I probably should label this short update a (lack of) Progress Report.

Incredible Puzzle Pack

There is a new puzzle pack on the way with 161 new puzzles based upon the original puzzles in The Incredible Machine. Wanted to get it out in September - may be out this month - will be out by Christmas at the latest. My son is working on it. I need to go through it very carefully and verify that everything looks good.

Mighty Knights

I've changed the way the knights interact with each other. This almost needs to be interactive where you can make changes as the levels are running.

Minigolf Blast

I've been going through hole by hole adjusting things. Adding more interactive elements. Doing Next Fest in February and then releasing as Early Access right after that. Could release now as Early Access and the cash flow would be very helpful, but want it to be better.

There is a new demo build out that has some of the changes in there.

Here is an example of a hole that I'm currently working on. Started out with just a few blockers. Added more and also game them bouncy surfaces. Then added Treasure Chests and Skulls that can give bonuses or penalties. Partway through making changes to this hole.



Finally... I'm off to UCSF (San Francisco) with my son next week. He had a liver transplant at 4 months. His liver lab numbers are up and so they want to do a ultrasound and then a biopsy. Hopefully just a quick stay and then back home. Driving from Oklahoma to California on Sunday. Not looking forward to the 24 hour drive.
Tales from Candleforth - Under the Bed Games
Hello! Today we want to share how Drawtober led to the creation of Tales from Candleforth 🎮🎃



First, for those unfamiliar with these drawing challenges, it's basically about drawing different themes throughout the month, whether they're weekly, daily, etc. Some people use it to draw their own characters, others to step out of their comfort zones... I've been drawing since forever but I'm not doing it professionally. That year, I wanted to jump in and I had a specific setting in mind and wanted to play around with it during the Drawtober 2021: a village nestled in a valley, shrouded by a forest, inhabited by a demonic creature with a pumpkin head, and a girl entangled in dark magic... all very folk horror, as I was highly inspired by similar themes seen in "Over the Garden Wall" or the movie "The Witch".






After finishing the challenge, I wanted more than just drawings. That's when the thought of making a video game popped into my head. I've been a gamer since forever, so the idea excited me. But I'm all about the art, not the techy side. I felt like a complete rookie to do it like a solodev.
Then, in the months that followed, I jumped into a program that helps projects grow, where you meet others looking for teamwork. I hoped it would help me figure out my game plan. All I had were some rough ideas and sketches. But I emerged with a demo, a studio and investors in my corner. It's still unbelievable. I know loads of amazing projects never see daylight, so I'm beyond grateful that we have come this far in the game.




In the incubation program, spanish industry pros like Luis Oliván (Do not Feed teh Monkeys) mentored me, pushing me to turn my idea into a game. They helped us shape the concept: a 2D puzzle game with a surreal folk horror style. I laid out the plan and teamed up with the right crew to make it all real, and after about 9 months of hard work, we had a demo for "Tales from Candleforth". It was a tiny, humble start, but it totally had the vibes we wanted for the full deal.





Despite battling imposter syndrome, seeing people try the game and win awards at events was surreal and thrilling. I mean, just a year ago, being at a game expo with my own booth and people trying out our game was beyond my wildest dreams. We were over the moon.



I'll stop here to keep it short, but if you enjoyed reading this, I'd love to share how we got investors for the full game, its development, and suddenly becoming the head of my own studio and company. By the way, we're aiming to release the game in the next 6 months (date to be announced)

Station to Station - littleoliphant
Hello conductors,

It’s been just over a week since we released Station to Station on Steam and our journey doesn’t end there... As we approached release and saw the amazing response to our game from the community, we made plans to add additional bonus content after launch!

We've thoroughly enjoyed making Station to Station, so we want to continue to update Station to Station into 2024.

Here’s a brief overview of our plans, but we’ll go into more detail below.



Update 1 - November
Our first update will be coming as soon as next month (November 2023) and will bring with it a whole new region to explore! That means 5 (or 6!) new levels, with new industries and new cards to discover!

Our team is currently hard at work creating this update so we don’t have anything to show off yet, but we should have some more information to share with you soon.

Here’s a tiny hint: ⛏️

Update 2 - December
In December we will be releasing our second update.

This update will mainly focus on updating pre-existing content, but will also add a highly requested feature from our community that we weren’t able to squeeze in before launch - Photo Mode! Easily take screenshots of your beautiful scenes with free camera movement.

This update will also bring with it brand new levels that will be added to our current regions, as well as new options for generating custom levels.

Future Updates
We have so much more planned for the future of Station to Station and we hope you’ll stick around to see what we’re creating!

All of the content listed above will also be free updates to give back to our wonderful community. Station to Station is our first game as a studio and we really appreciate all of your support so far.

But if you can’t wait for these next updates, then don’t worry! Something spooky may be pulling into Station to Station before the end of the month… 👻

Hello friends! Every Friday 17:30 UTC/GMT we hold a “Let’s play together” competition. During next 24 hours everyone is welcome to try and score the best time in a preselected level. Join our Discord server and keep Discord running while playing — your results will be automatically published in the #lets-play-together channel. You need to get 5 stars to qualify.

Glittering prizes include:

However, one fateful Halloween night, amidst a powerful ritual intended to strengthen the barrier between realms, something went horribly wrong. A coven of ambitious witches sought to harness the ritual's energy to gain power over time itself. But their greed disrupted the delicate balance of the ceremony.

Galactic Ruler - Chris-BattleGoat
Over the last few months work has picked up again on Galactic Ruler as we start to integrate improvements made for Supreme Ruler 2030 into GR. We've had 2 updates on Fasttrack so far and both have seemed relatively stable. Stable enough that we've now made this an official public update. Below you'll find the full changelog for this update.

We have more work planned, so stay tuned for further news.

The game option for Boosted Fasted Game Speed from SR2030 now exists in GR as well. When on, game speed is capped. When off, it's the same as before. It can be found in the Game Options - General section
