Dear Pioneers,

Are you enjoying your summer holidays? Whether you go hiking in real life, are sipping a cool drink at the pool or just relaxing at home, you might have missed what happened in Pagonia. But don’t worry, we got you! Here comes a little throwback about what has happened and what exciting things are about to come!

Major Economy Update
A month ago, we released a Major Economy Update where we reworked the start of the game and introduced a new settlement progression! As many of you have requested, it is now possible to start from scratch with a small landing party.

You can also enjoy a refined gameplay experience including 8 new buildings. Additionally, the Pagonian islands got a visual boost in many areas and got more exciting geography. Who needs a holiday if you can go hiking in the Pagonian mountains, right?

Improved Map Gen. It's now possible to generate maps with steep cliffs and more interesting landscapes!

Thanks to everyone who already played it and sent us positive feedback on changing the start of the game. This was a major task and took a lot of effort, but your positive reactions and comments made it worth it! We truly think that this was the best for the game and players will benefit from it in the future.

Visit us at Gamescom!
It’s that time of the year again, Pioneers! We will showcase Pioneers of Pagonia at Gamescom Cologne! Good things come in threes, or so they say.

Come visit us at the Indie Arena Booth in Hall 10.2! While most of us will stay at our desks and keep working on the game, there are still some members of our dev team at the booth waiting for your visit!

You can play the recent version of Pioneers of Pagonia, come by and say hello or grab some exclusive stickers!. We had plenty of fun the last two years and can’t wait to exhibit next to so many great indie studios again.

And as a special highlight, we are once again hosting a stamp rally with nine other indie studios this year!

Our PoP Wiki is finally here!
But this is not all! We also launched our official Pioneers of Pagonia Wiki!

This wiki is officially supported by us, the dev team. We already added some basic information as well as original assets and icons from the game. But it’s still a work in progress and a community effort, that’s why we need you!

We won’t always add all content but support you in adding content to the wiki, answer specific questions and more.

Everybody is welcome to edit the wiki page (after you’ve created a free account). Please note that the wiki is in English for now, but if there is enough interest, we intend to set up a German version in the future.

Please note that this wiki will always be a work in progress and subject to change during the development of the game.



Working on the Campaign
And finally, we would like to share some news! We got some support in the writing department from Janika Hoffmann, a German author of Fantasy novels. We are so happy to be working with her on our story-campaign for the 1.0 release!

Janika pays regular visits to our office in Ingelheim, working with our game designer Kian and content designer Samuel on the story and dialogues for the campaign. We cannot show you anything yet, but our Pioneers will embark on an adventurous journey, that’s for sure!

🛠 Patch Notes:
  • Added an option to rename saves - this applies only to user saves, while autosaves still receive automatically generated names.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented washing or repairing vehicles unloaded from the tow truck.
  • Fixed incorrect tooltip display in the odometer rollback minigame.

Bee Hero: Bug Blaster - Kolossus Games
  • Fixed a long-standing issue in passive skill node connection logic where nodes forming a closed ring couldn’t be removed individually — the only workaround was using the “Clear” button.
  • Auto-leveling has been removed, meaning you’ll no longer be interrupted mid-battle with a forced skill choice. From now on, you can level up anytime you like by opening your inventory and pressing the Level Up button.
  • Removed “+1 Skill Point” popup after level-up.
ART IS RIFLE - Code Psyche Productions
  • Handling connection delays and server timeouts in the achievement unlocking process.

  • Projectile ricochet count reduced from 10 to 9.

  • Considering both QWERTY and AZERTY keyboard layouts for movement inputs.
