Through the second half of November, we’re taking some time to be thankful in our most delicious seasonal event, The Festive Feast! Running from 16th November - 30th November, celebrate the harvest season with a festival of feasting and thankfulness and a whole host of seasonal goodies in Paper Pirates!
The Chef is an active trait, appearing only in Trait+ games, which embodies the spirit of the Festive Feast. On day one, The Chef may pick any other pirate to share a meal with.
While The Chef is sharing a meal with another pirate, that pirate may use their active trait without spending any resources. This means that The Witch can brew potions without using up ingredients, The Reaper can enact pacts without spending souls, and any charge-based traits get unlimited uses.
The Chef doesn't restore used resources, so if you know The Chef is aboard you might want to be a bit more careful about which resources you spend and when. How will The Chef help, or hinder, the crew?
Our seasonal trait for The Festive Feast is The Quarterback! The Quarterback is gifted with an exploding football, and knows exactly how many days the football will take to explode.
They may pass the ball to any other pirate, who then has the chance to either pass it on to another pirate or keep hold of it in the pre-event phase of the next day. The Quarterback will always know exactly how many days there are until the football explodes, throwing the pirate currently holding it overboard. Can you trust The Quarterback's timings, or will you find yourself blown up by their lies?
Play Paper Pirates during The Festive Feast and you can make a festive wish once per day! Play at least one game, and after your voyage you'll receive a gift from the bounty board!
There are five American football-themed outfit pieces for you to collect from the daily quests, so make sure to play a game of Paper Pirates on five different days before the celebration ends on the 30th November!
We previously introduced a special harvest bounty with a super special reward for playing five games, of any mode, during the Festive Feast. If you missed your chance to complete the bounty last year, you have another chance to complete it this year to earn your super special reward!
If you did complete the bounty last year, you'll have another chance to complete it for a bumper bounty of coins - useful for visiting the Shop Ship and buying all the goodies you want!
During The Festive Feast, Sam Sherbot and Nat O’Bother have some new customisation options available to unlock in the Shop Ship! If you buy a customisation option during Festive Feast, you can use it all year round - but the items will be disappearing from sale when the event is over, so don’t delay and buy today! Additionally, during The Festive Feast pirates will be able to wear a unique hat - The Gobbler is available to everyone in voyages started during the event. Once the event’s over, the hat will disappear from your collection until next year, so be sure to complete your turkey outfit while you can!
Go on a sailing adventure during The Festive Feast, and your crew will have the chance to partake in the time-honoured ritual of wishing on a wishbone. During the Event phase of the game, the Wish on a Wishbone event may activate for the duration of The Festive Feast, offering two randomly chosen pirates the opportunity to wish for an event to occur. Which of the pirates will pull the larger half of the wishbone and have their wishes granted…? That’s all part of the fun of Wish on a Wishbone!
Invite some bots into your game during The Festive Feast, and you may find some of the regular crew replaced with some particularly festive bots, out to celebrate Thanksgiving! They’ll only join your games during The Festive Feast, but each has their own personality and appearance for you to enjoy.
Special mention to the community who put in the effort to report bugs. Clearly, without you, I can’t imagine how many players would have bought the game, played, ended up soft locked, or run into numerous bugs before ultimately closing the game for good.
Bug fixes :
as long as both teleporters are not placed, they cannot function (this prevents resources from spawning on a bend, T or X and getting stuck)
firing an employee no longer causes lag
the tutorial at the beginning of the game can no longer soft lock the player
fixed decorative elements that could be crafted on top of each other
added an event control system (not sure it works 100%) to avoid getting blocked

Retains some previous gameplay while adding and optimizing numerous features:
Check-in System: Check in every 90 seconds in any scene for random rewards.
Imperial Observatory: Access via the Harem. Spend currency to recruit treasures.
Harem: Access via the Rogues' Den. Only Consort Zhang remains. Unlock outfit changes at Lv. 30.
Rogues' Den: Player headquarters. Generates EXP or currency periodically. Access Harem, Vermilion Street. Unlocks Mausoleum after triggering Stellar Order quest.
Vermilion Street (Night): Keep "Night Patrol" gameplay. Defeat assassins for currency, silver, and EXP. Unlock Temporal Mirror.
Temporal Mirror: Watch adult-only anime videos. Costs currency or silver. Some videos require progressing through the story.
Moonrise Pavilion: After staying overnight, unlock new quests and Diaochan's training feature.
Mausoleum: Stellar Order assassin base. Tap enemy portraits to instantly defeat them for rewards.
Vanguard: Appears in the Mausoleum ~30 seconds after entering. Defeat to learn new skill "Dragon Spring Quad Slash".
Moonkiss: New heroine, Diaochan's mentor, leader of the Stellar Order. Unlock challenge and training after defeating once.
All gameplay features are replayable. Characters can be leveled up indefinitely.
