Iris possesses the ability to summon spirits from beyond her mortal plane. These spirits can block attacks from opponents, or possess her and your fellow party members to augment their abilities. Alongside her unique Talent and Passive pool, this adds a wildly new flavour of gameplay to Banners of Ruin!

This DLC includes several new scenarios, where you'll be acquiring new spirits, facing new opponents, and wrestling with many decisions over the course of your campaign.



There are six spirits for Iris to acquire throughout the game, accessible from her Summoning Wheel in combat. Spirits can be spawned to their own position slot, Untethered, or in the same position as a party member, Possessing them. Each mode offers different effects for each spirit, so managing their position in combat next to your characters will be of vital importance!



Because of the dual nature of these Spirits, Iris can work alone, using her Spirits to defend her, or alongside other characters, bolstering the entire party. However, should she fall, your run will be over!

The player creates his character, joins a tournament and plays out 5 matches against opponents of different skill. On his way he also goes through the training process (puzzle solving) and improves his abilities.


More tournaments, rivals, development of the openings repertoire, handling of finances and time of your character while you slowly rise to the top of the chess world.


Linux version exists but it still didn't go through necessary testing for me to be confident of a Steam release. Mac version is not yet planned.

The version number on the bottom right of the title screen should still be Ver.7.2101.4.

Greetings everyone, the time is finally here! Read up on when our Beta 1 will be going live, and what you can expect in this upcoming testing phase!




We have good news! We managed to upgrade what we needed to without requiring you to recreate your accounts. However, users will still need to make new passwords for your existing accounts to comply with our new security requirements and encryption. Outside of this, the back end issues for MagePortal have been resolved, and we are now ready to dive into Beta 1!



This testing phase will run between the dates of 07/28 - 07/30, followed shortly by Beta 2!

Characters will not carry over from Alpha 2, so you will need to create a new character at start.

Beta keys have been previously delivered to Pre-Kickstarter and Kickstarter backers as well as those who bought access after the end of our alpha 2 stage.. Those that do not have a key still have a chance to score one through our Discord, socials, and partnered streamers. If you’re not in our Discord yet, get in there!



As this is still a beta and the debut of the first fully server-authoritative MMORPG back-end for VR, there will be different bugs than in Alpha 2, but bugs nonetheless! We will continue to address them as they come up!

You'll also notice the foundations of things that were not present in Alpha 2 and are more central to what you'd expect from an MMORPG: a party system, instanced dungeons, improved combat AI, and more concise class development and skills. Additionally, more classes will be added in future updates!



The extra time we've taken to address issues and refine gameplay has allowed us to create something we believe you will truly enjoy. Thank you to our community for your patience and support, and we look forward to seeing you in our Beta 1!

Our topic of the day today is:

🛠 Crafting! 🛠

We have a lot of crafting systems on Moonstone Island. If you're the type of person who loves baking your own bread and sewing your own clothes, you're going to have a great time. And if you're not? You'll have a great time too! Everybody wins!!!

Alchemy Table
Make concoctions! You are an Alchemist, after all. At your Alchemy Table, you can combine ingredients to brew up special elixirs that combine the effects of two crops for extra-efficient Stamina restoration, Spirit taming, and more!

Just make sure you have enough ash to power the alchemy. We won't tell you how you get ash, but let's just say that you need to set wood on fire somehow...



Cauldron
The Cauldron lets you live out your witchy fantasies as you brew potions that can help you see in the dark, run faster, and even slow down time. Experiment to find new combinations!

Decoration Station
Give our carpenter Paolo a run for his money by making your very own furniture! Chairs, sofas, bookshelves, and even cute little kitchens are within reach, as long as you have the materials to make 'em.

Loom
Do your walls look boring? Design your own wallpaper and flooring with the Loom! You can draw out cute pixel designs and then plaster them all over your house to make it suuuuper cute and totally custom.



Moonstone Enchanter
Some things need just a little more magic, and that's where the Moonstone Enchanted comes in. Anything you need that requires arcane power can be found on this crafting table, whether it's a barn for your Spirits, a house that's secretly a pocket dimension, or a glider that can get you around the skies much faster than your broom.

You'll need a lot of Moonstones for these crafting recipes, so seek them out at night!

Furnace & Anvil
Ferra won't let you borrow her blacksmithery (it's too expensive to run!) so you'll have to build your own. Smelt down metal ore in the furnace, and then hammer it into special protective charms that can shield you from electric, poison, and dark damage when you're out exploring on the more dangerous islands!
