This one may require some more time in the oven. We've tried to tackle some tricky bugs that have to do with tabbing in and out of the game. Inadvertently we may have activated the cursor in some places where it should not be. Clicking the screen should help get things back in order.

Current Patch V 8.0.7.0

  • Movement/slide smoothing fix, we applied some more math to it!

  • Tabbing out of the game to a separate screen then clicking to get back should no longer cause weird focus issues between game and ui

  • Some NPC homes in Wilden have been expanded

  • Fixed some NPCs showing the wrong Glyphs between KB/Gamepad

Known Issues

  • Fresh openings of Inventory / menues may display the cursor. This is unintended behavior as result of other fixes

  • Some vendor NPCs still show the wrong glyphs between KB/Gamepad

  • Some side quest NPCs (Particularly Running types) don't fully work

  • Glyph functionality mis-match in rebinding Flicks

As always, I want to communicate openly and honestly with you and give you a small update on the development of KeepUp Survival.

Continuous Development

KeepUp Survival is constantly being improved and expanded by me as a solo developer. I work on it every day, adding new content, enhancements, and ideas for the future.

Over the past months, KeepUp Survival has grown enormously:

  • New content and features

  • Improved performance

  • Many bug fixes

  • Balancing adjustments

  • Community requests implemented

  • And there are still regular updates!

About Expectations & Comparisons

KeepUp Survival is often compared to big survival games. On one hand, that is a huge compliment, thank you very much for that! At the same time, such comparisons sometimes lead to false expectations.

I understand that, because from the outside you often don’t see whether there is a large studio or just a single person behind a game.

That’s why I just wanted to let you know:

KeepUp Survival is developed completely by me alone, step by step, and I work on it every day to continue improving it.

New Sense of Value

KeepUp Survival has grown significantly over time and continues to be actively developed and expanded by me as a solo developer.

Some time ago, I asked the community (e.g., on Discord) for your opinion on the price. At that time, many of you found $14.99 to be fair, and since then KeepUp Survival has grown even more.

Since the market is constantly changing and many survival and indie games are now in a similar or even significantly higher price range, I will adjust the price to $14.99 in the near future so that KeepUp Survival is also realistically and fairly positioned in terms of price.

IMPORTANT for everyone who wants to buy the game:

Before the price is increased, there will be another fair discount,
so that everyone who has had their eye on the game for a while can get it cheaper beforehand.

General Fixes

- Made controls on the map screen more reliable.

- Bug fixed where the camera would rotate awkwardly on an unknown axis while rotating on the minimap screen.

- Fixed a bug where sometimes you couldn’t delete save files on PC

- Hitboxes adjusted on some enemies

- Animations adjusted on some enemies

Combat Overhaul

- Difficulty of combat raised across the board. Enemies have more health and are more resilient and have a few more generic abilities.

- Added stagger system to enemies. Average enemies can no longer be permanently stunlocked off of the first hit. The player will have to do full combos in order to break their defences, which then allows them to be staggered and stunlocked as they could be originally. Enemies can also recover their defences quite quickly if the pressure is let up, meaning that you have to focus an enemy down!

- Added critical strikes to enemies. About 20% of attacks will now be ‘critical strikes’. A critical strike will make the enemy glow purple, afterwards they will do an attack that is immune to stagger and deals extra damage. Be prepared to dodge these attacks if you’re uncertain how much health the enemy has left!

- A few tweaks to game feel to hopefully make combat more enjoyable if not still a bit simple.

Audio

- Added audio that was missing from important items. Doors, breakable rocks, etc.

- Added better quality and more interesting sound effects to most enemies, higher bitrate and impact sounds.

- Audio tweaks with the goal of making the game have more impact
Crystal Maidens: Unleashed - Harlequin

A new character event featuring Kai is now live! Complete objectives to earn rewards and help the community with the global objective to earn Kai as well as exclusive items!

The event ends on October 28th.
