– Hi, guys!

- At first, when we were designing this game, we didn't want to have too much instructions in our game and telling our players what they should be doing. Instead, we were hoping Keplerth will be a free, open and more realistic world, where our players need to explore on their own, like they would do if it happened in our real life. Also, we hoped our players will feel excited and surprised when they learn or discover new things that they were not aware of in the game. However, we found that the lack of instructions may be not friendly for some of those who just start playing our game, so we decided to change and work on that.

Details of Alpha 13B Update:

New Contents:
  1. - Add a simple beginner-friendly guidance.

  2. - Add Note System (mobs have possibility of dropping note items that have a clue with coordinate)

Adjustments:
  1. - Adjust Insector Queen’s skill effects.

  2. - Add different colors of slash effects for Goblin, Insector and Parasect weapons.

- Hello, everyone! In order to be more accurate, we decided to change our version to Alpha, and we're sorry that we used the wrong and misleading version name for Keplerth before.

- Another very important thing is that because our team is very understaffed (only 3 developers are working on this game), so one of our friends was asked to help us out in communicating and responding to our steam community, emails and some other social medias for the past few months. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, due to her personal reasons, she was unable to continue on this work anymore, and our communication in our steam community was forced to stop. We sincerely apologize for what is happening and any inconvenience this may cause. We're currently still trying to do some hiring, so we really hope you can understand and give us some time to find the right person for this job. In the meantime, we will not be able to respond comments from our steam community (we're very struggling with English, and it almost took us a whole day to write this update news). However, we will still read and take notes from all of your feedback and suggestions while ensure the progress of our development.

- Lastly, we promise that no matter what happens, we will never stop developing this game. All of our actions and regular updates will be the best proof of our promise.


Details of Alpha 13 Update:

New Contents:
  1. Add a Boss to underground insector layers, players can manually activate the boss battle with Insector Queen (there will be a body left on the ground once the boss is dead, materials will be dropped when players destroy the remaining body)

  2. Add two accessories which drop from Insector Queen: Parasect Stone and Poison Spore

  3. Add armor items to crafting list of Insector Fusion Pool: Parasect Outfit, Parasect Gloves and Parasect Shoes

  4. Add weapon items to crafting list of Insector Fusion Pool: Parasect Sickle, Parasect Plasma Gun and Insector Drill

  5. Add particle effects for debuffs, such as poisoned, lower speed and etc.

  6. Add Goblin mobs: Goblin Knight, Goblin Tamer (has capture skill), Goblin Zombie Dog and Goblin Warhorse

  7. Add two armor items which drop from Goblin Knight and Goblin Tamer

  8. Add a rare wild hostile animal: Leopard

  9. Add four kinds of metal Tiki Torch

  10. Add four kinds of metal Table

Adjustments:
  1. Game is now running at the background as well.

  2. Fusion pool (the insector workbench) is no longer randomly generated in insector layers (i.e. on underground level 5-9), it can now only be dropped from the boss Insector Queen.

  3. Game will now be saved even when players directly close the game by clicking the close button in the top right-hand corner or pressing Alt + F4 keys.

  4. Decrease the effect of Attack received from all types of ATK Capsule by 1 point.

Fixes:
  1. Fixed the bug where players might not be able to rescue their tamed Boar King when it was dying.

  2. Fixed the bug where there might be no particle effect or sound when attacking Insector Nests.

  3. Fixed the bug where animals might not be following the players after Pheromones were used.

New Contents:
  1. Add Pet and Mounts System
    - All non-humanoid creatures are tameable, and tamed pet can participate in combat.
    - Pets currently only have fighting and riding features, but more features will be added in the future.

  2. Add an item dropped from mobs: Monster Skin

  3. Add an item dropped from cows: Leather

  4. Add items to crafting list of Handcraft: Leather Armor, Leather Gloves, Leather Shoes

  5. Add an item to crafting list of Goblin Workbench: Pet Collar

  6. Add items to merchant NPCs’ list of selling items: Leather, Pet Collar

  7. Add an item dropped from grass: Grass Seed

  8. Add a new animal: Horse


Adjustments:
  1. Shotgun weapons now have a higher damage and a slightly narrower attack range.

  2. Adjust the rule of determining a safe/housing area – mobs do not respawn in an area where ALL of the walls/fences/blocks around that area are placed by you and the size of each room is below 40x40. (Titanium walls of the ship are also considered as yours)

  3. Add a 10-minute countdown timer to death marker. Multiple death markers now can be existed at the same time and they will be disappeared after the countdown.


Fixes:
  1. Fixed the bug where animals might run outside of the fences/walls.

  2. Fixed the bug where mobs might respawn in mountains and walls.

  3. Fixed the bug which the effect of racial buffs might be lost after death.

  4. Fixed the bug where furnace/stove/campfire might produce infinite units of item when players close their backpack during the progress.

  5. Fixed the bug where wrong amount of silver coins might be charged when buying goods from merchant NPC.

  6. Fixed the bug where Handcraft menu might be wrongly appeared on Workbench menu.

Hello guys!

This week’s update is mainly to fix some serious bugs in the game. We expect to have an update with pet & mounts next week (it still requires some more tests).

Adjustment:
  • The colors on top of Iron, Silver, Coal and Sulfur ores are adjusted, and it’s now easier to distinguish them from the stone.

Fixes:
  1. Fixed the issue of failed to auto-save the game.

  2. Fixed the bug which dropped items after death might be appeared on the wrong floors under Classic Mode.

  3. Fixed the bug which the effects of equipped accessories might be lost after death under Casual Mode.

  4. Fixed the bug which wooden model could burn indefinitely when it was used as a fuel.

  5. Fixed the bug where items might be produced with extra units at Workbench.

  6. Fixed the bug where additional units might be deducted when selling items to merchant NPCs.

  7. Fixed the bug where a human character might have a slow eating speed when eating for the first time.

Adjustments:

  • Adjusted drop rate of tree/bush seeds to 100%
  • Slightly increase the amount of satiety restored from fruits.
  • Increase satiety restored from meal items.
  • Slightly decrease hunger caused by axe/pickaxe tools.
  • Significantly decrease hunger speed under Casual Mode.
  • Slightly increase hunger speed under Hardcore Mode.
  • Added condition description to the weapon/armor items that are selling from merchant NPCs.
  • Added slot descriptions for equipment slots in the bottom right hand corner.


Fixes:

  • Fixed the bug where screen might crash after deleting a character on the character selection menu.
  • Fixed the bug which the condition description of a weapon/armor (the ones from merchant NPCs) might disappear after the purchase.
  • Fixed the bug where the scroll bar might not return to its original place after the crafting/store window is closed.
  • Fixed the bug where there might be a change in structure or a goblin village appeared in the underground.

We originally planned to launch our next version in the next 2-3 months, but we were concerned that our players may feel a lack of content of our game, so we decided to divide it into 4 parts/updates to complete (instead of one big update). We hope our players can help us with testing new features and reporting bugs as we develop. Also, we are looking forward to hear more of your feedback and suggestions. Thank you!

V1.1.4817 Update includes the following (the ones with a tick):

(√) Friendly NPCs and their villages.
(√) Trading system (between players and NPCs).
( ) Interactions with NPCs (missions, trading, recruit).
( ) Pet and mount system, you will be able to ride an animal or make it as a mobile chest.
( ) Followers/companions, your journey is no longer alone.
( ) More underground structures and bosses.

Details of V1.1.4817 Update

New Contents:

1. Added friendly NPCs with very basic AI and a simple trading system. Now, you can trade resources with a merchant NPC.

  • Added the item “Coin”, and some new outfits and items.
  • You can now sell your items for Coins.
  • Silver or Gold bars now can be used to make coins (through an Anvil), and coins can be smelted into metal bars as well.
  • Coin can be used to buy items from merchant NPCs.
  • Merchant NPC will renew their selling goods on a regular basis.
  • More contents and features for friendly NPCs and the trading system are still in development.

2. Added difficulty levels. You can now choose from three different difficulties.

  • Casual mode: Beginner friendly - The enemies are less harmful, and your items will remain in your backpack even if you die.
  • Classic mode: Classic Keplerth - If you die, all your backpack items will be dropped on the ground.
  • Hardcore mode: Tough Time - The enemies are more brutal and you only have one life. If you are dead, you are permanently dead.

3. Added display of some information.

  • Added time
  • Added survival day.
  • Added floor level of your current location.


Adjustments:

  • Each race now has more skin colors to choose from.
  • You can now craft Bone Flower Pot by using a Goblin Workbench.
  • Dropped items will now disappear after 10 minutes instead of 5 minutes, and they will also not disappear right away if you exit the game.
  • The color of iron ores is adjusted, and it’s now easier to distinguish it from the stone.
  • The amount of meats dropped from an adult animal is now reduced to 1, and the baby animals will no long drop any meats.
  • Slightly decrease the amount of satiety restored from fruits.
  • Slightly enhance Goblin King’s fighting ability.
  • Increase the durability of shovels.
  • Increase the HP of Chest items.
  • Increase the damage and the damage range of explosive barrel.
  • Decrease the drop rate of seed items.
  • Sleeping on a bed will now ask you if you are sure to set it as your home and respawn point.
  • Increase the effect of Hunger debuffs.
  • Slightly increase the hunger caused by sword weapons.
  • Significantly increase the hunger caused by spear weapons.
  • 10 Stone Arrows now require 3 Stones and 1 Wood.
  • Your walking speed will now be slower when you are shooting with a ranged weapon or throwing weapon.
  • You can now craft Wooden Bow and Stone Arrow with bare hands.
  • Slightly decrease the shooting speed of bow weapons.
  • Shotgun weapons now have a slightly narrower attack range.
  • Shotgun weapons now have a slightly narrower attack range.
  • Adjusted the description of some items.
  • Dirt/Sand Door are now craftable at Workbench.
  • Dirt/Snow Round Table are now craftable at Workbench.
  • Dirt/Snow Chair are now craftable at Workbench.

Fixes:

  • Fixed the bug which a helmet might appear on the top of a flower pot.
  • Fixed the bug where players might be unable to pick up their items after dying in underground.
  • Fixed the bug where the map might become blurry and tearing apart after player died.
  • Fixed the bug where Boar King’s melee attack might become a ranged attack when it performed a charge ability in a trapped area.
  • Fixed the bug which animals might occasionally stop eating or breeding.
  • Fixed the bug where the copper/iron/silver/gold blocks placed by our players might disappear.
  • Fixed the bug where placed items might appear underneath the Table instead of above the Table.

Early Access Version

Although Keplerth is still in development, but we believe that the current version of our game is highly playable, so we think it is ready for early access. However, the current version may contain all sorts of bugs, missing features or misspellings, so please let us know if you find any errors. We are also very looking forward to hear what you think about our game, and we will love to include some of your great ideas into the game. So, any feedbacks and suggestions will be very welcomed!

Our plans for next version

  • Add more underground structures and modify the bosses.
  • Add friendly NPCs, which you can interact with them (missions, trading, recruit).
  • Add trading system, this allows you to trade resources with NPCs.
  • Add pet and mount system, you will be able to ride an animal or make it as a mobile chest.
  • Add combat partners, so your journey is no longer alone.
