Welcome, friends! Some exciting Bru & Boegie news in this post!
Episode 2 has been announced! Ha cha cha cha. We pick things up directly after the events of Episode 1. It's now... time to 'Get da SUGAR!'. Ma boi Bru gotta get a coffee somehow. I've completed much of the story outlining and plan to start production on it once I'm done with Episode 1's launch preps.
Episode 2 is shaping up to be roughly twice the length of Episode 1, also featuring a fully-voiced cast and original soundtrack, with even more bizarre characters, environments and puzzles - overall, more of the good stuff. I have plans for the Episode 3 finale too, but one thing at a time.

The freely downloadable Episode 1 Steam demo will be launching in a couple of weeks. I plan to submit the demo for Steam’s NextFest that happens in October, where the eyeballs of an entirely new audience will be exposed to Bru’s extremely bright tighty whities, intended to dazzle and amaze. I plan to launch the full game shortly afterwards.
The Steam version features improved audio treatment and balancing, re-processed voices and some new environmental audio effects. There’s also 14 Steam Achievements and also Steam Cloud Saves, so players should be able to sync saves across devices, and play the demo and continue their progress in the full game. I'm planning to add a couple more options too. The Steam version will be by far the best way to experience the game.
I plan to launch the free public Steam demo next month in August, and then the full game on October 29 this year.

I recently posted a video detailing all my videogame and animation Bru & Boegie updates, including my 10-min animated Bru & Boegie short ‘METEORITE’ that I completed animation on a couple of weeks ago. I decided this year to focus on my own projects, so I’ve ONLY been doing Bru & Boegie work - it’s been fantastic, all-consuming, and there’s always more to do.
In the video above, I share some of my process for designing the backgrounds for Episode 2:
Also, after the game launched on itch.io I wrote a post-launch blog on my website with further thoughts and insights:

That about wraps it up for now. Please don’t forget to Wishlist Episode 1 and 2, and thank you for your continued interest in Bru & Boegie - it means the world to me. ❤️
Hey everyone :)
Smaller update, I've been working on some experimental fixes over on the experimental branch. This includes a few bug fixes, some rendering changes, internal time sync improvements, and some more.
From what I have heard, these changes have helped improve some problems, so if you're having an issue, try this first!
I will have a proper update and patch notes out soon once a few more things are dealt with, thank you for having patience as I get all of these problems out of the way. If you have run into an issue, and you haven't let me know about it via Steam's discussions or the Discord, please make sure to do so! Logs in the form of the log.txt next to your game files, a screenshot of your multiplayer debug menu, and / or a video of your problem go a long way in helping me root out these issues.

Fellow Employees, Sintracorp is proud to announce the release of mod support for Yuppie Psycho (BETA), and we’re really excited to finally share it with you.
With these new tools, you can create your own floors, characters, dialogue, and even music. Whether you want to make a sequel, a side story, or something completely new, you now have the power to build your own version of Yuppie Psycho.
You can try right now "Hawaiian Day" an independent short story (15–20 minutes) we created to show the capabilities of the MOD tools. It's also a fun way to see some of our favorite characters from Sintracorp one more time.
Also we recommend you to join our Discord Server. There you’ll find all the guides, documentation, and support you need to get started, plus a space to share your creations and try out other people’s mods.
This is a big step for the community, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.
In parallel, we’re also sharing a new teaser trailer & Devlog for Catechesis, our upcoming horror RPG title.

Devlog
There’s also a new devlog that gives a detailed look at the current state of development. We recently held private playtesting sessions with other developers, who tried out the first three dungeons and shared a lot of valuable feedback. Overall, the response was positive, but we’re making adjustments to the difficulty curve and fine-tuning progression to make the experience more balanced and accessible. The devlog also dives into key mechanics, like the skill tree, how demon blood works, and how checkpoint altars function. We also introduce two new enemies (Kefalipos and Osonupo) and expand on the game’s characters and story, especially the role of the church and Daniel’s relationship with his grandfather and mentor, Don Ezequiel.
We hope you enjoy all the updates and thank you for your patience and support. Catechesis is shaping up to be a big game, and we want to take the time needed to get it right.
While you're here, why not take a look at our Carnival of Chaos and sample our devilishly ghoulish collection of indie game demos from Neon Doctrine and our fiendish friends?

Hello again, acolytes of Tabal. We’re back with new updates on Catechesis and a special surprise for Yuppie Psycho fans.
Development Progress
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been running private playtests of the first three dungeons in Catechesis. Feedback has been very positive, especially around progression and combat. However, the early difficulty curve was too steep, so we’re adjusting that to make the experience more welcoming. Whether you enjoy action or exploration, the progression system lets you tailor the game to your playstyle.
Skill Trees
The skill tree is powered by demon blood, a resource earned from defeating enemies. It can be spent at Tabalist altars to unlock new skills and level up. If Daniel dies before using it, you’ll need to retrieve the blood from where you fell. Very similar to Souls games. Other collectibles like hearts, bones, and eyes improve healing and faith abilities, helping you stay alive longer.
Characters
At the heart of the game is Daniel’s church, where his eccentric grandfather Don Ezequiel serves as priest. When Ezequiel falls ill, Daniel’s quest begins. Alongside him are characters like Mrs. Cordelia, a sharp-tongued family friend with a deep connection to the church’s past.
Lastly, we’re thrilled to announce that Yuppie Psycho now has official mod support. Create new stories, characters, music, and more. Join our Discord to try it out and share your creations.
Also we recommend you to join our Discord Server. There you’ll find all the guides, documentation, and support you need to get started, plus a space to share your creations and try out other people’s mods.
I know this game is taking forever. Thank you so much for your patience and support. This project is longer than our previous games, and it’s taking a bit more time to polish. But it will be worth the wait, I promise!
Thanks for following along. More news and surprises are coming soon.
Amen, Tabal!
