Hello, survivors!
In this update, you can expect a new in-game event “Foxy's secrets”, the ability to call an artillery strike on your enemies on the “Fortress” map, a new temporary mission, important balance tweaks and other changes and improvements.

Foxy’s secrets
Attention! The event and pack will be available until August 16 inclusive!

  • The levels and corresponding rewards are unlocked as you complete special challenges and earn event experience points.
  • Event experience points are required to unlock levels and receive rewards.
  • As part of this event, you will be receiving new challenges: 1 main and 1 additional challenge.
  • The challenges are updated every 24 hours.
  • The base event rewards are available to all players without exception. They include:
  • 50 in-game coins;
  • Certain stickers, paint and decor “Short orange lamp”;
  • Containers with resources;
  • Engineer badges;
  • Coupons for special and epic workbenches.
  • All additional rewards (marked with a lock icon on an orange background) are only available to those who have purchased the “Foxy’s secrets” pack (standard or deluxe version). Purchasing the deluxe version immediately unlocks the following 10 levels and all the rewards of the unlocked levels.
  • Purchasing the pack gives you access to:
  • A number of already produced and upgraded parts;
  • Recipes for the production of these parts on the event workbench, as well as the ability to remove upgrades from them in order to sell them on the market;
  • Additional 600 in-game coins;
  • Additional stickers, paints and decor (including a new hologram);
  • Storage expansion;
  • Ability to produce certain parts during the event;
  • For each subsequent level, starting from 50, you will receive the “M-25 Guardian” machine gun as a reward. These machine guns can be used in the production of parts on a special event workbench, as well as sold or used in upgrades.

New temporary mission “Control (respawn)”
  • Unlike in the familiar “Control”, in the new mission it’s not possible to win only by destroying all the enemies, due to the respawns after destruction.
  • The victory is awarded to the team that will control 2 out of 3 bases.
  • The waiting time to respawn increases each time your car is destroyed.
  • The mission is played on 3 maps:
    • Orbital station.
    • Ship graveyard.
    • Chemical plant.
Missions

The “Slaughter” mode has been temporarily added to the “Assault”, “Encounter” and “Control” modes mission rotation. We remind that:
  • Slaughter is a team confrontation where you need to score a certain number of points faster than the opposing team.
  • If the required number of points is not scored within the allotted time, the victory is awarded to the team with the most points.
  • Points are issued for the destruction of separates parts and armoured vehicles of the enemies.
  • The mode no longer has the self-destruct restrictions that were present in previous variations.
  • The mode has respawns.
  • Battles are held on the following maps:
    • Abandoned town;
    • Ravagers foothold;
    • Chemical plant.
Raids
  • Now, during raids, as well as on the results screen, the amount of damage dealt by players is displayed, and the leader, who dealt the biggest amount of damage, is additionally highlighted.
  • Also, the results screen now displays the amount of damage that was inflicted on players’ armoured vehicles.

Fortress

Thanks to the clever use of artillery, you now have the opportunity to turn the tide of battle on this map!

Now, a special terminal is available on the map, and its activation will launch artillery shells at your enemies. Damage from such projectiles will only be dealt to players of the opposing team. Artillery support can be called once every 20 seconds (the reload time is common for all team members).

Don’t forget that your opponents can also use the terminal and don’t lose this strategically important point out of your sight!

Attention! The ability to fire an artillery strike is available only in missions (“Encounter” mode).

Ghost
  • Improved the physical model of the cabin: now any wheels can be freely mounted in the wheel arches.
Bumpers
  • Reduced the resistance to melee damage from 90% to 80% for all bumpers, except for the “Impact” bumper.
  • Reduced the resistance to melee damage for the “Impact bumper” from 80% to 70%.
Comment: bumpers are very effective in countering melee damage, which is especially noticeable after the frequency of their use as armour has greatly increased. Many will notice that the change is not as radical as in the first announcement — we decided to stop at these values and see if they would be sufficient in the game server conditions.

All turret cannons from “Little Boy 6LB” to “ZS-52 Mastodon”
  • Ammunition increased to 14 shells.
All cannons from “Judge 76mm” to “CC-18 Typhoon”
  • Ammunition increased to 12 shells.
Comment: cannons are weapons that are highly dependent on ammunition and, in the current realities, there may not be enough ammunition for them.

Prosecutor 76mm
  • Penetration ability increased from 10% to 25%.
Comment: the cannon’s effectiveness decreased a lot after all the changes, but bringing back the 2-pin penetration of the structure would be an overly powerful enhancement. Therefore, we are improving its penetration ability.

Executioner 88 mm
  • Penetration ability increased from 10% to 30%.
  • Durability increased from 600 to 655 pts.
Comment: just like with the “Prosecutor”, the parameters of the “Executioner” were also greatly reduced. These changes will help restore the cannon to its effectiveness and relevance.

Elephant
  • Damage increased by 15%.
  • Penetration increased from 80% to 100%.
  • Improved accuracy.
Comment: the cannon’s effectiveness is noticeably lower than that of its epic equivalents.

“BC-17 Tsunami” and “CC-18 Typhoon”
  • Blast damage increased by 9%.
  • Penetration ability increased from 65% to 75%.
Comment: even after the change in damage dealing mechanics, the effectiveness of these cannons remained at an insufficient level.

ZS-46 Mammoth
  • Damage increased by 23%.
  • A direct hit now increases the cannon’s damage by 10% for 10 sec. (instead of 20% before).
Comment: with this change we make the cannon less dependent on its perk and preserve its maximum damage.

Cricket
  • Rate of fire increased by 28%.
  • Improved accuracy.
Comment: the “Cricket” was insufficiently effective when compared to other epic weapons. Increased accuracy and rate of fire will help in the implementation of its perk and inflicting the maximum possible damage.

Barrier IX
  • Shield activation time increased from 1 sec. to 2 sec.
  • Cooldown increased from 20 sec. to 25 sec.
Comment: turrets have become an overly effective way of blocking damage. Reducing the possible frequency of shield deployment should bring the parameters in line with those expected. The implementation of the turret’s capabilities will become more dependent on thoughtful actions on the battlefield.

Synthesis
  • Penetration ability increased from 10% to 30%.
  • Damage increased by 10%.
Prometheus V
  • Penetration ability increased from 10% to 30%.
Helios
  • Penetration ability increased from 10% to 30%.
  • Damage increased by 12%.
Comment: the effectiveness of plasma emitters was greatly reduced after the change in the mechanics of dealing damage. Their penetration ability turned out to be too weak, and the projectile stopped its flight after colliding with the first part in its path. Also, the damage of “Synthesis” and “Helios” didn’t correspond to their rarity.

AC80 Stillwind
  • Damage reduced by 10%.
Comment: the autocannon’s ratio of damage to energy drain was too advantageous compared to other “legendary” weapons.

Cyclone
  • Initial rate of fire increased by 25%.
  • Maximum rate of fire increased by 14%.
  • The time required to reach the maximum rate of fire increased from 3 to 4 sec.
  • Durability increased from 661 to 714 pts.
Comment: our statistics showed that the “Cyclone” needs small improvements aimed at improving damage and survivability in battles. Changes to the rate of fire will also help the autocannon to become more effective. As a result, the autocannon’s rate of fire at any given moment will be higher than before these changes were made.

Draco
  • Damage reduced by 6%.
Firebug
  • Damage reduced by 8%.
Comment: by gaining the ability to deal damage through the parts that let damage through, the flamethrowers became very effective. We don’t want to deprive them of this feature, and therefore we reduce the damage they deal.

Kapkan
  • The delay before activating the mine has been increased from 1 sec. to 2 sec.
Comment: “delay” refers to the time from setting the mine until it is able to capture the enemy. This change should reduce the effectiveness of planting mines directly in front of the enemy and give him a little more time to react.

Aspect
  • Damage increased by 23%.
  • Now, when the machine gun is fully heated, its damage increases by 30% (instead of 60% before).
Comment: as with the “Mammoth”, we are making the weapon less dependent on its perk and preserving the maximum damage.

Pulsar
  • Changed the weapon’s perk. Pulsar will now deal 30% more damage to modules.
Comment: the previous perk of the “Pulsar” for increasing blast radius had almost no effect on the effectiveness of the weapon. Now successful hits will help you to quickly deprive the enemies of vital equipment on their armoured cars.

Parser
  • Durability reduced from 320 to 290 pts.
Comment: for a weapon capable of firing at long distances, the “Parser” had a very high durability parameter.

Scorpion
  • Damage reduction as parts are penetrated is now 6% faster.
  • Reloading time increased from 5 sec. to 5.5 sec.
  • Increased dependence of accuracy on movement speed.
Comment: with the old mechanics, the weapon’s damage was excessive, but this was offset by the “screen” armour. Now, it has become easier to implement damage and the average effectiveness of the “Scorpion” has increased. The changes should slightly increase the cost of a miss and make the weapon more dependent on the player’s skills.

Harvester
  • Changed the perk: now damage is increased by 30% for every second of contact with the enemy. The effect stacks up to 7 times and gradually resets every second when the weapon doesn’t deal damage.
Comment: the weapon depends too much on Tesla emitters, but even with them it shows insufficient effectiveness. We have decided to return the old perk to the “Harvester” while also rebalancing its parameters. We took into account the community’s concerns about the fact that increasing the initial damage could cause possible issues with overestimated total damage of the weapon, and decided to make the Harvester’s effectiveness more dependent on the usage of its perk. Now each charge of the perk adds more damage, there are more charges, and they are not reset as quickly as originally intended.

  • Added articles about projectile penetration, damage protection and damage resistance to the in-game guide.
  • Now the parameter “Range” is called “Effective range”, because the scale reflects the average indicator between the optimal and maximum possible firing range.
  • Improved the logic of the fuel tank replenishment window: now only one window is displayed with the choice of fuel amount and confirmation.
  • Added display of events related to activity in the clan to the notification center.
  • Updated the icon of the “Clans” section.

  • Fixed a bug where a quick transition to a blueprint from the exhibition and checking used parts would result in an incomplete loading of the car parts list.
  • Fixed a bug with the lack of visual effect of pellet flight for the “Parser” and “Breaker” shotguns.
  • Fixed a bug that made it possible to mount a cannon so that its muzzle passed between two “AC80 Stillwind” autocannons mounted close to each other.
  • Fixed a bug with flashing smoke while an armoured car is skidding.
  • Improved the painting mask of the upper elements of the “Pegasus” engine.

  • Fixed paint direction for the “Machinist”, “Deadman” and “Cockpit” cabins.

  • Fixed a bug where aiming with the “Incinerators” on the “Volcano” map could dim the screen.
  • Fixed a bug where precise firing with cannons on the “Orbital station” map could dim the screen.
  • Fixed a bug where the brake lights were activated all the time while the vehicle equipped with augers or the “Omni” wheels was moving backward or forward.
  • Fixed a bug where the talent of Atitlan could be triggered within a volley of multiple projectiles, although it should only be triggered on the next volley after charging.
  • Fixed a bug due where a certain sequence of actions when viewing a pack caused the car from this pack to be displayed in the garage as assembled.
  • Improved the painting mask of the “Thor-6S” generator. Now paint textures do not stretch on some elements of the part.
  • Fixed a bug where moving “To the pack” transition through the context menu item led to all parts not available in the storage to be painted black.
  • Corrected the placement of the missions “Patrol” and “Back on patrol” on the world map.
  • Improved a number of in-game texts, descriptions and icons.

This is easily one of the biggest updates since the game launched in Early Access. And we hope that you'll love it.

We've reset the leaderboard of the Infinity mode (you can try to be the best on the board again ^^).

- Fixed a bug that caused quest marks to appear on pet npc.
- Fixed a bug where the same pet could be obtained twice from the pet machine and the transfer npc when transferring items. After that, the transfer data will be received from the pet machine.
- Fixed a bug where you could not clear the fragment acquisition mission by using the enchant scroll.
- Fixed an issue where the floor puzzle that lowers when ridden on could not be undone.

  • Removed "What is your favorite gift?" from NPC dialogs. They now tell you from time to time.
  • Completely revised the dialog with Destiny in Brendylynn's house to fix some edge conditions.
  • Revised Destiny's good morning messages, so she doesn't say the same thing all the time.
  • When Brendylynn collapses from hunger, thirst, or lack of stamina. She now actually collapses, and lays there for a few seconds before we fade to black.

Howdy, everyone. It's time for another weekly update. This one's less new content and more improving systems and features in-game presently to more align with player expectation. We'll also touch a bit on what to expect in Chapter One. Let's tuck in:

Changes to the Hunger system



It's Only Money started life as more a crime simulation game, as opposed to light hearted and ridiculous world it exists as today, as such there's a lot of systems that players feel at are at odds with their understanding of the world and game at large. Hunger has been one of these contentious systems. We stand by our decision of developing IOM's city and experience to be more than set dressing, or a shell of where you just so happen to do crimes - but we also want to move in unison with the demands of the players who are enjoying playing around in Rockhaven. We want you to learn store locations, to interact with the various items in-game, to manage your character and their well being, but we don't want to blindly force players to engage in a way that they don't find fulfilling. To that end, we're now looking at ways to reward players who engage with these systems, instead of them being punishing quotas you have to meet.

The first system to fall in line with this kind of thinking is Hunger. You'll notice with this update that the hunger wheel is now divided into four pips. Eating food will fill the wheel as usual, but every time you pass one of the pips thresholds, you'll now get a bonus to your attack power. So, there's no overt negative for going hungry for awhile, but if you manage to keep a full belly, you'll hit a wee bit harder. A reward for all that eating.

The attack increases are as follows:

0-25 Slice 1: No benefit

25-50 Slice 2: +2 Attack (Full)

50-75 Slice 3: +5 Attack (Very Full)

75-100 Slice 4: +10 Attack (Perfectly Full)


Additionally, you'll notice that higher quality foods impart the "Eating" buff (more on buff visualisations in a bit!). The "Eating" buff speeds up your inherent HP regeneration for 5 seconds. So, if you need a quick burst of HP, eating good food is a great way to do this. Lower quality foods like Chunkum Fish, or the MayorMart Food Puck do not impart this bonus. No matter where your hunger wheel sits, you will ALWAYS recover HP slowly, unless a debuff explicitly determines otherwise.

Sleeping gets an overhaul, too



Getting tired in IOM caused a debuff which negatively impacted your max health, among other statistics in game. It's clear, this was an annoyance for a lot of players. Given our exploration into the mantra of "rewarding rather than punishing", the Tired mechanic was a perfect candidate for this glo-up, too.

There is no longer a negative impact for choosing not to sleep. If you do choose to have a wee nap on a park bench, or a bed you've placed in a property, you'll instead get a range of 10 minute buffs that help your character get after it more effectively.

Rested (Park benches)- Increased HP regen by 1 per second, +10 max stamina

Well Rested - Increased (Normal quality beds) HP regen by 2 per second, +20 max stamina

Perfectly Rested (High quality beds) -Increased HP regen by 3 per second, +30 max stamina, decreased Hunger drain by 10%

Exposing Buffs/Debuffs



Another thing we wanted to focus on in this update is better surfacing information as it happens. While there's still work to do in various facets of the game, this week we chose to focus on Buffs/Debuffs as they pertain to items. Item cards, whether looking at them via a Kiosk, or highlighting an item in your inventory will now show what perks fire off for using an item. Additionally, a UI element will activate on-screen when a buff or debuff is applied to your character, and what it entails.


Weapon UI



Whenever you have a weapon equipped, or you're simply using fists, there's now an exposed numerical value that shows the inherent damage of said fists or weapon, plus additional damage from buffs, as well as remaining weapon durability. The last hit before a weapon breaks does double damage, so stacking the aforementioned buffs with a final hit can be a devastating one-hitter-quitter technique on the streets of Rockhaven. More work on weapons is being done, specifically to highlight other statistics weapons have, such as block pass-through (overflow) damage, which will come in a later update.

What about Chapter One?



As mentioned last week, Chapter One is in full development swing, with some exciting prospects for the future of It's Only Money. Last week we introduced Maude, one of the Mayor's Elites, and the primary antagonist for Chapter One. She controls the first business you and the Undercitizens will aim to crush and takeover.

We've got a slew of missions in the pipeline, a new business HUB to manage, the aforementioned takeover and of course, a new Crookbook multiplayer game, which leads us to the next point:

Crookbook games going forward can be played Single-Player



Chapter One will introduce our latest Crookbook game, Gorb Rush. Set atop a tower, you and 3 other combatants will use Gorbs to smash each other off the edge, while dealing with an ever shrinking arena. One wrong move and you're over the side hurling toward an uncomfortable landing. Our first Crookbook game, Prop Hunt, required you to have at least one other friend in a session with you. For a lot of folk, this wasn't appealing or possible. Gorb Rush is fully playable on your own against 3 AI, and it's our intent for that to be the case with all Crookbook games going forward. Additionally, it's our intent to go back and do work to bring Prop Hunt into this new single-player standard, but for right now we're focusing on the new content, so no firm dates on that yet. So, who are these AI you'll be competing against?

Your Homies, previously known as Tenants



Chapter One revolves around doing stuff with your Homies. Who are Homies? What are Homies?

Well, they exist in Chapter Zero under a different name: Tenants.

It's a word we've fallen out of love with, as it doesn't ultimately represent our ambition for them. In Chapter Zero, you move Homies into a safehouse and have them watch over it, but they don't amount to much more than that as of yet. With Chapter One, hanging out with your homies in the open world, doing missions with them, assigning them to business HUBs, or as previously mentioned, playing Crookbook games with and against them will earn them EXP and grow their star level.

With every star level, they'll grow more powerful in one of three categories

Attack - The amount of damage they do
Body - The amount of HP a Homie has
Mind - Determines the cooldown of their assigned ability

When a Homie is housed, they'll also gain additional strength in these categories.

So to recap: "Tenants" will become "Homies" in Chapter One. You can hang out with them in a multitude of ways, in businesses, in missions, in the open world, and everything you do with them will level them up, and make 'em tougher. You'll need them to be as strong as possible when going after Maude and successive Mayor Elites.

Don't worry about the change affecting any of your previously homed Tenants: We expect the changes to be seamless.

Additional Fixes:

- Fixed Home Sweet Home Accolade Tracking
- Further reduction of hunger drain rate (an additional 10%)
- Fixed Eviction costs not applying
- Rebalance of Food Items weight/price/overall effectiveness

Here it is! Thank you to the community for telling me how I could improve the game.

This patch fixes and adds things and here's the list!

-Skill Cooldown "Stuck" in Hotbar is fixed

-Made the controls of the second player similar to the controls of the first player when the aim cursor is on and added strafing when aim mode is on for the second player

-When in action mode, if you are walking forward and strafing right or left, and leave action mode while doing this, your character rotation was getting messed up. Not anymore

-Fire breath dragon was OP since the damage kept multipling infinitely for infinite damage. Now it works as intended

-The rare chest did not drop any loot for some reason. Now it drops lots of loot

-Holy light was not healing you properly for the correct amount

-Stable master in heartshire is selling mounts that are not being saved in the inventory but now they save fine

-Fixed Tranquil flowers, Ginger root, and argent leaf not saving properly

-Dragon guy can not use his mount

-The right hand side of the options was not saving when the values were changed, they are resetting to default every time you would open the game. They save properly now

-Fixed the quest where you find the 4 runes

-Re rolls were not resetting upon re-entering dark portal but is fine now

-Quest text for the last part of the treasure finding quest has the quest dialog wrong. Its the quest that gives you the harvester as a pet but I changed the text so it's good now

-Fixed the spell effect that appears when casting a spell. Only one effect was appearing when the second player and first player casted a spell at the same time

-Added a indicator for class restricted items

-Items can now stack in the inventory

-In the Quest where you have to defeat Gold Tooth, after defeating him he doesn't actually despawn and also continues to throw bombs. I fixed it so now when he's killed he's really dead (I hope)

-Added more clues in the quest text for finding the 5 inscriptions

-Health bar was not reflecting exact values of loosing health but now it does

-Made the dismount one key stroke instead of 2 for smoother transitioning

-Made chat scrollable

-Added more gloves for certain classes
