Battle Grid - Beans
The main goal of this update is to allow for more build variety.

Boss and Nest Grid Upgrade changes:
  • Instead of stacking upgrades, players are able to traverse a 'tree', where each tree is related to specific builds.
  • Each tree has 4 levels, and you choose one of two upgrades at each level.
  • 48 Grid Upgrades from all trees (24 selectable in each run).
  • 6 Trees: Bullet Smith, Crowd Controller, Electromancy, Survivalist, Synthomancy, and Venture Capitalist.
Gameplay Change:
Instead of forcing level ups, players can initiate a level up by pressing a button.

Please let us know what you think of the new update, and if you have any suggestions.

Terra Invicta - Pavonis Interactive
Hi everyone!

Today's update adds a new feature set we've been looking forward to getting out to players -- campaign start options. These will allow you to customize both the pacing and the difficulty of the campaign to your liking. Specific options include control over:

* Global research speed
* Space mining productivity
* Alien progression speed
* National investment rate
* Frequency of narrative events

In addition, you'll be able to customize your starting councilor professions and which enemy factions will be in the game in addition to the aliens and their human supporters. You’ll also be able to grant the AI certain bonuses for an added challenge.

While these features have been on the to do list for a while, we have taken note of player feedback about the length of the campaign and overall pacing, and it is our hope that these options will allow you to tailor your Terra Invicta experience to one that fits your expectations and available time.

In addition, we’re delighted to announce the inclusion of two new translations in this patch: Brazilian Portuguese and Polish! These and the existing translations have been updated to version 0.3.99 (the last patch in July). We have seen interest in other translations of Terra Invicta, and while we don’t have anything to announce, please know that we’re reviewing and discussing other languages to determine if they are feasible for us to include.

The patch adds a host of other bugfixes, balance adjustments, and visual improvements. The research AI has been overhauled. A number of Solar System moons received gorgeous 4k textures. You can now build heavy fission reactor modules on your habs, which serve as an upgrade to existing fission modules before you develop fusion. In combat, there’s a new missile salvo fire mode that lets you fire a portion of your missiles without having to manually turn off or detarget the weapon system.

We’re already at work on the next patch. As always, we invite everyone to leave feedback on our Discord or the Pavonis forums. We also monitor the Terra Invicta Reddit and Steam forums. We learn so much from players reporting their experiences and sharing tips and strategies, and it does have a major impact on how we move forward with improving the game.

ADDENDUM
A couple more notes --
The full patch details are here.

Also, this patch isn't the final word on campaign options and overall pacing. We still plan to look at the late game challenge and mission phase frequency, among many, many other things.

Chrono Sword - Devi

Hello, Time Travelers!

This is David, the head of 21st century Ducks.

It's already August, time's flying so fast.

I was busy with BitSummit, and there was many changes in the game and in the team.

BitSummit

This was the 2nd exhibition with Chrono Sword at BitSummit. I thought that it could be a great chance to confirm if players notice and like our hard work on improving the play.

It is not a smart to give players a 1~3hours demo in a game show since most boothes prepare 5~10 min session. But I let players can play the demo as much as they want, in that way, I could catch how players feel through the whole demo. Everyday I fixed the demo with team again and again so that players could enjoy the game smoother next day.

I wish I could post the review of the show soon.

The Team

I discussed with the team about our productivity and the release window several times, and decided to make the team a bit larger. I'm already working with a new concept artist to improve the visual of the game. And though it will take time, there will be more hiring to help building the environments and so on.

The Game

Chrono Sword is clearly very fun game. I can say it, not only to soulslike fans but also to more light players.

But through the open on Steam and two exhibitions at PAX and BitSummit, I found a critical weakness of Chrono Sword. I focused on creating a unique experience of authentic action and time-travel in Chrono Sword meantime, but you can never feel it through screenshots, since it is rely on the move of characters and changing of the environment.

I wanted Chrono Sword to stand out more than other games even just from screenshots. So after many discussion and trying, I built a new settings. The visual moved closer to intensity, darkness and uniqueness away from typical fantasy. Of course this change causes more works, but I think it won't make a delay.

I hope I can share the updated visual soon.

The Test

I'm discussing with the team about Early Access in this year. Current plan is to start with 40% of contents, about 10 hours of playtime and to update remaining contents further.

Before it, I'm preparing a closed test to listen your opinion. It is with 1~3 hours demo for who have applied for participation only. I'll open a application form soon.

I know that there could be questions since I don't share the exact release date, but it is to not give you unnecessary confusion. I hope you understand that my team is working with passion everyday, to give you the best game.

Thank you for reading.

I'll see you with an invitation for closed test soon!
The Elder Scrolls® Online - ZOS_Kevin

Discover the host of additions and improvements arriving with the free Update 39 base-game patch.

The Update 39 base-game patch is now live on PC/Mac and introduces a series of long-awaited improvements and additions to The Elder Scrolls Online, completely free of charge for all existing ESO players. If you’re a console player, don’t worry: Update 39 arrives September 5 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, too!

Update 39 Base Game Improvements

As a base-game patch, Update 39 includes a wide array of bug fixes, but also features a series of long-awaited improvements to your in-game experience.

Quest & Content Improvements for New Players

If you’re a new player feeling overwhelmed when first entering Tamriel, you can enjoy a series of changes that reduce the volume and frequency of quests offered to your low-level characters. This includes quests from NPCs for the main story, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild, Battlegrounds, Undaunted, and others. Instead, these quests are now delivered more gradually as you level up, helping your journal stay in a manageable state for longer!

Tamriel’s navigator NPCs that can transport your characters between destinations have also received some improvements with this update. Now, these navigators indicate whether they can transport you to a location for one of your tracked quests (active or inactive.) When exploring, you now see the “door” pin above relevant navigator NPCs, indicating that they can help you in your journey. In addition, appropriate dialog lines with those same NPCs have similar pins, ensuring you make the right choice and go where you need to go—happy travels!

Taking your first steps into Tamriel is daunting

Inventory Management Improvements

If you’re struggling with an overburdened Inventory, Update 39 also includes changes to key item types to help improve management and reduce clutter. Some (but not all) similar Crown Store items that came from separate sources (such as Tri-Restoration Potions) can now all be stacked together using the “Stack All Items” option. Also, this patch adds better communication regarding which items in your Inventory can or cannot be sold, helping you identify and clear out unwanted items and make a little gold in the process!

PvP Additions & New Rewards

This update adds new rewards for Tamriel’s PvP victors in the form of three new monster mask sets: Jerall Mountains Warchief, Nibenay Bay Battlereeve, and Colovian Highlands General. Each grants unique and powerful boons, and you can trade Alliance Points for these new masks with Cyrodiil Elite Gear Vendors within the Eastern Elsweyr Gate, Southern High Rock Gate, and Northern Morrowind Gate.

Chase down new PvP rewards

In addition, you can now claim new Unfeathered Battle Body and Face Markings from Gladiator’s Rucksacks (earned by completing Cyrodiil Conquest Mission Board daily quests), and the Imperial City’s hapless Treasure Scamps now drop even better loot when hunted down. In particular, Cunning Scamps drop more Tel Var Stones and Trove Scamps drop tradable pieces of Imperial City gear sets.

Finally, while battling in Cyrodiil, the Imperial City, and Battlegrounds, you can now see new death notifications that help you plan your next move (or avoid that incoming zerg!).

Home Editor Improvements

With Update 39, this patch gives you the ability to place a furnishing directly from your Inventory or Collectibles UI while in your home. You can now find a “Place” option when viewing the specific furnishings. In addition, you can preview Crown Store furnishings in your home before you buy, helping you determine how a new item might look when placed.

Place furnishings from Inventory and Collectibles

Of course, these are just some of the changes and additions that arrive with Update 39. To see a complete list of everything this new base-game patch introduces to ESO, visit our Patch Notes forum.
