Wallpaper Engine - Tim
Wallpaper Engine 2.5 adds new features for end-users and content creators alike. The update also includes a lot of bug fixes and overall maintenance work. In anticipation of upcoming changes to the desktop experience on Windows 11, we have upgraded many parts of the app for better compatibility.

Retiring Support for Windows 7 and Windows 8
Since Steam has officially dropped support for Windows 7 and Windows 8 in January 2024, we are now following suit for the same reason: third-party libraries that we require are not being updated for these older versions of Windows anymore. Maintaining ongoing support would prevent us from providing complete updates for Windows 10 and 11.

If you are one of the 0.5% Steam users running Windows 7 or Windows 8, we have prepared a way for you to roll back to Wallpaper Engine 2.4. This allows you to continue to use the previous version of the app. To learn more, see this article on our FAQ website:
New Features
New Playlist Transitions
As part of our clean-up process, we have completely overhauled the way transitions work for playlists and implemented almost 30 different transition animations that you can use to customize your playlist even further.

Here is a selection of some of our favorites. While these are a little bit eccentric, the app also features much simpler fade animations. Be sure to check all transitions out by clicking on the Configure button in the playlist area of the Installed tab. You can also set the playlist animation to Random to create a selection of your favorite transitions.

"Bullets"
"Black Hole"
"CRT Screen"
"Ice"
Improved Display Clone Functionality
We have also overhauled the display clone functionality to future-proof it for upcoming versions of Windows 11. The clone functionality now also allows you to horizontally mirror a cloned display which enables you to easily achieve a symmetrical look and feel on a dual screen setup, for example.

To mirror a cloned display, navigate to the Displays tab in the app, then select the Clone single wallpaper option from the list. Then right-click on a display and select Flip clone display:

New Editor Features
New Light Shafts Asset / Effect
One of the most frequently-used assets are the so-called Light shafts. We weren't particularly happy with the quality and the customizability of this asset which is why we have created an entirely new version of it that allows you to fine-tune and arrange it much more precisely than the old version:

To learn more about the new asset / effect, take a look at our designer documentation:
Puppet Warp Improvements
For puppet warp animations, we have improved various details which you can find in the changelog below. One critical aspect to note is that we have overhauled the underlying system in which puppet warp models are stored. If you now open an old project in the latest version of the app, you are asked to start a conversion process. While the conversion should work well in most cases, we still highly recommend to create a backup of your project before attempting this to ensure that you will not corrupt your project files. The editor will show an appropriate warning to give you a heads-up.
Character Sheet Improvements
One improvement we want to highlight is the ability to better connect individual limbs in character sheets as shown in the following video snippet:

You can now define weights across individual limbs which will allow Wallpaper Engine to better merge them during animation scenarios as shown in the example above. We have summed up these changes in our designer documentation. To learn about how to utilize this new feature, check out the "Blending across weight islands" section on the following docs page: For a full list of all changes, improvements and bug fixes, see the full changelog ahead:

Guardians Frontline - Electro_UK
Hi everyone!

A new free update for Guardians Frontline (Update 6) is now officially live on Meta Quest and Steam!

New stuff
 • The Queen: The Federation has found a new enemy on a remote planet, known as 'the Queen' because of her big size. This enemy has weak points that should be targeted for a quick death (head and tail), attacking other areas will take considerably longer
 • Bug’s Nydus Tunnels: The enemy has now built its own portals! They can navigate using these portals, from an entrance to an exit. These entrances and exits can be destroyed with explosives, but they regenerate. To permanently destroy the tunnel, you must destroy both the entrance and exit.
 • Support The Game: A new control panel in the spaceship allows you to support the developers by purchasing a package of interesting items (research point, minerals, and exclusive avatars). While this is completely optional, the developers will be very grateful for any support, as it helps sustain the game's development
 • 18 New Weapon Skins!
 • Black Energy Sword Skin
 • Conquer Mode Time Limit: Map makers can now set a time limit for their Conquer maps. If the Guardians fail to win before this time runs out, they lose the game.
 • Squad only maps. Map makers can now configure the missions to be Squad mode only.
 • Medic Gun research. On the research panel, there's a new upgrade to the Medic Gun to double its capacity.
 • New PvP Accolades. Additional achievements have been added for PvP to help push this game mode (Win 5 PvP games, Kill 10 players in PvP, Win a supremacy game, Win a deathmatch game, Win a team Deathmatch game, Win a Destroy the Gate game).
 • New Squad Mode Accolade: Win a Squad mode game.
Improvements
 • Two new volume selectors have been added to the settings menu: Weapon's volume and Voice Chat Volume.
 • Friend lists are now stored on our servers to make sure they aren’t lost anymore when reinstalling the game or the progress from another account.
 • The Arack and the Queen are now available in Hangar to practice in the spaceship hangar.
 • Revive from player list: You can now revive other players directly from the player list menu, and when reviving the players, they will respawn at a player spawn point.
 • Added an option to reset the local progress on steam.
Fixes
 • Fixed being able to exchange magazines from other weapons endlessly increasing the bullet count.
 • Falling off the map in squad mode now will just respawn the player without killing them.
 • Teleport would stop working sometimes due to the angle between the player and the landing spot.
 • Fixed being able to get into some places with teleport locomotion
 • Fixed a rare issue where the galaxy conquest was shown as completed, causing the player to lose all their influence points in that galaxy.
 • Fixed an issue where the game occasionally failed to give the avatar at the end of the galaxy conquest if the player hadn't opened the galaxy tab and pressed Start.
 • Fixed pressing joystick while having a mission selected would make the game fail to load that map correctly
 • Fixed the Arack behaving incorrectly when dying while burrowing.
 • Fixed Arack sounds not being affected by the volume controls.
 • Fixed some cases where editor asset groups would not count towards the total asset number.
Editor
 • Standalone Enemy Spawner Volume: You can now add a volume that spawns the configured enemies when a player enters the volume.
 • Wave Tags: In Conquer games you can now tag any wave as defensive wave so any player attacking a nest will trigger this wave instead of the standard 2 Arthos defensive wave.
 • Added 10 new skyboxes in the map editor (they will be replaced with the winners on Discord)
That's it for now, fellow Guardians!! As always we hope you like this new update and please let us know what you think about the new features.

Time to kill some bugs!

Cheers!

Histera - Marty-GD
To all Contenders,

First of all we want to extend an extra heartfelt apology for the delay of Histera's launch two weeks ago. We know many of you were eagerly counting down the days, and we apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this may have caused. Your enthusiasm means the world to us, and we are committed to making this right and giving you the experience you desire and deserve.

Why the delay?
Unfortunately, we ran into performance issues that affected key aspects of the game. The impact didn’t surface until closer to launch. All though we worked 24/7 to try and solve issues, we couldn’t address them properly in the short time frame that we had. Fixing these issues is our top priority and we are thankful that Unity jumped in to help us.

Progression of the Development
Besides fixing these issues, a portion of the team is continuing the development of the game to perfect the experience even more. More content post Early Access Launch is being worked on such as; new features, game modes, and skins. Rest assured, your wait will be worthwhile!

Free Weapon Skins!
As a token of our gratitude for your continued support and patience, we will be offering two exclusive weapon skins for free to all players that log in during the first week. We hope these skins will enhance your gameplay experience and serve as an apology for any inconvenience we may have caused.

Things to do while you wait
We understand that the wait can feel long so here’s some things you can do in the meantime

• Get a playlist ready for your high-octane Histera matches
• Warm up in aim trainer
• Go for a hike or a walk in nature. Before you’re stuck inside for 2 weeks straight
• Make sure you do your laundry

More Info Soon
We will provide an updated launch date as soon as possible. Please stay tuned for further announcements and updates. Thank you for standing by us as we strive to perfect Histera.

See you in the dome,

Aaero - foxache

It's been a very long process but we were determined to get it right before we released it.

The sequel to Aaero is nearly finished. We've addressed every single piece of feedback that we could find on the first game. The whole game has been rebuilt from scratch with a completely redesigned combat system and now has 2 player, both co-op and pvp available locally and online.

We're expecting Aaero2 to release on Steam in December 2024.

Please check out our Indiegogo campaign for more information, the latest videos and to get hold of early copies of the game.

War Thunder - Blitzkrieg Wulf

The Western Front is opening! Take part in Ground Battles during the Operation Overlord event as part of our event cycle to receive the Churchill AVRE. This legendary armored vehicle, integral to the Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers, was a direct participant in the battles for Normandy, and you can earn this main reward during this event! Celebrate the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in War Thunder!

When: From June 5th (11:00 GMT) until June 17th (11:00 GMT), earn mission points in Ground Battles, unlock stages and receive rewards!

Churchill AVRE — A Premium Heavy Tank for Great Britain at Rank II

The Churchill AVRE was first used on D-Day during the Normandy Landings and is armed with a 230 mm Spigot Mortar, specifically designed for use against fortifications. It fires a huge projectile also known as the “Flying Dustbin” that weighs 18 kg, enough to put fear into any enemy tank that it comes up against!

“Emblem of the V Corps” decal
“Emblem of the 1st Special Service Brigade” decal
“Flying Dustbin” decoration

Among the rewards in the event is also this chest, where, when opened, brings the chance to receive one of the following items:
 • 50,000 - 100,000 Silver Lions
 • Silver Lion and Research Point boosters
 • Random Wagers and Orders
 • Universal Backups (1 - 3)
 • A random camouflage for a vehicle you own
 • 1 day of Premium Account

How to get all rewards
Each stage can be obtained for 35,000 mission points, where every new stage obtained will give you a new reward.

Please note: After finishing a stage, you need to collect the reward manually. To do this, click on your name in-game, go to “Operation Overlord: Churchill AVRE” and click the “Get Reward” button.

You’re able to earn mission points in Ground Battles at Rank III or above in Arcade, Realistic and Simulator Battles. The number of mission points to complete a stage depends on the game mode and the maximum Rank of the vehicle that you use in battle. There’s a multiplier for earning mission points, which is shown in the task description in-game.

You can also earn mission points by using event vehicles that are Rank I and II. Event vehicles that can be used have the name of the event that they were obtainable in on their stat card.

Stages change every two days at 11:00 GMT on June 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th and 15th.

Rewards are given when you complete a specific number of stages
 • For 1 Stage: trophy with a random reward
 • For 2 Stages: one of the decal rewards
 • For 3 Stages: trophy with a random reward
 • For 4 Stages: one of the decal rewards
 • For 5 Stages: “Flying Dustbin” decoration
 • For 6 Stages: non-tradable coupon for Churchill AVRE

Discounts on purchasing stages using Golden Eagles
Unfinished stages can be purchased for Golden Eagles, but If you’re significantly close to completing a stage, its price will now be significantly reduced.

Let’s say you have earned 85% of the required mission points to complete a stage, then the price of purchasing this stage will be halved. If you’re near the finish line for a stage and are at 95% progress, then the price will be reduced by five times. For example, if you’ve scored 30,000 mission points, then the price for unlocking this stage will be 349 Golden Eagles. If you’ve scored 33,500 mission points, then you’ll only need to pay 139 Golden Eagles. Remember to keep this in mind if you cannot complete a stage on time!

The Upgrade for coupon
When you complete 6 stages, you’ll receive a non-tradable coupon for the Churchill AVRE, where using it will immediately activate the vehicle onto your account. If you don’t want the vehicle and would like to sell the coupon on the Market, you’ll need the “Upgrade for coupon” item.

The “Upgrade for coupon” item can be earned in parallel with the stages throughout the event from June 5th (11:00 GMT) until June 17th (11:00 GMT) for 500,000 mission points.

After receiving the “Upgrade for coupon” item, you can convert a non-tradable coupon for the vehicle into a tradable one and sell it on the Market. The tradable coupon can be sold after 6 days from the moment it’s created.

To make a tradable coupon, select the “Coupon Churchill AVRE (Great Britain)” in your inventory and click the “Modify” button.

The “Upgrade for coupon” item is valid until 11:00 GMT on June 20th. Until this time, you can use it or exchange it for War Bonds. Afterwards, it’ll disappear from your inventory.

You can track the progress of completing stages and receiving the “Upgrade for coupon” by clicking on your Nickname > Achievements > Operation Overlord. If you don’t manage to complete a stage on time or would like to purchase a stage, until June 20th from the Achievements window, you can purchase each stage with Golden Eagles which will give you the corresponding rewards.
