We just wanted to share information about the development of "Raging Steel", our upcoming major update!
As we mentioned before in our conversations with the community, we are currently working on development of a brand new gameplay aspect for GGNZ. Today we would like to share information about the development progress and what will be included in this new update.
With the "Raging Steel" update, players will be able to race through the city streets in a post-apocalyptic racing matches against up to 4 opponents!
Additionally, players will be granted access to a garage, where racing vehicles can be upgraded. Scrap resources will be used to gain one race boosts, similar to the quartermaster upgrades.
Upon finishing the race, players will be granter resources as a reward. The reward will be determined by the players finishing position.
We are currently working on track designs and internal testing, and plan to release this major update by the end of the month. Stay tuned for more information and a more accurate estimate.

Content of city update
The new update for Mashinky introduces reworking of towns in the game, adding new challenging mechanics to shape residential areas,
Adding more than 50 buildings related to cities in game, including city upgrades, several levels of each residential building, decoration tiles or even different visual apperance of buildings through ages.
You can now affect cities, encourage them to grow and help local representatives with urban plans.
With your care, cities can become really satisfied and beautiful metropolises, where everyone wants to live.
To achieve this, you will be shaping cities by placing city upgrades, laying roads and deciding where city should grow having more needs satisfied or where to restrict the urban development in order to protect new inhabitants from pollution of industrial areas.
Update introduces different zones around each city upgrade. These zones unlock through the gameplay, starting with basic amenities for your towns (school, fire brigade, police, ...), relax facilities later in the game (parks, stadiums, gallery) and luxury end-game buildings (luxury car dealer for instance).
Each residential building has 3-4 different levels based on the co mbination of zones present at the building location, but be aware of pollution areas around industries preventing houses to level up.
Some other areas are used to set up the urban plan of your town, specifying where it should grow or what areas to avoid with residential buildings development.
New update also introduces reworked city generator, which is now able to use bridges, tunnels, rotate building towards the street, grow behind multiline railroad crossings or modify terrain in order to produce beatiful and more realistic towns.
It also uses different tiers of sidewalk to show you the wealth of each city area.
Hey cyberpunk builders! Sorry for keeping you updated as much as before. I did not disappear! The reason is that I started a huge effort: Reworking all of the colors of the game to better match a specific feeling.
In short, I was not happy with the final color scheme of the game, so I decided to rework all of the art of the game, adjusting the textures so that they match a specific palette. For example, it goes from here To here It's a massive work as there 100 and more unique 3D models in the game, each of them has at least 10 separate textures that need to be changed and adjusted in Substance Painter. I then need to 'bake' the textures into one big texture (the texture atlas) so that the game runs faster. I do that in Unity. Plus, I need to adjust the textures used by the 5 unique terrains, and the objects that appear on them, like the trees. I've been working on this for 3 weeks and I'm only 20% done, so I thought to give an update.
But why am I doing this???
I created all of the art of the game myself, and I was not satisfied by the final result. This is a problem as I plan to add a lot of content to the game in the near future. So before scaling the content up, I want to align the art with my aspirations. I consulted with a bunch of smart artists that I know - I worked with BeaBanfi (also the author of the news painting that you see in-game). Bea helped me understand that the issue was the color palette, and opened my mind about this topic. I also worked with Octavio S. who created some analysis and concepts as the following: The final result will be a more consistent and pleasant art style that will allow me to scale up the content, add a lot more regions, organizations, and so on.
