🔧 Hotfix for Yesterday’s Update
A small patch addressing keybinding and UI issues:
  • Interaction & Equip keys now display correctly when using custom bindings — the system was reading them properly but showing default keys.

  • Lockpicking now respects player-assigned keys for rotation, including arrow keys (previously intercepted by the engine’s UI navigation).

    • Fixed duplicate widget instances that could completely block interaction.

    • For now, exiting is only possible via the Exit button — Escape key support is coming soon, with proper custom binding handling.

  • Custom key support is nearly complete! Wider testing is underway, and controller support is on the horizon.

  • Additional fixes are in progress.

Thanks for your feedback and patience — more improvements coming soon!

Titan Quest II - MegalomaniacNG

In Titan Quest II, we hope to transport you to our fantasy version of Ancient Greece, where you get to step into the shoes of an epic hero and journey toward becoming a powerful god. But every story starts at the beginning, and our story starts with a lone mortal.

What sort of mortal are you, at the beginning of your journey? What sort of god will you become? Thanks to the new Character Creator feature, coming in the first week of November, you’ll get to entirely customize your hero’s face, body and more, so that your hero is unique to you.

Will you be a brawny fighter like Herakles? A cunning trickster like Odysseus? Or more reliant on magic and enchanted gear like Perseus? Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, with all sorts of ways of navigating the dangerous world of monsters and gods.

Define your character by tweaking over 50 individual settings with almost 100 options for the head alone! Do you want to create a mythic verson of yourself? Or do you want to embody a hero who is totally different from you?

Create classic-feeling heroes inspired by old favorites, or play with the settings to create a unique legend! Our version of Ancient Greece is populated by many strange denizens, and you could be one of them.

In Titan Quest II, the Moirai may already have Fate laid out for you, but your identity as a hero is yours to decide.

We hope you enjoy the Character Creator feature, and everything else still to come!

Gilded Destiny - StephenB_Aquila

Salutations Industrialists,

Our Steam page currently displays that the release date for Gilded Destiny is this year. We wanted to address this.

Gilded Destiny's release has been moved to 2026.

We understand that this is disappointing news. We feel it too; there is nothing we'd like more than to bring you, Gilded Destiny, as soon as possible. However, we wouldn't be able to provide the most gilded version of the game if we published it now.

This decision hasn't been easy, but it allows us the time needed to enhance the game's performance, implement visual improvements, and provides us with a better foundation to support further expansion of features and content after the game is released.

Let's take a look at what this means for Gilded Destiny.

Current Status
Current Milestone

Currently, we're working on refactoring the game's codebase and visuals. The refactoring will make the overall system more malleable and robust, which will not only give us much more flexibility to create more refined and interesting content, but it will also increase the scope of what modders can do. The main goals of this milestone are:

  • Refactoring the codebase to improve GD's performance

  • Iterating and improving on core design mechanics and systems

  • Improving visual elements in the game

Alpha Build

A few weeks ago, we updated the Alpha build, which added fixes and new features to the game, such as:

  • A new Rebellion System has been implemented

  • A new Political Party System, allowing players to view the political party affiliations of candidates on the leader recruitment UI.

  • A new Fomalhaut Map Editor: This allows you to do some modding visually by selecting provinces and countries rather than going through the database.

Fomalhaut Map Editor

We plan to continue working on the Alpha Build and bring regular updates until the next stage of development. If you're a Kickstarter Backer and still don't have access to the Alpha Build, reach out to us on Kickstarter or our Discord.

Dev Diaries/Community Content

We'll continue to bring you regular updates on our development through our detailed Dev Diaries. We recently posted one about Political Parties, which you can find here.

That's not all; it's our goal to have you involved in Gilded Destiny's journey as much as possible. Our team is working hard to bring you more social insights, such as shorts, livestreams, and much more. Keep an eye out for all of our social channels and join in. Follow us on X(Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, TikTok, Twitch, YouTube, Reddit, and Discord.

Once again, we want to thank you. We couldn't make this game, or this decision, without your support, and we know that you will want what's best for Gilded Destiny.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any further questions, please reach out on our Discord.

May your journey be prosperous, industrialists.

Greetings Flameborn,

We know you're all waiting with bated breath to hear more about our upcoming update to Enshrouded, Wake of the Water. You want to know when, and you'd like to know more about what other changes it'll bring to the game! So just like last year, we've asked one of our devs to give us a few minutes of their time to let you know more.

Check out the video, and if you want a recap or subtitles or prefer to read than to watch, you'll find a transcript below:

Hey Flameborn,

I’m Christoph from Keen, and I’m Senior Game Designer for Enshrouded. I’m here to share some news about our next update, Wake of the Water.

As you know, Enshrouded has hundreds of cool items, like weapons, shields, armors, rings, ammunition, food and other consumables.

After a year and a half of piling on systems and items, we’ve taken a breather to get a good look at how our systems interact and we identified areas where we can improve Enshrouded!

Let’s dig in and talk about itemization.

Weapons Overhaul
First of all, we reviewed ALL weapons in the game.
Many weapons have names and visuals that convey a certain fantasy - a theme - but when we checked their stats, they didn’t really line up in many cases.
A good example of this are the Ice-Coated Daggers. A set of daggers whose cool name and visuals imply ice damage. Currently, however, they only deal cut and pierce damage.
After our overhaul, they’ll deal pierce and ice damage, along with gaining extra ice damage perks when upgrading them.

And this is just one example of many. Across the board, weapon stats will now better match their visual and thematic identities.

We’re also tweaking many armor and ring stats, as well as food items, so make sure to check out all of the exciting changes coming with update7!

We also had a close look at weapon durability and increased it across the board. Durability now also scales with item level and rarity.
Also note that just like with previous changes to dropped items, weapons that you already acquired in the game will retain their existing stats. The new and improved stats will only apply to equipment obtained after Update 7 releases.

Craftable Lore Weapons
We’re bringing another pretty significant change to Enshrouded’s itemization by allowing players to craft ANY Lore weapon they previously unlocked at ANY stage in the game!

We know for instance, that many of you love the light-emitting Wailing Blade that can be found in a Lore quest line in the early game.
With update 7, players can actually craft a higher-level version of the Wailing Blade once they have out-leveled their previous version of it.
There will be craftable Lore weapons for every weapon type, supporting all classes and playstyles.
This will also help those players who are forever unlucky with RNG and cannot seem to find the weapon type they’re looking for.

Enemy Weapons
We’ve also added many new awesome weapons to the drop pool of enemies.
From the Fell Thunderbrute Greatsword to the Scavenger’s fearsome Acid Cleaver, a whole host of these weapons can now be looted from defeated foes!
Enemy weapon drops will now scale with enemy level and range in rarity from common all the way up to legendary!

Removing Chest Loot Exploit
Now that there are many more options for obtaining weapons at all stages of the game, we feel like it’s a good time to finally close the loop on a long-running loot exploit.

With Update 7, loot chests will now save their looted state, which means players won’t be able to reload the game or restart the server to try their luck again.
The chest content will respawn eventually, though
just as we originally had intended.

Early Game Mage Spell
Some of the feedback we often heard revolved around players wanting to start out as mages but feeling that there is a lack of support for mages in the early game.

We hear you and agree with you. That’s why we introduced a new spell with update7, Fire Bolt, which is a single-target, quick-casting spell that can be crafted with minimal requirements, ensuring that as soon as you find bones and resin, you can craft your first staff AND your first spell.

Regeneration Balance
Currently, Enshrouded offers a lot of options to basically just shrug off many combat encounters, mainly because regeneration is very high, especially in the mid and late game. We think that this makes Enshrouded’s combat less interesting because players will often just retreat from heated combat situations, take a little break and continue fighting shortly after with full resources.
By reducing HP regeneration, we’re aiming to make health management an issue you have to prepare for ahead of time, by crafting potions, eating appropriate meals and so on. For similar reasons, we’re also slightly bringing down stamina and mana regeneration values.
This also allows us to reintroduce health, mana and stamina regeneration to other sources.
So that if you want to emphasize these attributes with your character, you will still have options to do so.

Update release date
Finally, we’d like to share some news about Enshrouded’s next update, Wake of the Water. We’ve tried as hard as we could to hold ourselves to our October deadline, however, we knew implementing water in the game at a satisfying level of quality in that time frame was going to be a challenge. Water always finds a way to get everywhere, and so do water-related issues. Making all these new features work feels like trying to shoot an arrow through your nose sometimes

All of this is to say that in order to give Wake of the Water all the polish it needs, we’re pushing back the release date by a few weeks, to November 10th.
Some of you who joked on our Discord about the update releasing on October 42nd were actually much closer than you thought!

Conclusion
These are just some of the thrilling steps we’re taking in Update 7: Wake of the Water. Our team now has multiple developers who are dedicated to all aspects of combat and it is our goal to keep improving combat in Enshrouded together with your feedback.
We hope you enjoyed this quick dive into the upcoming changes to some of the core systems underpinning Enshrouded, and that you’re as excited for update 7 as the team here at Keen games.

That’s it for today! We thank you for your time and so now it’s not just “water, when?”, but also “new weapons, when?” Soon!
