standard, Ranked.
Notes: The chance per kill is random.
Once you are Cursed, your new job is to spread it. Equip your Cursed Icon/Banner and get to work.

Anyone who owns the Cursed Profile Icon or Cursed Banner is Cursed (ownership marks you permanently—even if not equipped).
In-match visibility: A player is Infectious (able to spread) only when the Icon or Banner is equipped.

Play Predecessor during the event window.
If you are Cursed, equip the Icon or Banner to become Infectious and spread the curse on kills.
If your aim is to Survive, avoid becoming Cursed and win as many games as possible.
Track the spread using the in game news widget or by following @PredecessorGame on socials.

Q: Does equipping the Icon/Banner make me Cursed?
A: Ownership makes you Cursed; equipping makes you Infectious (able to spread).
Q: Can I remove the curse?
A: No. It’s permanent once acquired.
Q: Do I have to equip to qualify for Cursed milestones?
A: Milestones count ownership (Cursed). Equipping only affects spreading.
Q: What happens if I get cursed on the last day?
A: You no longer qualify as a Survivor.
Q: Can I dispute a curse if I believe I gained it due to a bug or exploitative gameplay?
A: All curses are final and will not be re-evaluated during the event period.

The first part of Heroines of Swords & Spells is getting Chinese localization! But for this very reason, the release of Heroines of Swords & Spells 2 is being moved to November 27, 2025.
I apologize to the players for yet another delay. I really didn't want to test your trust, but some unforeseen issues have come up and they require additional time to resolve.
It was a wonderful surprise that Zephyr Lee was able to fully translate Act 1 of Heroines of Swords & Spells into Chinese in such a short time. I'm currently preparing a patch to add the new language to the game, but this requires a significant refactoring. Some plugins and scripts were originally written to support only two languages, Russian and English. Chinese characters require special text-wrapping rules, and these rules mustn't ‘accidentally’ affect the other languages.
I hope Zephyr Lee doesn't abandon Heroines of Swords & Spells and we see the Goblin DLC and Act 2 translated into Chinese in the future. Therefore, even though only Russian and English will be available at the launch of Heroines of Swords & Spells 2, the game databases need to be synchronized in advance to avoid any future save file issues.
Furthermore (and perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself a bit here), we are also in discussions about localizing Heroines of Swords & Spells into other languages. It's too early for a formal announcement, but it's better to adapt the game's databases and code now to support five or more languages. I didn’t plan for this originally, which is why I need extra time to ensure the project is properly prepared for its release.
