Dark and Darker - IRONMACE
Hello Adventurers,

The recent hotfix addresses minor bugs and improvements to stability. We fixed issues with several spells not scaling properly with the attributes. We have made some minor balance changes to slightly improve the Ranger and Rogue’s effectiveness using certain builds against full plate without making a big impact against the squishier classes. We’ve also addressed some oversights with the AP system where the treasure score was not removed as previously promised, and a bug where PvP adventure points were not properly calculated. We are still working on the improved matchmaking system which we hope to roll out soon. In the meantime, we have decided to open up VoIP in the basecamp as a test for it’s upcoming removal and conversion to a more social area. Thanks and see you in the dungeons!

Changes:
  • Fixed an issue that could cause a server crash when a druid escapes the game while transforming into an animal.
  • Fixed an issue where the damage of Lightning Strike, Holy Strike, and Dream Fire did not scale properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the Thorn Barrier rendering was not displayed properly.
  • Fixed a performance issue with the Ceremonial Staff’s cloth simulation.
  • Fixed an issue where new Druid equipment items were not dropped from monsters.
  • Fixed an issue where the Ant Nest module's Shirine of Health could be used twice.
  • Fixed an issue where the rope sound in the Goblin Cave was muffled.
  • Fixed an issue where 'Loyal Court Wizard' quest mission 'Dark Ritual Room A' could not be cleared because it did not exist.
  • Fixed an issue where player kills and AP were not being calculated properly.
  • Fixed an issue where the selected dungeon on the world map was not highlighted in yellow.
  • Fixed an issue where the recipes for Protection Potion and Magic Protection Potion were set incorrectly.
  • Barbarian's Rage movement speed bonus has been changed from 12% → 9%.
  • Barbarian's Savage Roar's physical damage penalty has been changed from -40% → -30%.
  • Warlocks can now use weapons when transformed into demons due to the Bloodpact.
  • Warlock's Blood Pact loss of health per second has been changed from -1% → -1.5% per second.
  • Warlock's Dark Offering cooldown time has been changed from 60s → 28s.
  • Warlock's Life Drain attribute ratio bonus has been changed from 50% → 100%.
  • Druid takes a -100% penalty to PDR and MDR while transforms into Rat form.
  • Druid's Thorn Barrier duration has been changed from 10s → 8s.
  • Improved the Armor Penetration for Bows, Crossbows, and Piercing Daggers.
  • - Windlass Crossbow 25% → 40%
  • - Crossbow 20% → 30%
  • - Longbow 5% → 20%
  • - Recurve 0% → 10%
  • - Survival 0% → 5%
  • - Rondel Dagger 0% → 10%
  • - Stiletto Dagger 0% → 10%
  • Campfire has been added to the Squire's supply items.
  • Healing items have been added as starting items for most classes.
  • Clarity Potions can now be crafted. New clarity potions increase the memory recovery rate when resting.
  • Treasures no longer give Adventure Points.
  • ‘The Secrets Of Gold’ quest now requires 2 Gold Ingots instead of 6 Gold Ores.
  • Rat sounds have been removed from the environmental sounds.
  • The visibility of escapes on the minimap has been improved.
  • VoIP has been enabled in the basecamp.
Fantasy Survivors - Abmis
Hi all,

Today's update contains the following:
  • Increased the Drop Rate bonus of the Farmer set from 12% to 30%.
  • Added an achievement for making a +30 weapon. This only registers after you finish a run.
  • Pets now show the Egg Type they hatched from in their description.
  • Fixed the Scroll of the Dead fusion with Necromancer set not increasing the number of summoned skeletons.
  • Reduced the warlock boss (Cain) damage by 25%. Also decreased the cultist meteor damage by 15%. I advise the use of potions when you take on Forgotten Tomb. If your health is lowered by status effects, the boss will appear more deadly than it is.
  • Increased the height of the player's name field on the portrait to accommodate some special characters. The player's level is now simply displayed as a number, in a larger font.
  • Added a full stop after each tip in the Tips screen.

A minor update has been released today (1.0.1) to fix some major issues with the 1.0 release.
Minor update should not break any mods, so no worries about this.

If you are using the HTC Vive controllers, please note that the binding changed to fix an issue with hyper focus being unable to be used on this controllers. The new binding also improve how we open the menu and I hope it would also improve life of HTC Vive players (the controller lacking two buttons it's all about finding the less painful workaround). See the new bindings below that I lovely did using paint :p

  • Added a new floor to the elevator.
  • Adjusted the generation and demand hertz from 51 to 50.
  • Adjusted the turbine compensator to work within a wider variation range.
  • Adjusted Apprentice mode so that resistance banks are not damaged during guided instruction.
  • Separated the steam turbines (one for each loop).

  • Fixed the bug with trophies for successful audits when there is no space in the display cases to store them.
  • Fixed the bug in label "Speed limited by wear or damage".
  • Fixed the bug of the M03 valve that could not be activated without climbing into the container.
  • Fixed the bug in the dosing pump, which did not continue dosing boron when loading a saved progress.
  • Fixed the bug in Apprentice mode, where the synchroscope did not detect that it was synchronized and did not allow that step to be advanced.

This update is compatible with all previous savegames. If you're having trouble loading a saved progress, please let me know!

Hi All,

The Steam Summer Sale is just around the corner, so if you were planning to buy the game, wait a little bit longer.



As for development, I am still hard at work on the duties and attributes system, the latter of which has been the focus for the past two weeks. Progress is steady, with most attribute effects implemented. In the next couple of weeks, the focus will shift back to duties in order to complete their implementation and finish off the integration of the two systems.

Events are a cool new way to gamble get rewards.
This system will allow us to introduce new mechanics and narration along the way.
Be careful, being cursed will definitely have consequences.

NEW SHRINE TYPE:
You can now promote your Greater Monsters to Elite.
You will have more incentives to keep your precious Behemoth alive (yes, we know they are doing fine on their own).




OTHER MODIFICATIONS:

CONTENT:

REWORKS:
Healing Touch can now be cast without a target, it should now be a reliable way to heal yourself.

Read the Bones and Fuel for the Cause no longer reduce the cooldowns of your abilities by a flat amount but grants "Focus", a buff that increases your cooldown recovery.

Swift Slice's Sanguine Rebirth modifier has been changed: It now raises Lesser Monsters killed with Swift Slice.

BUGFIX:
Fixed an issue that would cause dead monsters to prevent a room from completing.
Heavily improved performances of monster's AI, specially in the late game.
Reduced the memory usage of several effects.
Fixed several other little bugs.

As always we will keep an eye on the balance of things and do some hotfixes in the following days if necessary.
