Hopalong: The Badlands v0.8 Update Notes
- Outskirts has been expanded into an entire chapter with 4 new areas to explore
- 2 all new Outskirts areas
- 2 brand new Mine areas within the Outskirts chapter
- Added hidden collectibles for players to find
- Performance improvements for bandit AI
- Removed sad tumbleweed from Canyon level, increased mood by 30%
- Added new VO work
- Fixed bug where stick horses became sentient and attempted a revolution
- More bug fixes


We’ve added two brand new explorable outdoor areas to the Outskirts level already in game. Speed through cliff passes, find hidden paths, and breathe in the wide new vistas!



Deep in the hills and cliffs, the Boomity Boys have taken over the minecart system and set up shop! In addition to the Outskirts areas, there are two all new Mines for players to explore. Packed full of dark corners, hidden passages, and xplosive puzzles, there’s no telling what the Sheriff will face in those dark caves…



Players can now find Sheriff Stars hidden throughout each of the levels. The amount collected thus far is displayed outside of each tunnel in the main menu of the game. Think you can dodge, duck, and dig your way to each stars hiding spot?



Careful Sheriff, them Boomity boys in the canyons have been talking amongst themselves since you got here… Something about changing up their tactics.

Hopalong: The Badlands v0.7 Update Notes
- Added new horse abilities
- Added difficulty settings
- Player's dynamite weapon fuse now visually burns down.
- Improved bandit AI
- Made bandits more resilient to pick
- Switched stick horse feed from hay to magic alfalfa
- Held violence seminar for dynamite gang

Horse Abilities
Faster, stronger, more deadly. Your favorite trusty steed now has it’s own ability to keep you safe and help thwart those nasty dynamite boys. Need more health? Want to ride as fast as a rattlesnake’s bite? Swing by the corral and check em out!



Difficulty Settings
Ever thought to yourself “these dynamite boys aren’t so tough. I could do this with my eyes closed”? Well then do we have a solution for you! You can now change the difficulty of the game before entering a level with our new difficulty settings. Be wary, only the boldest riders should try the higher settings…

Howdy cowpokes! We've just uploaded a new build of Hopalong: The Badlands that includes the following changes:

- Fixed some body collision issues
- Fixed a visual bug with gun unlocks
- Fixed some collision issues with player horses and weapons
- Fixed an issue with weapon swapping sometimes resulting in holding an invisible weapon.
- Fixed an issue where AI would not always pursue player
- That darn hat in the main menu is movable now

Our plan for the weeks ahead will focus on expanding the first level, Outskirts, into an entire chapter containing multiple areas, new visuals, and new secrets to uncover.

We'll also be adding some new horsey-related features, as well as a new difficulty system for all you rough riding tough desperados out there.
