Need the details?
Any time after completing the āOut of Whole Clothā quest (where you learn to make cloth in the first Summer), you can help Violet start her new clothing business. You can purchase outfit designs from her, craft outfits at your sewing machine, and then either wear them or sell them back to Violet, unlocking additional outfit designs.
Once Violet's Boutique has been created, you can change your outfit from the inventory menu at any time, including select accessories (bracelet, earrings, necklace and rings).
A tanning rack can been added to the toolshed (available once Violet's Boutique is built), allowing animal hide to be turned into leather, mushrooms into mushroom leather, and fish into fish leather. Animal hide will sometimes be provided by Kim when selling a cow or sheep. Leather and mushroom leather can also be purchased from Kai. Tanning solution can be crafted at a distillery.
A new āPhoto Modeā can be accessed from the inventory which lets you take pictures of Tara showing off her new outfits. These photos can be saved to your device or shared on social media. Unfortunately Photo Mode is not available on Apple TV.
A hummingbird feeder can be built in either garden plot once the āA Good Habit-atā quest is complete. This feeder is purely decorative.
The Minor Animal Blessing incantation can be used on any animal to increase their relationship level significantly. This incantation is awarded after completing the āHerd A Rumorā quest.
Olive tree seedlings can be purchased from Kai and planted in a garden bed.
Additional dye and cloth colors black, green, orange and yellow have been added.
Additional quests take place during Summer of year 2 (or any later year)

WIth Update 0.9.0.6 we are starting some major improvements to our leaderboard backend as the amount of players exceeded our expectations. Also the initial player attack delay got removed. We also added Korean, Japanese and Portuguese language support to the game. As this are some major changes let us know whenever you encounter a bug.
New Features
Korean, Japanese and Portuguese Language Support
We have extended the language support for Striving for Light: Survival. As this was something highly requested by our community we hope that this improves the player experience for Korean, Japanese and Portuguese players. As our translations are currently automatically AI translated there might be mistakes or errors. In case anyone wants to help improve a translation we can make the translation files available so that changes can be discussed on our discord.
Improvements
Instant Player Attacks
The player character now does not have a delay until the first attacks are performed at the start of each wave. Your character should now directly start performing attacks which helps a lot on construct builds and high tier maps.
Improved leaderboard backend
As the player count is quickly rising we have started preparing our leaderboard backend in order to be able to display the ranking of all players. Previously we started with a limit of top 100 players that could be displayed when fetching scores. This quickly lead to players not seeing their rank on the completed run screen as the fetched top 100 scores did not include your entry if you had made a placement >100. We have raised the limit to 300 scores but we are already quickly approaching this player count.
The new improved backend now is able to display your rank no matter how many entries are on the leaderboard. So when you made rank 500 in your run and only top 300 are displayed on the leaderboard you will still see when finishing a run that your current personal best run is at rank 500 so you can see your progress even though it might not be included in the top 300 leaderboard from the menu.
Bugfixes:
Fixed wrong damage displayed at scattering projectiles and scattering cast
Corrected description of scattering dodge casting 2 projectiles on dodge.
Fixed not unlocking achievements for completing difficulty tiers with specific characters.

Hello Rockers! We want to give a big shoutout to everyone who played the God of Rock demo last week during Steam Next Fest. We were so excited to see how many of you truly enjoyed the rhythm/fighting hybrid gameplay and to receive some feedback from the community.
We are committed to crafting a great player experience within the game, and so want to share some of the most common feedback that we received during the demo and how we are addressing those issues for the final version of the game releasing on April 18.
Please note this is not a comprehensive list of changes and other issues are also being looked into.
SETUP
Feedback: Setting up my fightstick is causing problems because I canāt remap the analog inputs for special moves. Dev Response: Fightstick support is included! Analog inputs will be mappable to digital inputs. In addition, we are adding the ability to map special move inputs to non-analog buttons, which will enable support for hitboxes, dance pads, guitar controllers, and more.
Feedback: I wish I could add my own music to God of Rock. Dev Response: Steamworks capabilities will be available to add your own custom music track.
ONBOARDING/UI Feedback: I donāt know how to do left & right inputs simultaneously. Dev Response: You can hit both left and right inputs by pressing left on the D-pad and right on the face buttons. D-pad mirroring inputs for face buttons will be stated in the tutorial.
Feedback: I wish there was a way for me to learn some advanced techniques. Dev Response: Loading screen tips will be added to give more insight into how to strategically use or defend against the charactersā abilities.
Feedback: Iām not sure when overtime starts, and what it entails. Dev Response: More UI popups , including Overtime Loop, Overtime Damage Multiplier and Ultra Activation will be added.
Feedback: I donāt know why Ziggy keeps locking out my inputs. Dev Response: Ziggy's attack notes will have a different color, indicating that a miss will cause you to be stunned.
Feedback: I donāt know which songs fit my skill level. Dev Response: Difficulty stickers will be added to all songs (ranges from Very Easy to Very Hard).
Feedback: I want to have different inputs for another local player. Dev Response: Both players will have separate keybindings for local play. These keybindings will reflect uniquely on your own rhythm chart.
Feedback: I wish this game had a different rhythm track orientation. Dev Response: We are currently looking into solutions that will guarantee readability and compliance.
ARCADE/CPU
Feedback: I wish the game had an easier starting point. Dev Response: There will be a gradual difficulty ramp in arcade mode, slowly progressing from easier notecharts to more challenging ones as more opponents are defeated. Feedback: The CPU is too easy/too hard. Dev Response: Additional CPU difficulties will be included. Easier difficulties will be added, and hardest difficulty will be more challenging.
BALANCE
Feedback: Once you get a high combo, you get too much meter per note. Dev Response: Meter gain for higher combos is being reworked. Rewards are provided on a less steep curve, up to 100 combo. Feedback: Some characters seem to be more overpowered. Dev Response: Tweaks are being made to specific characters in order to have a more balanced roster.
